Time of Reading 3:40 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Mass. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [1322].
2. Now, as we find, there are physical disturbances that affect both the physical and the mental reactions of the body. These as we find, while they may be said to be that of incoordination, are the effect of glandular disturbances as well as the manner in which assimilation has taken place or does take place; and because the physical connections are associated with pressures which exist in the coccyx area as well as in the 4th lumbar - that arise from conditions - physical in the MANNER of presentation at the time of birth, and those associated conditions as go with same.
3. The glandular forces are affected in the pineal and the pituitary glandular system. Hence we find the growth in the physical one thing and that in the reflexes to the sympathetic and the physical body another.
4. These as we find may be materially aided. While this will, to be sure, be somewhat slow in the beginning, with the proper applications and with the proper balance created by those ministrations of those elements or forces as produce a coordination between the glandular forces of the body itself by effects from without, and coordinant conditions create by corrections in the physical structure so that relief is brought by removal of pressure, we should by the next cycle of development have a much nearer normal body.
5. In making the administrations, then, we find there is the tendency in the lacteal ducts, in the right portion, for the adherence of the ducts as to almost form scar tissue; by the non-activity of the glandular system in the portions as affect same through - or accompanied with - the activity extending along the cerebrospinal system.
6. In making application in this particular area, we would use heat that carries with same those tendencies for
1322-1 Page 2
relaxing the portions of the body; that is, we would have the deep or full application occasionally of the Castor Oil Packs - a day or two at a time, then let the body rest from same for a week and then have same administered again. Keep these on for about an hour at a time, changed about twice during that time. Use for a day or two days, then skip a week, and then apply again.
7. We would have the adjustments osteopathically in the lumbar and throughout the sacral area. These need to be lifted as much as the re-cushioning as it were almost of the area about the 4th lumbar plexus. These adjustments should be made in the beginning about once each week, and are to be kept throughout the periods for at least twenty-eight treatments - or during those periods of the rest as well as the application of those other things suggested, the first series of adjustments should be made.
8. Also we would add the vibrations of the Wet Cell Appliance carrying alternately the Chloride of Gold and the commercial strength Atomidine. These we would keep for a whole period of twenty-eight days, then have a rest period of twenty-eight days, and then begin again and give same for twenty-eight days more. Each day make the attachments, one day with the Chloride of Gold solution, the next day with the Atomidine solution - thirty minutes at each treatment. In both cases the attachments would be made in this manner: The smaller plate would be attached first, to the 4th lumbar; while the larger plate - through which the solution passes, or the vibrations from same - would be attached last, to the lacteal and the umbilicus plexus - a hand's breadth (not a span, just a hand's breadth without the thumb) from the umbilicus plexus directly toward the right side. Keep the anodes very, very clean.
9. In the matter of the diets, be mindful there is not too much of sweets; none of fats as from meats, though butterfats and nuts may be given - but not with sweets.
10. These as we find would bring for the body those conditions that will prove the more and more helpful; and as conditions develop, those changes necessary may be given.
11. Ready for questions.
12. (Q) Can there be any hope of continued progress in the future and how far will he go mentally? (A) As we find, if these are administered we may hope for and find continued progress in the mental and physical development of the body. As to how far mentally, this to be sure depends upon MANY circumstances. This may be best given as conditions develop.
13. (Q) What is the treatment for his bed-wetting?
1322-1 Page 3
(A) As we find, as the applications are made there will be the better control of the mental and the reactions to the physical forces of the body, and this may be gradually overcome.
14. (Q) We are thinking of sending him to the Woods School in Langhorne, Penna., for special training. What do you think of this arrangement? (A) This we would not give until at least three to six months of this treatment may be administered, and then we may give those suggestions as to where or how the better training for the changes and the developing body may be given. Give these as indicated, then, for at least ninety to a hundred and twenty days; giving the period of rest and the period of applications as indicated. Do that.
15. We are through for the present. Copy to Mother " " Mr. [1323] " " Ass'n file
