Time of Reading 12:15 to 12:45 Noon - Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia. (Body and enquiring mind, who seeks information, advice and guidance as to her mental, material and spiritual welfare; especially in reference to the divorce pending between herself and husband, and the conditions and circumstances surrounding their relationship. Questions.)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [1326], present in this room; and those relations in the mental, in the material and spiritual welfare of the body.
2. First, as we would find, there should be within the body-mind itself a self-analysis of what has prompted, does prompt much of that as desired in the material ways and manners by the body in the present.
3. For unless there is in the mental self an ideal, just as there was in the consummation of the relationships of the entity, it is merely an idea. But were those activities first impelled by a spiritual insight, that was of a creative force or energy?
4. Has there been the lack of the thought of self? or rather those experiences in which the ideas respecting the relationships in every form have become rather as forgotten promises, forgotten endeavors even? and the desires for self-domination, self-gratification, self-glorification?
5. And these have brought and will ever bring, in the experience of each and every entity that allows same to become as the dominant factors in its activities, turmoils and strifes that make the experiences which bring about heartaches and disappointments in the material affairs and relationships of individuals.
6. But choose thou rather the better way, in knowing that as He hath promised in His relationships of life in the material way, if there is the conforming in self to the ideals that are set by Him, these will bring peace and harmony and understanding in the relationships in every manner.
1326-1 Page 2
7. For if the body-mind holds in the mental activities; in the mental attitudes, the fruits of the spirit, then indeed will the experiences in the physical and material life become easily understood.
8. And whatever may be the choices of others, let self determine: "Others may do as they may, but as for me - I will serve a living God. I will manifest love, I will manifest patience, I will manifest longsuffering, I will manifest brotherly love."
9. And in so doing there will come in the daily experience that which will bring from turmoils, strifes, heartaches, disappointments, those promises as He hath given, "My peace I leave with you" - not as the world knoweth peace, but that as satisfies the longings of the soul and makes for that experience in the lives of individuals when the outlook becomes more hopeful in Him, in Life, in thy Brother, in thy associations.
10. For if ye would have peace, be peaceable. If ye would have friends, show thyself friendly. If ye would be loved, be lovely to those ye know, ye meet, yea to thy enemies, to those that despitefully use you; for in thus doing ye may find that happiness, those promises as thy very own.
11. And until each soul, each entity, claims His promises as their own and in their daily lives, and their daily associations - manifest them to those they meet - they know not the truth of His promises.
12. For as He hath so oft given, "Though ye be afar off, if ye will call I will hear - and will answer speedily."
13. Then, to know those influences, to know those activities, to know the ways of dealing with thy problems day by day:
14. Affirm - then live it:
15. "I AM THINE, O GOD. THY PROMISES ARE UNTO ME. I SEEK TO KNOW THY WILL, THAT I MAY DO AND WALK IN THE WAY THOU WOULD HAVE ME GO, DAY BY DAY. NOT FOR MYSELF BUT THAT THOU MAY BE GLORIFIED IN AND THROUGH THE CHOICES THAT I MAY MAKE IN MY DEALINGS WITH MY PROBLEMS, MY FELLOW MAN, MY CONDITIONS IN EVERY WAY."
16. Then be guided by that which speaks from within, and not by every word of others that would have thee defy this, or demand that, or to feel thou art being mistreated in this or that manner. For if thou art God's, if thou art living in His ways, if thou art doing His biddings day by day, they that mistreat thee, they that condemn thee, they that find fault are finding same with God and not with thee!
17. The assurance then is within self.
18. As to how to meet each problem:
1326-1 Page 3
19. Take it to Jesus! He IS thy answer. He is Life, Light and Immortality. He is Truth, and is thy elder brother.
20. Not as to who will ascend into heaven to bring thee a message, or who would go over the sea that ye might know of Him, but He is in thine own heart; for He hath given, "Behold I stand at the door and knock."
21. Will ye open and let Him in? For in HIM is strength, not in the law, not in the man, not in the multitudes of men, nor of conditions or circumstance. For He ruleth, He maketh them - every one. For hath it not been given or told thee, hath it not been known in thine experience that "He is the Word, He maketh all that was made, and without Him there was nothing made that was made"? And He LIVETH in the hearts and the souls of those who seek to do His biddings.
22. This, then, is not idealistic - but an IDEAL!
23. "What would Jesus have me do" regarding every question in thy relationships with thy fellow man, in thy home, in thy problems day by day. This rather should be the question, rather than "What shall I do?"
24. "LORD, I AM THINE, AND IN THY WAYS I WOULD GO. DIRECT THOU ME IN EVERY WAY."
25. Ready for questions.
26. (Q) Considering that I still love my husband and want to win him back, please advise me just what is best. (A) Then ACT THAT WAY. Not in any manner condoning those unhappy happenings, but forgetting self. How hath He put it? Love knoweth no evil; love thinketh no evil; love beareth all things, endureth all things - without question. Then if that is thy purpose, take it to Jesus - and He will direct thee, He will guide thee. If thy mate then chooses to flaunt it all and to abuse, mistrust and leave all those things - bear it without question; trusting in God and the promises in Jesus, and ye will find peace and harmony and glorious happiness in service to others.
27. (Q) Is it best to go through with the divorce, or drop it? (A) Leave it as it is. Act as thy heart dictates, as thy conscience dictates. In the prayerful approach to ALL the problems be guided by the heart and conscience. "Not my way but Thine, O God" doth the love that passeth understanding give to the experience of each and every soul. If ye would claim his love, be lovely!
28. (Q) If I do drop it, would he get the divorce himself! (A) How hath it been given! "Let others do as they may,
1326-1 Page 4
but for me - I WILL LOVE; I will worship, I will do as the living God would direct in my experience day by day."
29. (Q) Is there anything in my character that would hurt me in a divorce suit? (A) Do not seek same if there is that love as indicated in thy desire to hold. If it is to hold for self, selfish motives, desires for self in an indulgence in any manner, then erase same from thine experience. For the answer is ever "My SPIRIT beareth witness with thy spirit, whether ye be the children of God or not." And if the answer comes in thine own activities that He beareth witness with thee, that thou art doing, thou art being all - not as MAN'S law has set but that God hath wrought, then ye need fear naught. For He will guide and direct.
30. (Q) Would my husband bring out anything in court against my character? If so, what? (A) As has been indicated, do not seek same. If he seeks same, say nothing.
31. (Q) Should I attempt to win my husband back? If so, how? (A) As has been given; as ye would that he should do to YOU, do YE even so to him - in EVERY manner, in every way. Is the approach, the promise, the voice, not to thee? Are they in keeping with thy ideals of thy Maker and His love as shown to thee? Then win those to thee through the showing forth of the fruits of the spirit of truth - patience, long-suffering, brotherly love, loving kindness. And ye will find that the promptings will be thy experience. Only in casting thyself wholly upon the Lord may ye know the spiritual and mental peace that is the birthright of every soul. Only in defying same, through those things that are of any nature in the ways of abuse of privileges, ye become entangled in confusion, doubt and fear. LOVE the Lord and His ways, and keep them day by day!
32. (Q) When we had been married three and a half years, why did I become pregnant right on the verge of our separation two months ago? (A) That there might be the consummation of that in the vows thou had taken. Then hold fast to the love that makes for the procreation of a body and mind expression and soul activity. For these be

in keeping with God's ways with those who walk not after His ordinances. Let that given thee, then, guide thee; that the soul of thee, that the heart of thee, may sing again with the glory of God's way with thee!
