Time of Reading 12:25 to 1:00 Noon - Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [1334], present in this room.
2. Now as we find the conditions-physical in this body, it will be as giving rather the history of disturbing influences that have existed as to their causes - which at the time were not wholly understood; and the applications that have made for changes and for corrections in many ways.
3. Hence as we find there are TENDENCIES, or inclinations, rather than saying there are such great SPECIFIC disturbances in the physical force.
4. However, we find that with certain conditions overcome, or the causes of the inclinations, there would be a reaction much more in keeping with the normal activities of this body, [1334] we are speaking of, present in this room.
5. In the disturbing forces then, as we find, and as has been indicated, there were those conditions arising in times back from an injury by pressure - caused, as it were, in portions of the internal system as related to the flow of the lymph to the activity of the upper portion of those areas above the kidneys and just below the stomach itself.
6. Thus, becoming activative in the flow of the lymph, there was produced a reaction called rheumatic, or a condition of poor elimination - producing poisons; when the POISONS came from the accumulations as produced by pressures in the portions of the system interfering between the deeper and the superficial circulations.
7. Hence those inclinations as we have had, and find in the present, as to the keeping of a normal balance in the circulatory forces as related to the activity of the pulsation and respiratory system; and the effect that is created at times upon the lower hepatic circulation, as related to eliminations in those portions of the digestive forces below the diaphragm area.
8. These then are the conditions as we find them with this
1334-2 Page 2
body, [1334] we are speaking of:
9. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find the indications of there being at times hindrances, by conditions that maybe called not lesions in true nature, not of those natures that arise even from tissue adherence.
10. For these are through the emunctory flow in the digestive system, about the pancreas, spleen and liver flow - in the entrance to same in its activity through the lower portions of the duodenum and the digestive forces that act therewith; the lacteals in their broader sense.
11. While these have been in some respects corrected by the increasing of the flow through the areas by the stimulations to the ganglia through the upper, or through the 3rd, 4th and 5th dorsal centers, we find that the reaction to these is FROM the coccyx AND the lumbar area.
12. Hence if these were included as a portion of the correction (the coccyx and lumbar) - where the lower portion of the solar plexus ganglia has been affected as indicated in the upper portion of the hepatics, and those as relate to the activities in the lower hepatics - we would find this pulsation, this respiratory reaction becoming nearer to a normal impulse.
13. We would find the enriching also of the blood force by the better activity of assimilation in coordination between the flow from the pancreas, the spleen, the gall duct area, becoming more and more normal.
14. And to aid in such resuscitations, we find that to add from the external the mechanical or osteopathic manipulations or adjustments for such is much better than to attempt to create a balance by medicinal flows that overstimulate the organic functionings, and not receive from the impulse that to carry off the excess of the flows that are produced by the activity of the organs themselves.
15. Too seldom is there considered in such conditions, as formerly existed with this body, the fact that the very activities, the impulses, leave drosses or ash - or used energies that must be eliminated, when eliminations, drainages and activities of the whole system are considered.
16. For thus is the very activity of the lymph and the leucocyte through the system, in its flow and activity with the functionings of the system.
17. IN THE NERVE FORCES OF THE BODY, as may be indicated, there are then areas upon which pressures have existed; as at times through overfatigue, over-activity - especially in certain positions of the body, if there is the attempting of the body to continue in a stooping position or an over-activity, makes for tiredness of unusual natures.
1334-2 Page 3
18. These reactions then are in the muscular forces and reflexes produced in the coordination between sympathetic or vegetative nerve system and the deeper or the cerebrospinal, as has been indicated especially in the sacral and ileum plexus and specific in the coccyx centers.
19. Hence we find to relieve the pressures as related to the disturbing forces - the pressures from the coccyx end, coordinated with those from the upper dorsal and through the 9th dorsal center; not so much a movement in the dorsals as in the coccyx area - would make for the setting of a more normal activity and would change the flow in the direction of making corrections for this body.
20. IN THE ACTIVITY OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, through the very nature of the reflexes produced, periods occur when there are the reflexes from the sympathetic and the activities of the cerebrospinal such that there are those reactions of lapses. Not that the mental activities or brain forces are influenced save as lapses between impulse and activity.
21. Though the reflexes from the brain centers to the bodily forces are very good, there are the impediments that go along the areas of the sympathetic on either side of the cerebrospinal so that - Well, the mind is called somewhere else before it's carried out what it's intended to do!
22. These occur at times and cause the body some disturbance. They are only sympathetic conditions, and are NOT organic, nor even functional - merely reflex from pressures and deflections as we have indicated.
23. In the organs of the head - the eyes, the ears, the nose, the throat, the activities of the circulatory forces through these - we find indications of a slowing up.
24. And as the activities of the flow of the lymph have been a portion of the disturbance, as we have indicated, there are excesses through these areas - or not the full proper flow.
25. Now: When those reliefs are made of the pressures in the coccyx, the coordination with those in the 9th dorsal and in the upper dorsal areas - naturally the coordination in the activity of the cervicals throughout will cause better drainages from the activities of the organs of the sensory system, and these will improve.
26. The hearing, the sight, the abilities to taste (though these are oft considered very good in these directions in the present), all of the organs of these will be strengthened by the new impulses as will be received.
27. The lungs, the bronchi and larynx - here, as has been indicated in old periods, from the condition in the
1334-2 Page 4
respiratory system, there is the fullness and not the full inhalations in the lung forces themselves as should be. Not an organic condition, but the lack of the lung forces themselves being able to expand to the activities in the system itself.
28. The upper portion FULL, and the expansion is very good - it does not reach to the deeper one, as has been indicated.
29. Now the releases from the 9th dorsal, as reflex with the deeper portions of the vegetative nerve system - Now the removal of pressures - Then COORDINATE (this is speaking osteopathically) the areas in the ganglia that feed to the lower portion - and we will find a renewing, a reviving, even of the lymph flow through the pleura; where in times back were disturbing forces, combined with the pressures that created the disturbances which caused first these inclinations.
30. In the digestive system - here we find the indications of those same characters of reaction, though not so much as might be indicated by the periods the body has with an upsetting of the balance of the acidity and the alkalinity of the body. For these come rather as impulses, rather as suggestions of the body mentally and physically being upset, than as physical conditions and reactions of same.
31. However, as has been indicated, the very activities of the spleen and pancreas, and the gall duct as acting for assimilation for the functionings of the glandular forces, become disturbed. These, though, are sympathetic; and, as indicated, would respond with a stimulation.
32. The lower digestive forces, the activity of the kidneys as related to the upper or the liver circulation, or the whole hepatic circulation - here we find, as given, inclinations.
33. At times we find the inclinations from sympathetic forces of overacidity, or coloring with the urine eliminations - the inclinations for these to become as an irritation to the system. These are purely REFLEXES.
34. Hence as we find in bringing for the body ALMOST entire normalcy, and revivifying the whole system:
35. We would administer the manipulations osteopathically in those areas indicated.
36. And then we would add to the system the electrical vibratory forces as compatible with the vibratory rate of the system itself, in the low forms of electrical forces - but preferably from the static natures of same; as may be had from the direct currents from the violet ray that so raises the vibrations that - with the applicator used that is alternated about the body; held in the hand or the foot -
1334-2 Page 5
we would create the better normal forces and the better nature of electrical applications for this body.
37. In the matter of the diets: These naturally as we find become the sources from which assimilation creates or keeps a normal balance in the chemical forces of the system itself.
38. There have been deflections in these directions, as indicated. Then there is the necessity of keeping same in a balance by the addition of properties that would work with the bodily forces themselves.
39. Hence we will find for this particular body that ALL the vegetable forces almost that may be considered which grow UNDER the ground would be the more beneficial; those of all the tuberous natures, but prepared in such ways and manners that the very activities or vibratory forces from same in the assimilations become as portions of the body. Hence prepare these preferably in their OWN juices, their own salts being retained that they may become a portion of the bodily forces themselves (as when prepared in Patapar Paper).
40. Hence the assimilation of the activities from all forms of such vegetables would become portions of the diet for the body; whether it be the artichoke or the turnip or the radish (which would be taken raw, and not all of these cooked necessarily), or the potato, or the oyster plant, or those that carry more of such influences.
41. Not that the leafy vegetables are to be left out entirely; but these would preferably be taken raw.
42. As to meats, we find fish, lamb and fowl are preferable; though beef may be taken if it is PREPARED well in its OWN juices - not so much as a roast, but rather as broiled - but cooking same.
43. These would be the better foods, the better manners for this body.
44. Citrus fruit juices may be taken. Do not take these WITH CEREALS at the same meal! Oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruit are well, and are alkalin in their reaction - UNLESS starches, as especially from cereals, are taken at the same meal; then they become acid-producing for this body, and in ninety-nine cases out of a hundred become so for any other body!
45. In the drinks; such as coffee, cocoa or the like in moderation. This is one body that would do well to occasionally take a Coca Cola; not to become as a habituate action, but occasionally this would be GOOD for the body. There are influences in same that would purify the activities of the lower hepatic circulation, that would be
1334-2 Page 6
beneficial. Preferably, though, use that perfectly prepared - BOTTLED, rather than from the counter - for they are more uniform.
46. Do these, and keep these in the ways and manners indicated - we will find better conditions for this body, [1334].
47. Ready for questions.
48. (Q) What is the pain I have some mornings in the region of my heart? (A) These are rather the reflexes from the pleura about the lower portions of the lungs, than of the heart's activity itself. And as has been indicated, with the increasing of the circulation through the respiratory system, by the removal of pressures and the activities in those portions indicated, these should disappear.
49. (Q) If my health and practice would be benefited by work with either or both Dr. Kristine Mann [See 3/16/39 letter - 1334-2, Par. R4] or Dr. Van Dyke [See 1334-1, Par. 48-A, 2/8/37], how ought I to proceed? (A) In either of these we find those variations as to their sources of applications, as related to the metaphysical and the psychological effect in relation to applications to others, would be beneficial. For to make for a better coordination, as we find, as has been indicated as a condition that has arisen from the influences in the body, would be found in studying with such as these - or making applications along the metaphysical and psychological lines. How? These become then as is in the training of ANY portion of the body, mentally, physically or spiritually. If there is any portion neglected, or not active, it becomes dormant. The impulses for this body require not exactly mental gymnastics, but a keeping of the coordination between the reflexes, the impulses and activities. Hence we find through such studies and applications the body would be more efficient; not only efficient in that it might give out to others but more efficient in obtaining more, in seeing more, in gaining more from the actual physical experience of living itself!
50. (Q) What am I doing in my treating that is damaging my abdomen and intestinal tract? (A) This has just been indicated in the very first. In times back there were injuries through those areas by
1334-2 Page 7
pressures, that seemed to have been MASHED between counters, boxes or the like. Now these conditions have WEAKENED the impulses. Hence the corrections of these, through the ways and manners as indicated, should - with, of course, the vibratory forces set up through the character of the electrical forces indicated - so STRENGTHEN the body that these disturbances, these strains produced, would be entirely eradicated from the system.
51. (Q) Are the injuries to my back, received in fall from tree in youth, anything to be concerned about? (A) This is a portion of what has been given from the BEGINNING! These are NOT to be concerned about, if there will be the corrections mechanically or osteopathically, and the stimulations through the electrical forces to reionize or revibrate the system to its attunements of its whole self.
52. (Q) What treatments at the Reilly Institute in Radio City would be beneficial? (A) Well, a general hydrotherapy treatment or a general massage occasionally won't HURT! This would keep rather the superficial AND the deeper circulation coordinant. There MUST be, though, for the better conditions, the manipulations and corrections osteopathically (which are not given at the Reilly Institute), to the coccyx, and through the sacral and ileum plexus, 9th dorsal, upper dorsal; COORDINATING the cervicals with same. Do that.
53. (Q) With whom ought I to always have osteopathic treatment; in other words, who is the one with whom the vibrations and feelings are best? (A) Those that are of the same school, or any in the same vibrations in the social and in the physical activities. As we find, such as those that we have indicated oft - as Day (Daly, Daley (?)), Dobbins, Krauss, or the like - are in keeping with the corrections needed. But any of these that are in sympathy with the activities, of course, would be more efficient for the body.
54. (Q) Will my health allow me to continue in straight osteopathic practice and how ought I to expand its scope and still conserve my energy? (A) As we find, as has been given here, there should not be
1334-2 Page 8
an overtaxing of the body; and there should be periods of relaxation, as there must be in everyone's experience. For the law of the Lord is perfect, and ye must rest one day THOROUGHLY throughout. These applications kept, though, as indicated, will allow the physical conditions to be so improved that these may be kept going more and more. Then, as there are the activities through the metaphysical and psychological associations and activities, there will be allowed greater periods for discussions, greater periods for the body to react by the ABILITIES of the body in writing and the like. This will not only rest the body but will improve the capacities. For as is known by the body, to rest more is to change the way of thinking, to change the way of activity. Thus we find we will rest the body and yet make for greater recuperative forces and additions to the physical and mental and spiritual forces in every way and manner.
