1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [1337].
2. Now as we find, there are disturbing conditions in the physical forces of the body. These are more of what may be said to be a compound than a complex condition. For these have been dependent or are dependent one upon another, though affecting the body at times in different ways.
3. These as we find have to do then with specific conditions as arising from latent disturbances and effects that have been produced in functioning organs in the body.
4. Then, these are conditions as we find them with this body, [1337] we are speaking of:
5. In the blood supply we find there are indications of toxic forces that are produced from a slowed circulation through affected portions of the body, thus producing this compound condition which we find exists.
6. And as we find the disturbed circulation at times produces the disturbance that makes for the greater awareness of same through the nerve forces of the body.
7. These then are the manners of the disturbance, as we find.
8. There has been for some time back a condition existent in the coccyx, and an engorgement in same toward the end of the transverse colon.
9. Hence a fullness some times back in the left side, causing now more of a prolapsus in the descending colon.
10. These effects have been more apparent in times back, but have left their mark upon the system such as to produce other disturbances - and still a portion of this condition exists.
11. Hence we have periods when the poor elimination, when the poor circulation through these portions of the body, upsets the heart's activity and produces a tendency for what may be called at times a murmuring or a tuneful condition in the heart's activity, by the pressure produced upon the organs in the area - and through the circulation causes the
1337-1 Page 2
condition.
12. Then we have not an organic heart reaction or disturbance but an effect, or a disturbance by or through other causes. And if the pressures and the causes are removed, we would find little or no disturbance in this direction.
13. There has also existed in those same areas that pressure which has tended through the pelvic organs to make for a disturbance that produces and irritation by the excess of flow.
14. Hence we find through the area those tendencies for what may be termed leucorrhea, that is an emanation which - through the acidity formed - produces irritations to the vulva or to portions of the organs of the pelvis. This is another reaction but a pressure producing same, causing disturbed circulation - and at times a reaction to the activities of the bladder itself, by acidity.
15. In a condition that exists in the upper dorsal area we find affectation to the circulation through the soft tissue of the face.
16. Hence sinus, antrum, becomes at times choked; the dripping as it were from these, or the excretions in the attempt of the body to increase circulation to do away with or carry off inflammation causing an irritation to the throat and to the digestive system. This is the affectation that causes effects in the lacteals to or from the glandular system.
17. Thus we find that in making applications for helpful conditions, all of these should be taken into consideration. But using the corrective forces as may be had in osteopathic adjustments, with local conditions for the affectations that may be active within themselves, will aid in making or producing the better conditions through the body.
18. Hence we would begin first with the deep osteopathic manipulations. These would be given at least twice to three times a week for a month to six weeks, a rest period of two to three weeks and the again taking a series of treatments - two times each week.
19. In the meantime take small quantities of Atomidine. The dose would be one day ONE minim, in half a glass of water, before the morning meal - or upon arising. The next day and the next day the same, you see - three days. Then for three days take two minims each day. Then leave off for three days. Then begin with the one minim each day for three days, and then two minims each day for three days, and then leave off for three days. Repeat this procedure some three or four periods during the whole time. This is not only to
1337-1 Page 3
cleanse the glandular system but to make for the effect of same upon the glandular forces in the lacteals, and to assist the thyroids in their activity without causing irritations.
20. Be mindful at all times regarding the diet, as respecting the quantities of acids. Have rather an alkalin-reacting diet. Or beware of these in combinations: Do not eat white bread. Do not have white potatoes, spaghetti, macaroni or corn - any two of these at the same meal. Do not have any fried foods, especially as of steak or things of that nature - but broiled, boiled or the like; and especially fish, fowl or lamb should be used if meats at all are taken. One meal each day should have at least a green, raw vegetable. Raw vegetables may be combined and used as a whole meal, or a quantity of one raw vegetable used at a meal; but the raw vegetables at least once during a day combined with some meal, whether noon or at the evening meal.
21. For the irritations through the pelvic organs we would find that douches taken occasionally will be most beneficial, if Glyco-Thymoline is used as an antiseptic. However, in such douches we would use rather the Fountain Syringe and not the spiral or force douche. The proportions would be a tablespoonful of Glyco-Thymoline to a pint of water. Have the water the temperature of the body.
22. Do these, and we will find we will make for near normal conditions, correcting many other disturbances that are of the compound nature through the system, or affectations that arise from these main disturbances.
23. After two, three to four of the osteopathic treatments have been taken, with particular attention to the dorsal area from the 1st and 2nd to the 9th, we find that douches or enemas that will empty the colon will be most helpful.
24. These we would have not too high (the colonic irrigations) but the temperature of the body, and add Soda and Salt to the water for such enemas; proportions a level teaspoonful of Soda and a heaping teaspoonful of Salt to each quart of water, thoroughly dissolved. Use a little Glyco-Thymoline in the last water; not in the same as that from which the saline and Soda solution has been taken, but rinse same and have this as the last portion to prevent irritation in the lower portion of the system and to keep alkalinity also in the body. This taken once a week or twice a month will be found to be most helpful.
25. Ready for questions.
26. We are through for the present.
