Time of Reading 12:20 to 12:35 Noon - Eastern Standard Time. ..., Ohio. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1343]; this we have had before.
2. As we find, many changes have come about in the general physical forces of the body since last we had same here.
3. In the present, as we find, the greater disturbance lies in the inability for proper coordination between the eliminating and assimilating forces of the body.
4. Hence we find these conditions in the present:
5. The blood supply indicates the disturbances in the assimilating forces of the body through the improper coordination between the impulses and the organs' reactions in the body.
6. Thus we have a very high nervous reaction in which at times minor things become the most important in the mind of the body, and most every character of disturbance becomes a portion of the reactions in the body.
7. These also indicate how eliminations are not being cared for properly.
8. Those periods of the nominal reaction to the nervous system (the menopause) are not set in their reaction to the body.
9. Hence we find (though such periods are long passed, as nominal) the nervous disturbance, the inability for proper digestion, the tendencies for the insomnia, the tendencies for the body to become easily excited; the activities through the whole system of heaviness in the extremities, and the imaginative forces becoming as a part of the physical reaction, become part and parcel of the whole disturbance for the body.
10. As we find, in making the proper administrations in the present, these we find would be materially helpful:
11. The combinations that have been indicated for the body as to diet are very good; yet we would add the greater
1343-2 Page 2
strengthening influence without the addition of weight or of heavy foods which would materially aid, and would not irritate those tendencies for the accumulations or separations in the active forces of mucous that has produced and does produce in the lymph those segregations and accumulations about which the body becomes so disturbed at times.
12. These as we find may be had in the Pure Beef Juice; not broth, but prepared in this manner:
13. Take a pound to a pound and a half preferably of the round steak. No fat, no portions other than that which is of the muscle or tendon for strength; no fatty or skin portions. Dice this into half inch cubes, as it were, or practically so. Put same in a glass jar without water in same. Put the jar then into a boiler or container with the water coming about half or three fourths toward the top of the jar, you see. Preferably put a cloth in the container to prevent the jar from cracking. Do not seal the jar tight, but cover the top. Let this boil (the water, with the jar in same) for three to four hours. Then strain off the juice, and the refuse may be pressed somewhat. It will be found that the meat or flesh itself will be worthless. Place the juice in a cool place, but do not keep too long; never longer than three days, see? Hence the quantity made up at the time depends upon how much or how often the body will take this. It should be taken two to three times a day, but not more than a tablespoonful at the time - and this sipped very slowly. Of course, this is to be seasoned to suit the taste of the body. [See 1343-2, Par. R5 attached by Mrs. Edna B. Harrell.]
14. Well, too, that whole wheat or Ry-Krisp crackers be taken with same to make it more palatable.
15. The rest of the diet that has been indicated is very good. We would add occasionally, though, fish and fowl, but not fried - in either case; broiled or roasted.
16. We would use each day for one hour, just before retiring of an evening, the Radio-Active Appliance. This as we find will equalize the circulation and tend to make the body able to rest without sediments or sedatives of any kind. This should be kept very clean - that is, the plates or anodes - and attached to opposite sides of the body; right wrist, left ankle; left wrist, right ankle. In the preparation have the Appliance in the ice, not so much water, and do not allow the water or the ice in the crock container (not a metal) to come over the top of the Appliance at any time. Put the Appliance in the ice fifteen minutes before it is attached to the body, or the leads attached to same to
1343-2 Page 3
attach to the body. Let the Appliance remain in the ice, of course, during the whole period of application. This we would find to be most helpful.
17. Also we would use the Violet Ray, but not strong - and not more than half a minute in the beginning. There may be the tendencies at times for this to irritate the body, but if it is given it will be found to be helpful. Preferably use the bulb applicator along the spine, if possible - but this must be applied directly to the body itself, to be sure; gently massaging downward and especially across the lumbar area, across the solar plexus centers or area and across the shoulders and the head and neck; but not more than a minute or three-quarters of a minute in the beginning. If the bulb applicator is found to be impractical, then use the rod applicator that is held only in the hand - or may be placed on a glass and the foot put on same, see? and if this is used, alternate - once in the hand, the next time upon the foot and the opposite side of the body; or alternate - right foot, then the left hand; left hand, then just the opposite, you see - on the foot - continuing about the body in this way. However, it is preferable to use the bulb applicator if possible.
18. And as we find the gentle massage occasionally, once a week, or once in two weeks thoroughly given, would be most helpful; but rather the neuropathic massage than chiropractic or even osteopathic - though if it is osteopathically done, it should be done very gently and as a soothing treatment to the body. This will be well.
19. Ready for questions.
20. (Q) Will the treatments as outlined relieve the insomnia? (A) That's the intent and purpose! And keep the mental attitude in a constructive manner; that is, that the purposes of self in its associations with all may be a helpful and a hopeful experience. For as we give out, so may we receive. And let the mercies and the grace and the patience ye would have thy Maker have with thee be that thou metest to thy fellow man.
