This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 3rd day of June, 1925, in accordance with request made by her Mother, Mrs. [1690].

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the further improvement of same, and you will answer the questions regarding this body that I will ask you.

2. EC: Now, we find the physical conditions in this body have undergone changes since last we had it. Some of the conditions, especially those as appertain to the mesenteric digestion and blood supplying system of the body, have become accentuated by the stirring up of the conditions that produce the distresses, without an equilibrium being produced in the system, or without the correct eliminations being established. Hence the unbalanced condition as has been produced in the digestive system, especially in the lower end of the stomach proper.

3. Now, the temperature as has been produced in system comes from the indigestion as is produced in the upper intestinal tract and in the lower portion of stomach, by lack of the secretions being thrown in the system from the liver and from pancreas.

4. The stimulations as were given through the osteopathic forces were very good and assisted the body. The diet as was taken with the manipulations did not coordinate or agree with that as created in system, for we over-crowded the stomach and produced the toxins as show, by the breaking out, or the pimples as formed inside stomach, esophagus and mouth. The system then needs for the present condition as this, for we must create first the equilibrium in the system, then reach that condition. Give three capsules, each containing this: Podophyllin........1/2 grain, Cascara Sagrada....1/2 grain, Licorice Compound..1/2 grain, Dovers Powders.....1/2 grain. These would be taken one each evening until all three are taken. Then give the small broken doses of Castoria, following this. That is, five to ten drops given every

three hours, for at least twenty-four hours. Then the tea of Yellow Saffron, taken as the water. The diet during this time should be very little. That of toasted bread, Graham bread, whole wheat bread, or of such nature.

5. Following after this, which would be from the fourth day, we would then begin with the manipulations, and following with the Beef, Iron and Wine as the stimulus to the system, with small doses of the Codliver Oil, using as the intestinal tract regulator those of the oils that do not purge.

6. Let the diet, then, be of the vegetable forces that will agree with the system, keeping the body out of the sun. Not too much sugars, but be sure we give plenty of water, and let most of the water carry the Saffron Tea and some elm water. We will find we will create the correct equilibrium.

7. Let the osteopathic treatments be given once each week, that we may keep the correct balance in eliminations, stimulating with these, especially the excretory system; that is, the kidneys and the liver. Do that.

8. (Q) Would soda crackers, Zwieback and Graham crackers be detrimental to the body between meals? (A) No, not if these given after the cleansing of the system, as we have outlined.

9. (Q) Should the body eat ice cream? (A) Very good, so its good and pure, and not over quantity of same. Eat it slow.

10. (Q) What should be the doses of the Beef, Iron and Wine? (A) Half the quantity as is shown on the bottle, using Wyeth's.

11. (Q) What should be the dose of Codliver Oil? (A) Half a teaspoonful every day.

12. (Q) Can the body eat eggs for breakfast? (A) Coddled eggs very good. Coddled eggs and small quantities very crisp bacon once in a while.

13. (Q) What cereals can the body eat? (A) Any of those, especially those carrying the whole wheat property: Wheatena, Wheaten, Corn Flakes, Puffed Wheat, any of those. No syrup or molasses of any kind. Not too much meats, but sufficient to give weight to it. Not too much of Irish potatoes. Green vegetables, greens, lentils, turnips, beets; those that agree with the system, and we will find these will change from time to time.
