1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1366].
2. Now, as we find, there are disturbing conditions. The effects are rather unusual, and unless there are corrections we may have an operative force necessary from an upside down stomach.
3. For the spasmodic reactions that come to the cardiac end of the stomach upset not only the circulatory system and the effect of the flow of blood between the heart and liver, but naturally make for a lack of proper digestion or assimilation - and upsetting other portions of the body.
4. In the main, as we find, the body may be said to be in a very good condition, considering the way, the manner these conditions have been brought about.
5. There was in some times back a minor injury (at the time) to the upper dorsal center areas. Then there was later a strain and an activity that increased this. Hence in those portions where there is the impulse received from the nervous system to the activity of the lower portion of the esophagus and the upper portion of the stomach proper, or the cardiac end, we have the contracting convulsively; owing to the conditions that are as impulses arising from these pressures in this area.
6. Then, as we find, there should be sufficient osteopathic treatments for those areas in the upper dorsal and lower cervical area, coordinating the rest of these with the rest of the cerebrospinal system; as to the eliminations from the lumbar and the coordination of the activities through the upper cervical for the activity through the vagus and to the head and neck and forces of the sensory system.
7. We find that there should not be required more than thirteen to fourteen such adjustments osteopathically; twice a week we would give these, as indicated.
8. Thus we find we would make for a better reaction throughout.

9. During the time these are being taken - that is, the manipulative forces - we would find it helpful also to take internally once a day, preferably in the evening, after the meal, a dosage of Milk of Bismuth and Elixir of Lactated Pepsin. To an ounce of Milk of Bismuth add one-quarter ounce of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin. Shake this well, and stir half a teaspoonful of it into half a glass of water and drink it. Do not take this, however, unless the manipulative forces are taken; so that the stomach is made to empty itself, but the activities of these properties upon the system is to absorb and to make for better eliminations from those portions that have been distressed by the greater spasmodic condition that has developed in the portions of the stomach and the esophagus - as well as, naturally, the activities of the pylorus and the lower part of the stomach also.
10. In the matter of the diet do not take too large quantity - or ANY during the periods of treatments here outlined - of highly seasoned foods. Do not take too much of starches. No white breads, no white potatoes, no spaghetti, no macaroni or those characters of foods. If meats are taken, let these consist of rather fish, fowl or lamb, and no fried foods - except occasionally a little crisp breakfast bacon. These are the characters of foods that should be observed during these periods.
11. Do this, and we should find the near to normal forces.
12. Ready for questions.
13. We are through for the present. Copy to Self (two copies; one for Osteopath) " " Ass'n file
