Time of Reading 11:00 to 11:15 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.J. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, or those conditions as are disturbing in the physical forces of same in the present; this we have had before.
2. Conditions are changed considerable from the last we have had here. There have been, as we find, some indiscretions as to activities and diet, and these have allowed after effects of conditions to become the disturbing factors in the present.
3. These then are the conditions as we find them with this body, [1377]:
4. The blood supplies, as well as the nervous system, indicate that where there have been operative measures the effects of scar tissue have arisen, producing lesions; that not only produce pressures upon the nervous systems of the body but cause a great deal of inconvenience and pain, lack of the proper elimination, at times even some little temperature, a great deal of anxiety, a great deal of distress throughout the alimentary canal.
5. As we find, the pressures upon the nervous system affect, as might be said, all the way from the 5th and 6th dorsal to the end of the spine - or these become involved in the condition.
6. There is the inability for appetite at times; there is the poor assimilation. Also there are the inabilities for the body to be entirely erect at times; or there is the drawing, the heaviness in the side - the right, about the appendicial area or caecum area; extending, of course, across those areas where the tendencies for the accumulations of the lymph pockets produce pressures upon the lower hepatic circulation nerves; and these upset the whole of the system.
7. As we find, in making applications in the present:
8. First we would have periods when we would use the hot Castor Oil Packs across the abdomen and especially in the
1377-9 Page 2
right side, extending from the liver area down low over the caecum, and extending over to the ileum plexus area or in the central portion. These should be kept about the body regularly; that is, almost constantly, for nearly two days. They may be changed once or twice during the night, but they should be kept almost constantly - and should be very heavy; three to four thicknesses or layers of the flannel, you see, with as hot Castor Oil as the body can stand same under the conditions. Keep up continually for two days.
9. Then we would have a GENTLE osteopathic adjustment AND a very gentle breaking up of the lesions in the caecum and across the abdominal area. Not hard, though it may be given a little deeper, of course, in the lumbar and throughout the dorsal area, or along the spine, to relax the body.
10. We would find also that small doses of Olive Oil would be well to be taken.
11. After the osteopathic treatments we would rest for a couple of days, then we would repeat the whole procedure again; making the application of the hot Castor Oil Packs every two to three days, followed by the osteopathic adjustments to break up the lesions.
12. Also, as the condition gradually begins to break up, we would find it most beneficial to use the deep therapy or the electrical vibrations; either the reverse coil of the sinusoidal or the low galvanic electrical vibrations from the Wet Cell Appliance. In either case the attachments would be the same; that is; one plate over the area from which the liver receives its activity in the cerebrospinal system, or the 2nd and 3rd dorsal center; the other plate over the area about the gall duct to empty same. These applications as we find should not be given too heavy, but a gentle application; and then to empty the gall duct osteopathically would be most beneficial.
13. Use enemas for the eliminations, rather than too much of laxatives or those properties that make for a great amount of irritation. The enemas should be with water body-temperature, and with equal portions of salt and soda in same; or a teaspoonful of baking soda and a teaspoonful of table salt to each quart and a half of water would be the right proportions for this body. Follow same, after rinsing the bag, with another antiseptic solution for the intestines that will aid in reducing temperature or the inclination for same in the areas where the inflammation has arisen. For such an antiseptic solution use a tablespoonful of Glyco-Thymoline to a quart of water, body-temperature.
14. Do these, and after the fourth or fifth period or round, unless there is a great deal of help, we would give further
1377-9 Page 3
instructions.
15. Ready for questions.
16. (Q) What is the condition of my heart? (A) This is only a sympathetic condition, as we find, produced from high nervous tension and the general disturbance in the circulatory system.
17. (Q) What causes the terrible buzzing in my left ear. Does it mean deafness? (A) Not necessarily. This should disappear materially as conditions through the body clear, if there is the removal of the pressures upon the sympathetic nervous system - and if there is the stimulation of the circulation during the periods when the manipulations are given to the vagus center and to the head and neck.
18. (Q) What causes a pain which starts low in my spine and goes like a streak of lightning up the spine and ends at the base of the brain? Seems like a cramp in a nerve. It is not continuous. May occur a number of days apart. (A) The pressure, as has been indicated, on most of the nervous system by accumulations from pressures upon the organs of the system and the nerve ganglia of the body, from accumulations in those areas where the activities of scar tissue have produced same. In the diet, keep away from red meats and too much starches; though bread is very good if it is of the rye and whole wheat variety, rather than the white or too much of the rough bread that HAS been taken at times.
19. (Q) Has my appendix been removed? (The surgeon claimed to have removed it eight years ago, but it seems to have a great soreness in that location.) (A) It has been removed.
20. (Q) Is there any condition that will require an operation? (I hope not as I have no money to pay for it.) (A) This depends upon the abilities and how closely these are followed to reduce the tissue, or else with a great deal of inflammation it may require those operative measures for the removal of scar tissue. However, it would be much better to remove same by those methods that have been indicated by the use of the Castor Oil Packs, HEAVY, taken continually for most two days; then having the manipulative measures afterwards; then rest a period; then take them again. And if the manipulations are done properly (and Browne [Cornelia J. Browne, D.C., N.D.] may do it), we may find these will take away the disturbance.
21. (Q) Is it this condition that causes the enlargement in
1377-9 Page 4
my abdomen? (A) It is this condition that causes the enlargement in the abdomen.
22. (Q) Any further advice? (A) Do these consistently and persistently, and we will find help. If help is not found, after the fifth or sixth successive period of these manipulations and packs, we would give further instructions.
