TEXT OF READING 1379-1 F 46 (Housewife, Hebrew)

This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 2nd day of June, 1937, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [1379], new Associate Sponsored Member of the Ass''n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by: Dr. Saul B. Sells, Dr. Gardner Murphy and Dr. Lucien H. Warner, of the Department of Psychology, Columbia University, New York City. The verification of appointment was received this morning at 9:35, with membership application and written request from Mrs. [1379].

Time of Reading 10:50 to 11:05 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [1379], here.

2. Now, as we find, while the conditions - or the effects - are rather specific, the causes are of a compound nature; to say nothing of those activities or precautions that should have been taken sometime ago.

3. But we will give that as we find that may be helpful, or constructive in the experience of the entity (and body) in the present, and to meet in so far as is possible the present conditions, that the continuity of life or the expression of same may have the greater opportunity for the manifesting of constructive or creative forces in its experience; and to thus fulfillmore and more those purposes for which the entity enters a material experience.

4. As we find, then, there have been the conditions that have allowed a hindrance in the circulatory forces of the body; thus producing a center of infectious forces that affect the lymph circulation as related to the extremities, and the locomotory forces or centers of the body.

5. These in part arise from pressures of specific nature that exist in the cerebrospinal system as related to the central or cerebrospinal nerve system and the coordination of the vegetative or sympathetic nervous system.

6. Thus the muscular and tendon contraction which has been and is a part of the effect.

7. The source of the infection arises from a pressure first in the lumbar and lower dorsal centers, and affecting the lower portion of hepatic circulation as combined with the activity of the liver, the pancreas, with an inclination towards an excess activity through the pancreas and spleen that produces this combination of disturbances.

8. To be sure, the effect upon portion of the sensory forces is at times more acute than others, but as we find - with the correction of the lesions and pressures in the cerebrospinal system, and a setting up or a creating of the correct vibratory forces as related to the glandular system's effect upon the organs of secretion and eliminations, and the disturbing elements in the circulatory forces brought to near that of creating a constructive force - we may bring help and relief to the body; and overcome those conditions that have caused and do cause such disturbance or distress in the body. Also we will gradually make for a correction in the locomotories and the extremities where contraction and hardening and the conditions in the system have been indicated.

9. This will require persistence, it will require precautions as to the diet and as to the effects of same.

10. FIRST:

11. We would have corrections created or made, OSTEOPATHICALLY, in the cerebrospinal system; especially in the lumbar and in the lower dorsal centers. Naturally there must be with the manipulations the coordination of the ganglia about the system to the released areas; coordinating the upper dorsal and throughout the cervical with, to be sure, the solar plexus and lumbar axis centers. Such treatments or manipulations should be made at least twice or three times each week, and should be continued until corrections are made.

12. Also we would make applications each day for thirty to forty minutes (not longer than forty minutes) of the low electrical vibratory forces of the Wet Cell Appliance carrying elements in the system in the vibratory state, so as to aid the activities of the system in relation to the releasing of the circulation from those centers where pressures have been indicated. Such elements would be carried into the system alternately; one day the Chloride of Gold, the next day the Atomidine - preferably in the evening. But the solutions should be changed every twenty-eight days, as well as the charge for the electrical appliance. Do not leave the attachments in the solution when not in use, but make the connections and put into the solution at least twenty minutes before the Appliance is attached to the body. The attachments would be made in these manners:

13. The first day, the smaller plate would be attached first, to the 9th dorsal; while the larger plate - through which the Chloride of Gold Solution passes (in the proportion of two grains to one ounce of distilled water,

but use about six ounces of the Solution) - would be attached last, to the lacteal duct and umbilicus center.

14. The next day, the smaller plate would be attached first, to the 4th lumbar center; while the larger plate - through which the commercial strength Atomidine Solution passes - would be attached last, to the umbilicus and lacteal duct center, or over the same area as the day before. This would cover portions of the gall duct and lacteal duct centers, that made for the greater activity with the assimilation.

15. Keep alternating the attachments in these manners, one day the Gold, the next day the Atomidine.

16. After such electrical vibrations each evening it would be well to massage gently over the limbs and affected portions of the structural body with oils; that is, an equal combination of Olive Oil, Tincture of Myrrh, and Compound Tincture of Benzoin. Shake these together and massage only sufficient that the body absorbs.

17. The diets have been very well outlined for the body - these we would adhere to.

18. Do these, and in sixty to ninety days we would give further instructions.

19. Ready for questions.

20. We are through for the present. Copy to Dr. Saul B. Sells " " Ass'n file " " Sponsor - Theo B. Dobbins [wife of Dr. Frank P.
