1. EC: Yes, we have the body and those conditions about the body, [1386].

2. Now as we find, while the disturbing conditions are not so serious in the present, unless there are some changes - and unless the cause is eliminated - we may have or produce a prolonged disturbance or bring about one that would make a very detrimental contribution in the experiences of the body in the present.

3. These as we find have to do with the circulation, and with the organs of the system that affect same, as the affectation being produced upon the heart's activity.

4. Then, these are conditions as we find them with this body, [1386]:

5. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, there are those indications of hindrances in proper elimination, so as to affect the manner in which the blood is purified. Not by the oxygen of the respiratory system but by the manner in which, through the activity of the hepatic circulation, poisons are taken from same.

6. This effect has disturbed and does disturb the metabolism; and it will be found that the blood pressure is abnormal. This affectation comes and goes, and at some times would show a great deal more than at others.

7. IN THE NERVOUS SYSTEM, here we find some of the causes, as well as the effects produced. The effects are from the engorgement in the colon, as in the transverse and a portion of the descending.

8. Hence that fullness at times that is felt in the left portion of the abdomen and at times extending across the whole of the upper abdominal area.

9. IN THE ORGANS THEMSELVES OF THE BODY, as we find, the disturbances of the plethora and the pressure in the colon area affect the organs in these manners:

10. There are times, not always, when there is an excess

1386-1 Page 2

activity of the kidneys; but usually at the excess periods when eliminations through the bladder are small and often, with some irritation.

11. There are those periods when the eliminations through the alimentary canal show a disturbing condition.

12. These necessitate that there be the use of eliminants, or things that will make for an activity. Because there is at times apparently a natural or normal activity from the alimentary canal does not indicate that all of the drosses as should are being eliminated. The pressures here also affect the circulation as related to the heart's activity.

13. Hence to treat such conditions by giving that which would be stimulating or to act upon the heart might produce a constitutional disturbance and make the latter condition much worse than that which exists in the present.

14. Also these pressures produce, through the poisons, after periods when the body rests for a long time, the going to sleep of portions of the body; also the flights of fancy at times, as of visions, dreams or nightmares that come from the smothery spells that occur at times in such experiences.

15. This is from the changing of the circulatory forces in the body.

16. At times there is a little indigestion or dyspepsia, necessitating the using of foods or things that make for easy digestion. The overtaxing then through any alcoholic drinks causes an early dizziness, or an excess of the sympathetic reactions; blurriness for the eyes at times, and those activities upon the sensory system which are the effects or results of these disturbances which - as we find, if taken in time and the proper applications made as to coordinate one portion with another - may be eliminated or eradicated from the system; thus saving the body from a great deal of disturbance later on, or constitutional conditions that may become detrimental forces in the activities of the body of [1386].

17. AS WE FIND, THEN:

18. First we would begin with regular periods in which hydrotherapy treatments are given; that is:

19. At least once each week we would have a thorough massage and rubdown or workout under a little heat; not too much of the cabinet baths but rather the fume baths would be the more preferable.

20. Also during such periods we would have some corrections or adjustments made along the lower portion of the dorsal and throughout the lumbar area, and especially upon the lumbar axis and extending to the feet and the lower limbs, and to the whole of the torso. Naturally, in making the

1386-1 Page 3

adjustments or in giving such treatments, we would coordinate the upper cervical and upper dorsal with the lumbar and lower dorsal applications or treatments. Coordinate, along with the thorough rubdown and adjustments, the dorsal and cervical and the feet and lower limbs, especially to remove the pressure that has been indicated; coordinate same with the adjustments made in the lumbar and lower dorsal, you see. This will set up a better equilibrium and make for much better conditions. These treatments we would give once each week also, at the period when the hydrotherapy treatment is given - the fume bath, rubdown, etc.

21. With such periods of hydrotherapy treatments, we would also have - once a month or oftener, until the condition is entirely eliminated - high enemas that will eliminate the poisons from the system.

22. In the matter of the diet: Beware of highly seasoned foods and of excesses of beer, especially. Strong drink for the body or wines are preferable to beer. Even strong drink occasionally is preferable to the beer; for the products of the hop are, for this particular body, as we find, most detrimental. Red wine as a food is helpful.

23. Do not have red meats, either; that is, those that are rare or that have a great deal of fat. Use rather lamb, fish or fowl than other characters of meats.

24. For periods we would not have too much of shell fish nor the products of same; though fish - as the Gefillte Fish - or that which is broiled or the like - is good.

25. Do these. Be persistent and consistent and we will remove the disturbance.

26. The activities of the body, then, would be in line with those treatments as indicated.

27. Ready for questions.

28. (Q) Should the corrections be made osteopathically? (A) These may be done correctly during the hydrotherapy treatments, IF done by a GOOD hydrotherapist or masseur. Adjustments in the lumbar axis, you see; and at least once a month - or oftener until there is the cleansing - the high enemas or the colonic irrigations.

29. (Q) What should be used in the solution for the colonic irrigations? (A) These solutions vary according to the type of hydrotherapist. As we find, it would be better here to use a saline with an antiseptic afterward.
