Time of Reading 11:45 to 12:10 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions she submits, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1387].
3. Now as we find, disturbing conditions may be indicated rather as those of which the body should be warned. And the corrections may be easily made in the present, yet there are such disturbances that if they are allowed to run they may become harder to deal with. For they are affecting many portions of the nerve and circulatory system, yet they are also becoming somewhat constitutional for the glandular system; especially the relationship to the creating of more or proper elements in the blood cellular force is becoming involved.
4. The description of the disturbances as we see them, or find them here, may appear to be as of a great disturbance; yet these will respond if there is the correct application for the replenishing or attuning of the body to what may be termed GOOD resistance or good health rather than the dis-ease which is gradually arising (not disease, but dis-ease).
5. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [1387] we are speaking of, present in this room:
6. In the blood supply we find there is a deficiency in the hormones that supply the red blood cellular force, and this is also (owing to the very nature of the disturbance) drawing upon the white blood and the leucocyte of the system. These, as will be seen, are a portion of that indicated as being a glandular disturbance, caused by conditions that exist.
7. We find in the nervous systems the greater cause of the disturbance. Hence as a part of the disturbance is the form or character of headaches that vary with the body according
1387-2 Page 2
to the manner, the nature or the cycle of the disturbance.
8. But there are definite subluxations that exist in the areas from the 3rd and 4th dorsal to the 2nd, and even to the 1st cervical. Through this area we have the effect as may be produced through the soft tissue of the face. Of course, the whole of the sensory system is also involved, but some of the greater disturbance arises from the lack of the drainages from the frontal as well as the deeper antrum. Thus these produce, in conjunction with the disturbance, an inclination for inflammatory forces to be exercised in these portions of the system.
9. Either these will arise from some little cold or congestion, or the tendencies from the very nature or the sources, as with a reflex action it has upon the digestive system, for a superacidity. Thus the swelling that occurs, as well as the pain, as with the varying character of the headaches.
10. These may be either through the eyes, the temple, or from just between the eyes and on the forehead, and at the top of the head at times - which is felt more through the jaw or portions of the face itself.
11. These naturally, of course, produce poisons that are to be eliminated through the circulatory system. As it has called upon the circulation through the portions as indicated, it has produced and does produce the taking of energies from the system, causing the inability to make for impulses to the imaginative forces and the cerebrospinal to coordinate - thus interrupting or disturbing the body in its activity.
12. Also these reflexes, naturally calling upon the blood system, affect the nervous force as related to the glandular system in the DIGESTIVE areas. And through same reflexly to the organs of the pelvis, the Periods at times become disturbing to the body, through more of the condition produced as an overexpectancy or dread, or the exercising of the desire to withdraw from any environ or surrounding and to go off to self.
13. All of these become active upon the whole physical forces of the body, as well as the returning energies to the sympathetic nervous system.
14. In the activities upon the organs of the body - as indicated, brain forces and reflexes are very good. The activities to the sympathetic system are under strain from definite subluxations that exist in the area indicated, as well as the upsetting of the assimilating system and those tendencies for the excess of poisons and accumulations that arise from inflammatory forces.
1387-2 Page 3
15. The organs of the sensory system all become involved, - as the eyes, first one then the other, may cause a different character of pain through same, and the interrupted activity in the vision; though ORGANICALLY we find little of disturbance in the present save a sympathetic reaction as has been indicated.
16. The conditions through the face or the antrums or the soft tissues in the face and head are from the lack of drainages being set up, and easily poisons have accumulated, - and such must be taken into consideration in giving the administrations for the removal of same and the assisting towards normalcy through any of the activity of the body.
17. Those conditions in the throat at times come more from the tendency for the secretions to cause a disturbance or irritation to the sympathetic or superficial circulation through portions of same, and not an infection as yet; though it might become so under stress or strain.
18. The activities through the heart, the lungs, the liver, - all of these show the sympathetic reaction. Hence we have at times an irregular pulse. Woe it be unto the body if it were to go through a clinical laboratory tabulation at this present time! So keep away from that - but apply these things as may be indicated for the better assimilations.
19. In the digestive system, as we have indicated, there are disturbances through the very activity of those portions of the body from which the impulses are received for the creating of cellular force in the blood supply.
20. Hence we have found at times, through portions of the lung or rib area, the feeling of sharp or acute pains; sometimes very little, at other times they last only a second or so, but they are the indications of how the very structural portions are even at times being drawn upon. Hence all the more necessity for the conditions to be corrected, that there may be no further drainage upon the vital forces of the bodily functions themselves.
21. The activity of the spleen with the pancreas is very good. The activity of the upper hepatic with the lower hepatic circulation gives disturbance at times, and the body becomes aware of there being a portion of the abdomen and even portions of the alimentary canal that become under the awareness of a disturbance.
22. Through the activities of the glandular forces these are the more dangerous, but - as we have indicated - will respond if there will first be the correction of those pressures that exist, with the added stimulation to the circulatory forces as related to all the vital energies, and the necessary foods in vitamins as well as elements that go
1387-2 Page 4
to make up body, blood and resistance building.
23. First then, as we find - under the supervision of such as Dobbins, we would have those corrections made ESPECIALLY in the areas from the 4th and 5th and 6th dorsal to the base of the brain itself. These as we find would be more effective if they were taken in short series of treatments. Take about four or five - five treatments in the first series. Rest for two or three weeks from such treatments, then have another series of five or six at that time. Then rest about a month or five weeks, and then have another series. For the body will respond immediately to these, but the necessary reactions from this stimulation for this body will be more effective if they are spaced with reactions to the bodily forces between such adjustments.
24. Begin almost immediately with taking the compound known as Codiron, as a tonic. For this body, this would be taken one tablet with each meal eaten, for the first two weeks. If you don't eat, don't take it! but take it with the meal, - even if it is masticated with the food it is very well, or if preferable it may be swallowed whole during the meal.
25. Preferably take it for THREE weeks in this manner, then leave off at the morning meal and take only with the evening meal, but TWO tablets with the evening meal. And keep this up for the WHOLE periods that are necessary for the adjustments.
26. And with these we will find we will bring near to normal forces for this body.
27. In the matter of the diets - these have been very well balanced - but occasionally, especially in the early fall, include all characters of artichoke. Through the summer periods include a great deal of gumbo, or okra - also plenty of raw vegetables. Let one meal each day consist principally of raw fresh vegetables - not that this should consist entirely of such, but the principal portion of same. These will tend to aid in purifying as well as creating, through the activity of the assimilating forces, the vital energies to resist the tendency or inclination for inflammatory forces through the system - especially if the subluxations are removed in the osteopathic manner as we have indicated.
28. Ready for questions.
29. (Q) Have headaches any connection with psychic development? (A) Rather is it the effect of the OPENING centers that are disturbed. Leave off psychic development, or the attempt to RAISE the vital forces, until there has been more of a purifying of the blood stream.
30. (Q) Is present light weight any danger to health?
1387-2 Page 5
(A) Do as has been indicated and let's get the NORMAL weight! This would be the better way to put it. Let's have NORMAL weight for the body, and we will have better resistances. The light weight is the indication of those very things as we have indicated that are disturbing, or the disturbed conditions in body.
31. (Q) Is milk necessary? If so, how much daily? (A) Unless this is the desire of the body, not NECESSARILY necessary. The combinations of milk, for this body, as we find would be preferable to raw or pasteurized milk - that is, dry milk or its equivalent.
32. (Q) Is periodic pain in left breast from any other cause than glandular? (A) This as we have indicated is a part of the whole disturbance as related to the eliminations at Periods, through the strain upon the glandular FORCES as related to the circulation - rather than that of disturbance in the mammary glands themselves.
33. (Q) Do fits of depression come from physical or psychic causes? (A) Physical, as has been indicated.
34. (Q) Is kidney condition cleared up? (A) Not wholly, but with the suggestions carried forward as we have indicated here, and the vital forces stimulated in the manner outlined, it should. Do these things as we have indicated and we will bring better forces for this body. Normalcy should be maintained or gained within eight to ten weeks, with following these suggestions IN THE MANNER INDICATED.
35. (Q) Any further advice? (A) Keep those attitudes of constructive forces. Surround the body with Creative Energies - not merely by imaginative but imaginative AND activative forces.
36. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (6/12/39 GD's note: See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for Dr. Frank Dobbins, 551 Fifth Avenue, New York City. These are to be left with him after he has gone over your entire Reading. Codiron is manufactured by The Lawrence Laboratories, Chicago, Ill. It may be obtained at Meredith's Drug Co., 17th St., Virginia Beach, Va. It comes in tablet form, $1 a bottle of 60 tablets, $3 a bottle of 250 tablets.)
