1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1392].
2. Now as we find, the disturbing conditions arise from a prenatal effect - or the manner in which there were activities previous to its entire separation and its activity.
3. Hence while it will require a long, persistent application, this glandular condition (for that as we find is the disturbance) may be entirely eradicated; though it will require patience and persistence on the part of those making the application for such corrections.
4. And there will be necessarily good periods and bad periods; for it is a growth that must be corrected, and a condition where insufficient of certain elements and activities are in action in the system; that is, the deficiencies grow in different forms unless there is first a retardment and then correction and then the growth in the proper directions.
5. Thus we will have good and bad days, good and bad periods; but these may be eliminated.
6. These then are the conditions as we find them with this body, [1392] we are speaking of (it is in the developing years):
7. In the blood supply there are indications of inflammation or temperature owing to the improper coordination between the cerebrospinal impulses nervously and the circulation and the superficial.
8. Hence those periods of languidness, those periods of the retardments by congestion.
9. To make for (as has been applied) only conditions that cause in the system excesses of elements is not changing them, unless changes are wrought by those portions that are deficient in activity or excessive in relationship to others from some portions of the system.
10. These as we find then arise primarily from pressures; in

the lumbar, the coccyx; in the caecum and in the lacteal areas; and their reflexes act upon both the central (or cerebrospinal) and the superficial circulation.
11. Then as we find, the first portion of the applications will necessarily be to change the condition from the pressures that are indicated in the lumbar and in the lower dorsal areas, as well as to coordinate those in the upper cervical and through the upper dorsal areas.
12. These as we find may be accomplished the better by consistent and specific osteopathic adjustments and removal of pressures in the areas that have been indicated.
13. As we find, especially through the next three or four months, these should be given at least twice to three times a week in periods of three weeks, with a rest period of a week between each of these series.
14. After these periods then we would give further instructions.
15. Also each evening we would massage the body with Castor Oil. Not Olive Oil, though it may be thinned a little with the Olive Oil. This is not always pleasant, but massage all the body will absorb into the lacteal duct, the caecum, and in the lumbar and lower limb areas - each evening when the body is ready to retire. Let this massage extend over the abdominal area, the liver, across the solar plexus area or the diaphragm and solar plexus or the caecum, the lower limbs. Such massage treatments would also be given in series. Give them for periods of two weeks, leave off for a period of ten days, then give for two weeks again, and so on.
16. After each massage with the Oil it would be well to sponge off the body with soda water, but a very weak solution - else we will find there will be a disturbance in the superficial circulation, or a changing of the epidermis activity and epidermis circulation, by peeling. Hence the proportions would be a teaspoonful of soda to a gallon of water - warm water. This to be used to sponge off the body, as indicated, after the Oil massage is given.
17. In the matter of the diet, keep rather a well-balanced diet; that is, let the food values be eighty percent alkaline to twenty percent acid-producing for the system. Do not give white breads or too much starches; as corn or beans, nor too much of raw milk - though dry milk or Dryco or malted milk may be used, those brands that are desiccated or that are particularly body, blood and nerve building as to the activity of vitamins added to same. These as we find are the preferable for the body. Fruits and nuts - these in moderation.

18. If we will keep these, we will bring the better forces for this body; to be sure, gradually, but permanently.
19. Ready for questions.
20. (Q) What is causing this body to run a temperature? (A) As has been indicated, it is an inactivity of some glandular forces in the digestive system and in the coordination between the superficial and the deeper circulation - a glandular disturbance.
21. (Q) Any special foods to beware of? (A) As has been indicated, starches in excess, those things that would produce acidity. Or, as indicated, keep a well-balanced diet; that is, eighty percent alkalin to twenty percent acid-producing.
