Time of Reading 3:20 to 3:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Michigan. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes.

2. While they are not keeping this [this appointment time] as has been indicated should, we have those anxieties about same; and these we find as disturbing forces in the physical functioning of the body:

3. Owing to pressures that have existed, especially in the coccyx, the lower sacral and lumbar (the dorsal a reflex action), we have a retardment to the activity of the glandular systems of the body.

4. Thus those reactions through the pituitary and the adrenals; and naturally with these in the disturbance, the thyroid has at times been in excess and at others very much lower.

5. At times when in excess, the conditions in the cuticle, in the epidermis, and the variations as to these, also the development of the organs of genitation, all make for the indication in the variation of these activities.

6. These then make for reactions to the imaginative or the sensory forces of the body, in its abilities to respond to things of the sensory nature; and makes the body at times very extravagant in its activities, in its abilities to coordinate.

7. As we find, help may be brought for these conditions and to this body, but it will require a consistent and a persistent application for the body.

8. For these, while they are in the nature of physical, have affected the mental and imaginative; so that the help must naturally be a growth, and by suggestion to the body in its associations.

9. Thus there will be required attention in those directions, as well as a proper and a sympathetic application of those things as to adjustments and correction for the bodily functions.

10. As we would find, then, first - we would begin:

11. For a ten day period we would take one minim of Atomidine in half a glass of water before the morning meal. Then leave off for a period of about five days, and then take again one minim each morning for ten days, and then:

12. After the next rest period of three to four to five days (leaving off the Atomidine, not taking the Atomidine during the period of this first series of manipulative treatments):

13. We would begin with osteopathic manipulation, and with the special alleviating of the closeness of the segments in the coccyx, in the sacral and through the lumbar area; coordinating, to be sure, the dorsal and the cervical with same; gently, not too severely - but these as we find will require long periods.

14. These adjustments or treatments osteopathically we would have twice a week for the first period of two or two and a half months.

15. Then we would have a rest period of two to three weeks from such osteopathic manipulations.

16. During that rest period we would take not only the one minim of the Atomidine each morning as indicated, but:

17. We would use the low Wet Cell Appliance carrying Chloride of Gold, the vibrations of same passing through the system in relationships to the glandular forces of the whole body; that is, the attachments would be made as follows:

18. The small plate or anode would be attached first, to the coccyx center (that's close to the end of the spine); while the larger plate - through which the Gold Solution passes - would be attached last, to the umbilicus and lacteal duct center - for thirty minutes each day.

19. After the three weeks of rest from the osteopathic manipulations, begin again with the manipulations twice a week - for another period of two to two and a half months.

20. During THIS period of two to two and a half months, keep the application of the low electrical vibrations, alternating the attachments - after the treatments osteopathically begin again, you see - the first anode or copper plate being applied one day to the coccyx center, the next day to the lumbar center, the next day to the 9th dorsal center; but in each case the larger plate being attached to the umbilicus and lacteal duct center.

21. During this whole period there should be such companionship with the body that requires of same a regular routine of activity. Mornings the exercise in the open, and periods of study and periods of recreation should be kept up during the whole time the manipulations are given.

22. Then after the second series of two and a half months, we would give further instructions.

23. Ready for questions.

24. (Q) Has very poor appetite - why? and what should be done to improve it? (A) This will improve; and add, under the direction of physician - when these treatments begin - a little of thyroid extract.

25. (Q) Physicians say there is a defect in brain or head. (A) Rather, as we find indicated, it is in the glandular system; from pressures is the coccyx and lumbar centers. A breach presentation.

26. (Q) Doctors say he is five years below normal mentally. What suggestions to mother for assisting this body? (A) As we have indicated, companionship, treatments, and the conditions as indicated - for at least five to six months, when other instructions would be given.

27. (Q) Any other advice to those surrounding him? (A) Do as has been indicated. There should be, to be sure, sympathetic companionship; positive, yet making and keeping routine - though in such a way and manner as not to make for angering the body.
