Time of Reading 5:40 to 6:15 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.
1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [1402], present in this room, who seeks information, advice and guidance as to her mental and material affairs and associations. You will consider that given in her Life Reading through this channel during the past summer, and answer the questions she submits, as I ask them.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [1402].
3. First, as we would give, the body should take some precautions regarding the physical conditions of the body.
4. As we find, as is indicated, there is the need for a revitalizing or reionizing of the energies of the body as associated with the circulatory forces in relationships to the nerves and blood supply, especially.
5. There are the applications that may be made by the friend, then, whose activities are associated with the etheronic energies; not only the etheronic energies of the electrical forces and their activities through the static and those activities that apply to the body direct, but the mechanical adjustments along portions of the cerebrospinal system as related to the better coordination in the lumbar axis - better especially in the present in the 3rd and 4th dorsal for the reflexes to the secondary cardiac plexus; and the stimulation of the vagus center for the circulation through the throat and the head, the upper portion of the lung and the lung development - or the pleura itself.
6. These precautionary measures taken in the present may not only overcome this tiredness, these spent energies in the functioning of the nerve forces, but prevent reactions from same that might cause or produce disturbing forces harder to be dealt with.
7. From associations in the information that we have given the entity, we find there are many problems - that deal with activities with others, as well as the closer associations with the friend, [1397].
1402-2 Page 2
8. These are in keeping with that which has prompted, or BEEN prompted by friendships and associations through activities in experiences in the earth's plane.
9. The closer associations are indicated from the Persian activities, where one was dependent upon the other for creating or making the associations about self that produced a better understanding.
10. And the bond of sympathy which prompts the activity in the present, as we find, is reflected from such associations.
11. In relationships to others, ready for questions.
12. (Q) Please tell me the outcome of the Texas situation and the effect it will have on the lives of Dr. [1397] and myself. (A) This is a problem that is produced or caused by the MENTAL activities of others. As to prognostications, the Lord Himself may not tell what one may think or do about a situation. That conditions have arisen wherein there are advantages being taken of self and Dr. [1397] in the present would indicated that there is to be left out the consideration that is paramount to the well-being in some directions of each. Yet as we find, there has been set in motion, through the activities - though they were disappointing to Dr. [1397] at the time - those things that will bring the much more satisfactory conditions than is anticipated in the present. From the entity's own activities, these may be considered from the numbers as related to the activities of the lands and the activities when they were begun there, see? These are numbers - these ye will see.
13. (Q) How should we deal with a branch of the Texas matter known as the Olson Estate? (A) This is a little different, in the whole conditions. However, this also stands in jeopardy. But as we find, if those intentions are carried on in the manner as has been OUTLINED, a more satisfactory condition may be expected.
14. (Q) A legal situation seems to require that we make a trip to Texas in the early part of the year. Can this be avoided, and how? (A) Only by trusting to the power of attorney in someone there who may handle the situation. But as we find, one or the other, or both, may eventually have to go; to protect that already invested, that already expected.

15. (Q) What was my former relationship, if any, with [...] now called Dr. [..] born July 12, 1888 at Toledo, Ohio at 12:01 A.M.? [See 1397-1, Par. 72-A on 7/4/37.] (A) The conflicts that arise in the present, as we find, appear from a more recent activity in the material plane. And while there are what may be called karmic conditions to be worked out, do not let these disturb thee - if or when ye abide by those influences that ye set as thine ideals. The relationships were those that brought disturbing forces to the activities of each; contestants, as it were, one with another. These then may only be met in the manners as He gave, "If thy brother offend thee and smite thee on the right cheek, turn the other also." This under the circumstances becomes galling to many. But know that only in the same attitude, the same manner in which He met such rebuffs, such activities, may ye in thy satisfying, in thy bringing peace and harmony, find same in thine experience and thy relationships.
16. (Q) What can I do to overcome my anger at her treatment of my friend and her benefactor, [1397]? (A) Just as has been indicated. These conditions to be sure become such wherein the individual of self, the individual of thy neighbor as thyself, thy friend as thyself would be considered. These must not be taken other than in the manner as just indicated - if peace and harmony would be brought about. For remember, He is right in that given, "The soft answer turneth away wrath," and in that a gentleness, a kindness meted to those that have been and are in error but heapeth coals upon the mind, the heart, of those who have erred. Then only in LOVING indifference may the conditions be met. What, ye say, is loving indifference? Acting as if it had not been, save disregarding as if they were NOT. Not animosity; for this only breeds strife. Not anger; for this only will produce mentally and physically the disturbances that become as physical reactions that prevent meeting every phase of the experience; whether in the good,

the hope, the help ye mete to others, or in keeping self - as has been given for self - unspotted from the CARES of the world. [See 1397-2, Par. 32-A, 33-A, on 11/27/37.]
17. (Q) Is there likely to be an illness in the state of my immediate associations in the near future? If so, what precautions should I take to prevent same - especially for my friend [1397]? (A) Rather, as has been indicated, it is in SELF that the precautions must be taken. And those that may be administered BY the friend, [1397], may prevent same. Thus such brings to the friend that as is ever true - as ye give help and hope to others, ye build same within self. For Truth is ever as the two-edged sword; it cuts but as it cuts, as it heals, as it makes for the dividing, it brings that which will cleave the closer in the union of strength for the meeting of the problems in the experience day by day.
18. (Q) Is the contact good that we have made with James B. Schafer, known as a teacher of Truth, and should we accept his teachings as correct and constructive in our case? (A) Teachings ever that are helpful or constructive are those that answer to that within one's OWN self, and are not as a light or as a lead, or as that in which ye believe without knowing in WHOM ye believe. To believe in Schafer is error. To believe in that which he teaches that may react upon THEE, if it answers to that within that needs same, is correct to accept. But not as a personality; nay, not as an individuality, but as that which answers to the needs - not for the moment alone but that is CONSTRUCTIVE in the spiritual, the mental, and thus BRINGS material manifestations in keeping with the desires of the inner self.
19. (Q) Where can I get the Persian astrology books referred to in my Life Reading? (A) These records as we find have been presented in one form or another. Those activities, as we find, have been published by Henry Holt, England.
20. (Q) May I have more detail regarding my Persian association with [1397]? (A) As given in the activities of each in the Persian influences, we find both gained, both lost, both gained in same.

That the associations brought in the experiences of each as one dependent upon the other, as has been indicated, made for those developments for the gaining in the latter portion of the experiences there. As to just what EACH may have lived in the experience - well, these records would have to be opened again.
21. (Q) Have we made the right move where we now are, to work constructively? (A) Use that thou hast in hand - this may be well applied to the activities of the self here in the present environs and surroundings. And as ye use that in the associations you have for constructive experience, and bringing into the lives and associations those activities, ye will find this offers greater opportunities for self, for friend - here. Let that as has been ever given be thy watchword here: Keep the purposes, the desires of the heart and mind, in the associations with the opportunities presented, towards a constructive experience; not for self-glory, self-aggrandizement - self-indulgence, but that which IS the ideal of the spiritual self, in its hopes for eternal activities, be the guiding influence. And these kept, these set, will be as thy numbers are.
