Time of Reading 11:00 to 11:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Body and enquiring mind, in the office of [257], ... Ave., N.Y.C., who seeks information, advice and guidance to his health, his mental and material affairs. You will give him the physical advice he needs, answering the questions he has submitted, as I ask them)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [1414].
2. Now as we find, in the physical forces of the body there are those conditions that unless corrected may bring about disturbances that may be hard to alleviate.
3. These as we find arise from a pressure that exists in the lumbar and sacral area, thus producing a nervous reaction in the nervous forces of the body; producing restlessness, insomnia, and the tendency in the mental reaction for the body to become easily angry at least disturbing the condition or disputation that arises; or makes the body at other times feel so dilatory in activity as to prevent the body in the physical reactions from accomplishing that as may be done in the physical conditions.
4. And then these causing the lack of accomplishment in the mental reaction produces the excuses the body makes for self - "Just didn't feel well."
5. These then, unless corrected, will gradually prove to be those things that - making pressures upon the organs of the pelvis, disturbing the digestion - will become first the inclinations and then unless corrected - or if some corrections are made, even, without the proper or the basic disturbance removed - become constitutional weaknesses in the system.
6. Then as we find these should first be relieved. These as we find may be done the better OSTEOPATHICALLY; with exercises following baths, rubdowns that will produce the better coordination between the deeper and the superficial circulation.
7. It should not require more than three to four weeks of osteopathic treatments, twice a week; though it may require some period of six to eight months of occasionally having

the thorough rubdown or HYDROTHERAPY treatments.
8. These we find are the corrective measures and those conditions necessary for this body in the physical forces.
9. Then in the mental attitudes; here we find much may be accomplished by the body if there is the constructive activity or the desire to make self do those things that have been and are at times unpleasant in the experience; to go out of the way to be nice to those that even have been contemptible to the body. These are the abilities to build so as to become more and more constructive.
10. Do not find FAULT with self, nor, most of all, with others! Know that faults arise from disturbances within the own self.
11. Do not become one that pities self, or that makes for the constant seeking of the easy way or the short cut, but rather applying self in the directions as given we may bring physically, mentally, yes materially, better conditions for the body.
12. Ready for questions.
13. (Q) What can I do to regain the pep and enthusiasm which I need to be successful with [257] in the ... Furniture line in N.Y. (A) First have the physical conditions corrected, and get out of the attitude of trying to hedge or stall or trying to make for the easy way or the short cuts.
14. (Q) What can I do to increase the business to make the returns great enough to justify four men being part of the organization? (A) Work, work, WORK! Be a genial individual, one seeking ways to be of help, seeking ways to be of a constructive experience in the associations of individuals whom the body has sought out, may seek out for the activities in these directions! This is the way to make an alert, a worth while activity. The associations are very good, but the self has allowed self to rather REST. It isn't REST that is needed, it is ACTIVITY! To be sure, first have corrections made in the physical forces, so that there may be the lack of this restlessness, this tendency to make for discouraging remarks, this tendency to become pessimistic. Be OPTIMISTIC, in self - but necessarily begin with the physical forces.
15. (Q) What type of accounts are best for me considering my ability and the ... line?
1414-1 Page 3
(A) Those that are of the REGULAR line; that is, those that are of the HOME BUILDING - see?
16. (Q) What additional lines would I be able to obtain to benefit myself and the organization? (A) Let's work these first! Do not put too many irons in the fire! Get self straight; work out those that you have before you and THEN we may accomplish more in taking on other specialty lines of some nature or another.
17. (Q) Any further advice? (A) Know first that the physical is builded by the mind, as also are the activities of the spiritual. For the spiritual is ONLY manifested through Mind, the Builder. Hence it is the attitude that the body takes towards things. To doubt in self and self's ability is to almost become defeated before one begins. Hence keep constructive thinking. KNOW it can be done, and only SELF is in the way! But let GOOD - and CONSTRUCTIVE FORCES - be the watchword EVER; and it CAN BE DONE!
18. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (For the Osteopathic AND Hydrotherapy treatments, we would refer you to Dr. Frank Dobbins, 551 Fifth Ave., and The Reilly Service, R.C.A. Bldg., N.Y. City.)
