1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1415].
2. Now, as we find, there are disturbing conditions that prevent the normal physical functioning of the body.
3. These as we find have to do with the eliminating system and the effects that have been produced in same by improper tendencies; and not an adherence to the precautions of nominal eliminations, nor to a diet that would keep an equal balance in the system.
4. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body, [1415] present in this room:
5. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find shows a disturbance in the circulation as related to the activity of the flows from the liver in its excretory functioning, and the activity of same upon the circulation as related to the assimilating system.
6. These then cause, in the balance in the metabolism and in the katabolism, disturbances that make it necessary for precautions on the part of the body in the directions that may supply to the system activities that are lacking, owing to the secretions being involved, in this organ.
7. IN THE NERVE FORCES OF THE BODY, here we find one of the basic causes in the beginning, or that as produced a condition which became as a production of the condition.
8. This as we find is a subluxation that exists in the 3rd and 4th dorsal plexus. This has produced in times back the periods when the body had nervous reactions that made for a trembly condition through the upper portion of the body, in the hands, in the head; and this reflexly produced a heaviness through the lower portion of the abdomen.
9. Those combinations then with these deflections, with a congestion in the eliminating system, brought about the first accumulations or sedimentary reactions in the areas about the liver secretions and the gall duct became then
1415-1 Page 2
involved, and then the bladder - or the gall duct bladder - made for accumulations; by these very congestions, and these are a portion of the disturbance in the body in the present.
10. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces are very good.
11. The sensory organism, the organs of the sensory forces become at times involved, owing to the disturbances in the nerve force, as related to the poisons that naturally accumulate by the lack of the proper eliminations from the system.
12. In the throat, the bronchi, the lungs, the larynx, these are very good when conditions are considered as to the disturbance in the circulation.
13. Heart's activity is affected only as the disturbance has made for reactions in the metabolism. Hence we have periods when there is a quick pulsation and others when it is subnormal.
14. In the digestive forces, these become problems rather of the digestives force - hence the precautionary measures necessary in the diets and the activities of the body as related to the actions of the hepatic circulation upon the forces of the body itself.
15. The digestive forces as related to the liver, the spleen, the pancreas, and the gall duct - or the gall bladder: Here we find, as has been indicated, disturbances that as we find may be eliminated better by absorption than by operative forces - or those activities for the system where the increased circulation by the releasing of the impulses in the circulation as related to this portion of the body, and the application of other influences, would tend to make for the decreasing rather than an increasing in the sediments there; thus allowing for the eliminations without operative forces.
16. Not by force, as by attempting to disgorge or to drain the gall bladder, but by the increased circulation and by the absorption.
17. These as we find while requiring time would be more effective than either the attempt to disgorge or to operate.
18. For this character of operation upon the system, under the existent conditions, would be rather a serious manner of procedure.
19. As to the activity produced upon the lower hepatic circulation, owing to the disturbance in the positive pole of the circulation - here we find the tendency of the kidneys to perform some of the functionings of the activities upon the system.
20. As to eliminations, as to secretions necessary for the
1415-1 Page 3
assimilation - these may only be done, to be sure, by the activity of the ducts and glands of the liver in ITS activity.
21. Hence we find the kidneys and the bladder, or the activity of the eliminations at times causing some uneasiness; though we find no organic nor even any activity other than an excess of the acids that are eliminated from or through these channels.
22. THEN, IN MAKING FOR THAT AS WE FIND THAT WOULD PROVE THE MORE BENEFICIAL FOR THE BODY:
23. First, we would begin with the gentle - not deep - manipulations; not upon the affected portions but upon those from which affected portions in the cerebrospinal system receive the impulse of the circulation for the activities about that particular area of the liver functioning; or in the 3rd and 4th dorsal centers, coordinating the 9th and the 4th lumbar as well as the brachial centers with same.
24. These we would take about twice a week for three to four weeks, and then leave off for about two or three weeks, and then begin again.
25. When there is the beginning of the second series, we would begin to apply Castor Oil Packs over the liver and the caecum area. First, however, we would paint the area with a combination of four parts Laudanum to one part Aconite, and then apply after same the hot Castor Oil Packs each evening for thirty minutes, for a period of four to five days; leave off for a period of four to five days; then apply again for four to five days - thirty minutes each evening for five days, leave off five days, then apply again for five days, then leave off five days, and then again. And by the third or fourth series, if the manipulations are carried on, we will begin to see changes. This will tend to make for the absorptions of the body to disintegrate the accumulations in such manners as to disgorge itself without stimulation other than from the cerebrospinal area.
26. As to diet, as to activities:
27. The diet that has been outlined and that is maintained is very good - but tend to those foods that make for less of starch and less of acid-producing. Tend to keep an alkalinity in the body, especially through the periods when the second series of adjustments and treatments are given, and the Packs begun.
28. Also when the Castor Oil Packs are begun, we would use more of the enemas than cathartics, or even laxatives. For if the colon is kept clear, and not allow for accumulations as the absorptions begin, these will keep the system in a much better condition.

29. Do these, and as we find, take those precautions that there is no strenuous exercise in a physical activity.
30. Ready for questions.
31. (Q) Would the manipulations be done by an osteopath or chiropractor? (A) Preferably the osteopath; for chiropractic treatment in this particular condition would be rather severe, making too great a strain. For, as has been indicated, these manipulations should be begun GENTLY; and it will only be in the second series that there will be particular or specific adjustments made in the upper dorsal area. The body should be prepared for the corrections, rather than making the specific adjustments in the beginning.
32. (Q) Will these treatments take care of the head condition too? (A) When we have these stresses off of this area, we will find that the circulation through the head and the through the soft tissue and those tendencies for accumulations will be very, very much relieved. Do these, that as we find will be the better for this body.
