1. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [1416].
2. In giving the interpretations of those records here, we find - but irrespective of will - these as influences from the astrological sojourns as well as material sojourns; and from such astrological sojourns and the material or earthly appearances we may gather something of WHY these as given are drawn from the entity's experiences in materiality as a whole:
3. One very intuitive, and oft called sentimental; yet very decided in likes and dislikes.
4. The tendency to assume the obligations and responsibilities of many that may be associated in the experience. Hence the entity will be interested in philanthropic activities that deal with humanity as a whole.
5. Tendency towards unexpected and dire happenings; that seem to come from NOWHERE, yet have a great influence upon the activities of the entity after such experiences.
6. One that will be inclined to travel a great deal, especially in the tropics.
7. Hence the necessity for precautions in those things that have to do with glandular affection, especially in the way of those things that would cause or lay the body exposed to those factors that produce fevers in the body.
8. The entity will find that many of those unexpected experiences happen in the latter portion of March.
9. Being close to a cusp change makes for the inclinations for many conflicting forces to become a part of the emotional activities of the entity.
10. As a physician the body would have excelled.
11. These are, as given, a general survey from the records here.
12. Now, more specific - as to the astrological aspects;
1416-1 Page 2
though know, no inclination, no experience, will exceed or force through the will of the entity. Hence these are merely inclinations or tends or trends. The astrological influences are upon the intuitive or emotional forces.
13. As we find in Venus, there is the ability for making friends, the keeping of friends; and yet oft considered by the friends as to think too much of self. This is not selfishness, but the inclination for the entity to dwell upon the abilities of self.
14. In most any direction then it may choose, it may never be lacking in abilities to have a large group of friends - or the inclination for many - or the opportunity is given for the entity to have, in whatever field chosen - not only hangers-on but a large clientele or following.
15. Hence the precautions as would be given in these directions, that the entity give and have the greater constructive forces as the leading influences in its activities and its associations.
16. In Jupiter we find the protective influence, and the association with large groups. Yet these may become, from the very influences from Saturn, as conditions to be disturbing - in the large numbers that are drawn rather by the glamor that is ever about the entity, than by the true influence.
17. Hence again that very injunction of CONSTRUCTIVE forces.
18. Though the entity enjoys a good joke, or those things that pertain to what may be termed at times as the joke upon the other fellow, these at times are taken oft by others as serious. Hence constructive forces even in the play, even in the associations from the daily life issue, should be a portion of the entity's thought and application.
19. From these we see astrologically the natural intuitive forces, and the great changes that are apparent in a general survey of the astrological impetus as well as the influences from the earthly or material sojourns; which the (the material sojourns) are rather the emotional natures of the entity, and find their expression in activities with others in that direction.
20. As is indicated, then, these are a portion of the appearances that influence the entity in the present period of this experience; for the varied experiences change as the individuals grow in the application of the lessons of the experience, as it may be termed. For, as in those activities of the daily experience, rarely would higher mathematics be used, yet these become a portion of the experience when necessary if the lessons in same are gained from the mental application.
1416-1 Page 3
21. Before this, then, we find the experience of the entity was during those periods of the clarifying in the present experiences of the entity's sojourns; or during that called the reconstructive period following the Revolution, when there were those activities that made for the gathering and the setting forth of the activities that separated the states into their various representations.
22. The entity then was among those who were close in the activities of those sojourns about the first established place of meetings (Philadelphia); and was what would be termed in the present as a copier or reporter for Franklin as well as those who represented the Delaware and Jersey delegations.
23. The name then was Janus (not as Julius nor as John, though the entity was called both) Canon.
24. The entity gained in those activities; and the like of freedom, the inclination for being FOR the underdog, the activities as related to those abilities in most any field of endeavor - for there were the activities that brought the varied conditions existent in the various groups joining then in an agreement for self-government as well as self-preservation for the activities of the various groups or states, under the conditions that existed in the period.
25. Again we see the love of travel, the need of those activities that would make for associations with tropical countries.
26. Hence commerce from tropical countries, as especially coffees, teas, fruits or vegetables that are peculiar to the abilities for exchange or for commerce, are of particular interest to the entity.
27. And in its activities, either as a helpful experience to hospitalization or in those trades or commerce or activities that would deal with especially Brazil or Ceylon or India or Persia, would be those experiences that would bring in the present the greater abilities and opportunities for activity. Not only as in a mental and material way, but as opportunities for the entity to express or manifest in the association those constructive principles in such dealings or activities.
28. Before that we find the entity during that period when the Master walked in the earth.
29. And here we may find that question answered which has oft been asked by many in the last half century, "Who was - and what became of - the rich young ruler that came and asked 'How may I have eternal life?'"
30. That was this entity. Hence the reason why again in the present experience the worldly goods are a portion of the
1416-1 Page 4
entity's activities; and the abilities to distribute same as a helpful influence in the experiences of others are still a portion of the entity's activity.
31. Much might be said as to that period of sojourn, and as to the helpful forces that came into the lives and experiences of many owing to the activities of that entity, who would be termed in the present as Jason - if the interpretation were given of the experience or name in the sojourn.
32. The associations with those in authority, politically, then, as the activities of the persecutions of a local nature, and those activities of the entity in inducing the Roman authorities to become a part of that deciding factor in the experiences of the earthly sojourn of many, were a part of that whole experience.
33. But blessed indeed is the entity to whom or about whom it was said, "As the Master looked on him, He loved him." [1/27/42 GD's note: See 2677-1 indicating that [2677], then Nicholas, was the rich young ruler who went away sorrowing, but later returned to help. We can only conclude that there were two, maybe more, "rich young rulers". Perhaps Matthew and Mark were recording different incidents of the same nature.]
34. Then the more necessity, the more reason, the more abilities for experiences in ANY sojourn may the entity find in making the material application of those things HE gave: "Love the Lord with all thy heart, thy mind and thy body; thy neighbor as thyself." This is the whole law. This the entity has oft found in the experience brings the greatest of satisfaction, the greatest joy and happiness; making the opportunity for others to know HOPE, to know that there IS Life and that there ARE those who really care, in the material as well as in the spiritual experiences of others.
35. Before that we find the entity in that land now known as the Gobi, during those periods when - through those activities of the Prince of the land - there were the joinings of the various tenets as to connections or associations with other peoples; the establishings of helpful influences as to the manners of caring for the indigent and the aged, as to the associations that the varied individuals as rulers took in their dealings with those that would be termed of the lower caste or class, or the laborer that labored day by day.
36. Hence those things that pertain to law, those things that pertain to financial associations and exchange, investments that have to do with the savings for particular
1416-1 Page 5
individual activities, have been and are a part of the entity's experience.
37. For the entity was then - what would be called today - the Secretary of Finance of the Gobi land.
38. And again we find the influence that becomes a portion of that desire for travel, and especially in those lands of the tropics; or as in portions of India, Egypt, Yucatan, and portions of what is now Mexico and the southermost portion of the United States.
39. These were a part of the activities of the entity then, as Onann.
40. And of those peoples the entity became as one most highly thought of in all the other lands, to which the entity went as an interpreter and a gatherer of means and manners and ways of not only self-government but mediums of exchange as to that which might be sent from one land to another.
41. Before that we find the entity was in the Atlantean land, during those periods when there were the divisions between those of the Law of One and the sons of Belial, and the offspring of what was the pure race and those that had projected themselves into creatures that became as the sons of men (as the terminology would be) rather than the creatures of God.
42. The entity then was among the princes of the Law of One, and made overtures oft that brought into the experience many of those turmoils and misinterpretations.
43. The name then was Oslmn, as would be termed in the present.
44. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, and that to which it may attain, and how:
45. The abilities are limited only by the desires and purposes. The desires and purposes if they are kept constructive are a continued growth in not only the hope that may be brought to others but in the development of self.
46. Hold fast to that thou hast heard - "These have I kept from my youth up" - but "Give that thou hast" not all of thy worldly goods, but that thou hast attained, by bringing hope and help in the experiences of those who have lost their perspective, who have lost their way.
47. And in whatever field of activity is chosen, with those same policies, those same tenets kept, ye will find many not only calling thee blessed but in the end thou may say, "I have fought the good fight - I enter into the joys WITH my Lord."
48. We are through for the present.
