Time of Reading 3:30 to 3:55 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Mrs. [1422].
2. Now, as we find, the conditions are such that there would be warnings for corrective measures, rather than so much of the applications of curative methods.
3. While the upsetting of the digestive forces will need correction and curative measures, it is rather the general condition that has much to do with glandular conditions of a nature as any.
4. These then are conditions as we find them for this body, Mrs. [1422].
5. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find the effect of a poor activity in the eliminations, produced by the overtaxing of the digestive system as related to the character of foods more than quantities of foods.
6. For there is the inclination, from the superacidity that arises at times, for lacerations in the lower end of the stomach, or in the area about the duodenals.
7. Also there are the inclinations for certain characters of elements to become the more active in the system by the lack of a proper balance in the glands that assist so in digestion (the pancreas). Thus there is an inclination or a tendency that needs precautionary measures, as well as corrective and curative influences for the activity of that portion of the body.
8. IN THE NERVOUS SYSTEM, naturally the nervous system becomes involved in the areas of the cerebrospinal and sympathetic systems from which the greater impulse is received for the activity towards the functioning of that portion of the hepatic circulation as disturbed, as well as those influences for the assimilating influence or force of the body itself.
9. IN THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, we find brain forces very good. The supersensitiveness through the activities of the sensory organism arises from the high nervous tension; that may be accompanied at one time by the acidity, at another the
1422-1 Page 2
changing of the metabolism through the activity of the glands - that are disturbed, as has been indicated.
10. In the throat, the bronchi, the lungs, the larynx: Here we find only the effects of a disturbing condition in the system; and these portions of the body only become aggravated then through those periods when either the assimilating or eliminating system is activative in the forces of the body itself.
11. IN MEETING, THEN, THE NEEDS OF THIS BODY, as we find, first:
12. There must be measures taken for the better assimilation of the food values taken.
13. Hence at least two or three days a week, after the heavy meal of the day (and as this varies, then the period at which this would be taken would vary), we would take a quarter teaspoonful of those properties contained in Alcaroid. Take just after the heavy meal of the day, within thirty minutes - the meal that is the heaviest, not each meal; for two to three days. Then leave off for two to three days, then repeat again - until there is a disappearance of the disturbances in the superficial circulation or the bodily forces themselves, less of the gas and belching, and a better elimination through the system.
14. We would also prepare the Clary Water - this to be taken as a tonic, and at the same time to make for impulses in the activity of the glandular system that would create the better balance for the body.
15. This we would have made for THIS body in this particular way:
16. To 1 ounce of the dried Flower of the Sage, or Dried Sage, add 10 ounces of Distilled Water. Let this come to a boil, and then set off until not cold but cool - so that it may be handled easily; and do not strain until it is near cool. This should make at least 6 1/2 to 8 ounces. To this then add 10 grains of Ambergris, dissolved in 1 ounce of Grain Alcohol. This would be one solution, you see - the Sage and the Ambergris.
17. Then, to 4 ounces of Re-Distilled Gordon Gin, add: A fusion of the Ambrosia Weed.....1/2 ounce. Then add 1/2 ounce of Honey to 1 ounce of Distilled Water and let come to a boil, and add to the Ambrosia fusion and the Re-Distilled Gordon Gin. Add then a broken stick of Cinnamon.
18. Then combine the two solutions together.
19. The dose would be half a teaspoonful before each meal,
1422-1 Page 3
just before each meal, for at least a period of a week - and then left off for three or four days, then begun again and taken for another week. Continue in this manner, repeating this process, until the whole quantity has been taken.
20. Then the DIET: Care and precautions as to this shall be taken. These beware of! Other foods, other combinations as to suit the palate may be taken, but these beware of!
21. No strong drinks or any food that makes for a quantity of alcohol in its activity in the system; that is, no cocktails, no beer. Wine may be taken AS a food, not as a drink. Red Wine in the late afternoon is very well, not more than an ounce and a half to two ounces; preferably with black or brown bread.
22. Beware of potatoes in any form, spaghetti or macaroni or WHITE bread!
23. Meats - never rare meats. Rather use those that are broiled or roasted; preferably only fowl, fish or lamb.
24. Eat plenty of fruits and cereals, but do not combine the two at the same meal.
25. Coffee, if taken at all, should be without cream - though sugar may be used in same. This should be fresh (the coffee), never stale.
26. Beware of tea.
27. And if the body will follow these, with the exercises in the open - not severe, but walking, riding, golfing and the like - we will find many of those minor conditions, or conditions that appear to be constitutional in their nature, will be materially benefited; and the body will feel much nearer to normal.
28. Ready for questions.
