R E A D I N G
Born August 8, 1895, in Perry, Oregon [or "it may have been" 1892, 4:00 A. M.]. Time of Reading 3:50 to 4:25 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Life Reading Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [1437].
2. In giving the interpretation of the records as we find here, know that these are urges that arise from the experiences of the entity through the astrological aspects or sojourns as well as from the appearances and activities of the entity in the earth.
3. Yet these, while making definite urges, and those inclinations for material manifestations, may be altered by what the entity does about same.
4. For there is the free will, that may change any activity. And that so often called "destined" should be understood; that there are the ways of activity - if they are constructive they become mental and soul building, bringing with same a joy, a peace not found in unconstructive experience, nor in the gratifying alone of selfish interests. For these oft turn and rend those that make of themselves or their appetites idols in their daily experience.
5. For he that would have life must give it. He that would have friends must be friendly.
6. If ye would have those that would believe in you, ye must keep promises, ye must realize the obligations; and these are oft too lightly considered in the experience of the entity.
7. We find from the astrological aspects, however, high mental abilities, through those influences of the Mercurian activity as well as an interest in the unusual, the love of travel, the love of unusual experiences; and the desire oft that there be the experience of the entity in all phases of human activity.
8. These may be well if they are constructive forces. If
1437-1 Page 2
they are a matter of satisfying only selfish emotions, they become destructive experiences oft in the activities of the entity.
9. As we find in the Venus influences, one that makes friendships; one that has a following in whatever endeavor the entity may make in the experience.
10. Also we find a gift for song, poetry, the abilities in portraying that which is for experiences in the human endeavor.
11. If the choices are for that which will make for the emotions that will bring hope and cheer and understanding, these may become constructive.
12. For that which is ever done with an eye single to a spiritual service is constructive. That which is done with an eye single for self-indulgence or self-glorification, or self-gratification alone, becomes destructive in the experiences of the entity - and will be found to be in the extremes when arising.
13. In the Jupiterian activities we find a protective influence as of a natural means in the experience, yet the entity in making and overlooking obligations oft brings into the experience those things that from many angles make the entity misunderstood.
14. Because the self loves mystery is not a reason to make a mystery of self. For the simple, the sincere, the humble servant of right and justice and peace will find the greater experiences in those activities in the material plane.
15. As to the appearances of the entity in the earth, and their influences upon the activities in the present:
16. Before this we find the entity was in the Norse land during those periods when the Norsemen were journeying to the land of the entity's present nativity.
17. The entity came only to the extreme shores of same, during that period when Eriksson and Olaf and Olenscen made those journeys into what was called Martha's land and Vinland, in those portions about Connecticut and Massachusetts as they are called in the present.
18. Hence those particular portions of the land have held for the entity an interest, in all of its experiences; as a land of mystery, as a land in which there might be discovered those forces that make for the material and the social successes.
19. And these have been the experiences of the entity through this particular sojourn.
20. The name then was Jessenson. In the experience the entity gained, as not only one well versed in the activities of the open sea during the experience and acquainted with
1437-1 Page 3
navigation but one with the abilities to arouse within those under same the desire for a service in a purposeful activity; and the abilities to furnish for each and every associate that which would help them to keep in accord with the purposes.
21. Those made for gaining experiences, yet if they are turned into that Channel for self-glorification alone, they may become a stumblingblock in the present.
22. For with the abilities to entertain, with the abilities to give pleasure and to make for concentrated effort on the part of others by the very activities of self, unless these are given to others in a constructive manner or with the hope for other than the mere material or earthly pleasures, they become a boomerang, or as a Frankenstein in the experiences in the present.
23. Before that we find the entity was in the land now known as the Yucatan or Central America, when there were those activities by those peoples who came from the Inca or the land of Og and the Atlantean land; when there were the attempts to reestablish those activities of not only the older portions of the Atlantean civilization but also of those who sojourned in that particular experience.
24. The entity was raised to that one in authority as an ACTIVE priest, furnishing the activities in the temples (that are beginning to be uncovered in the present).
25. From those very associations we find arising in the present those peculiar interests the entity has had in the occult and the mysterious and the mysteries of life.
26. These become an innate desire. Hence if these are made to become in all experiences not as a mere gratification of pleasure but such as to bring hope and joy and peace into the experiences of others, these may be turned into channels in which they become as stepping-stones for greater understanding, greater material as well as mental successes.
27. For success, remember, ever is a mental state of any individual, and depends upon the ideal that is set - or the standard of excellency.
28. In the experience then the entity was known as Guloupo; and the entity gained and lost, gained and lost - gained because of those activities in which hope was brought into the experience - lost because in the latter portion the activities were turned into those for self-indulgences and self-glorification, and brought distresses into the experiences of many.
29. Beware that a worse fate does not befall thee in the present, then, by making applications of self in that as will become a hopeful experience in the lives of those who
1437-1 Page 4
are dependent upon the entity not only for the material things but for the ability of the entity to create hope within the mental self - which is in every entity and in every soul (the Mind) the Builder.
30. And as the entity's abilities are in those activities that make for concentrating of thought, let these be of constructive natures.
31. Before that we find the entity was in the land now known as the Gobi, or the desert land; during those experiences when there was the reestablishing or the coming together as it were of those groups of individuals that were to correlate the laws and tenets that would be the governing forces of those peoples as well as those from the land of Lamu, and from that now known as the Indo-China land.
32. The entity then was a leader, a director, a teacher - Zui-Lo.
33. Hence we may find in the experience of the entity in the present the abilities in the directing of choirs, the directing of the young in elementals of the physical expression that may find itself through song or poetry or music or the like.
34. These become a part of the entity as that of the whole becoming a part of Creative Forces, if the purposes and aims are given in that direction.
35. What ye give alone ye possess.
36. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, and that to which it may attain, and how:
37. Keep a law of love before thee, ever. For those things that make for the arousing of hope in the lives and experiences are lasting; those that make for the arousing of emotions that are only for the glorifying or satisfying of an individual appetite, though they may appear beautiful in their beginnings, they sour and become those very things that are as moth and rust in the experiences.
38. So live, then, that thy associations wear well with others, and you will find throughout the activities a peace and a harmony that has not yet been reached in this experience, but is a part of the entity's abilities if directed in that way or manner.
39. Ready for questions.
40. (Q) Into what channels of activity for best success in living do my previous experiences lead me? (A) In directing the young, or giving to peoples through the abilities of music or song or verse that of beauty and hope and a longing for the spiritual life.
41. (Q) For artistic success, which of the two of opera or concert should I favor, and which will be the most remunerative?
1437-1 Page 5
(A) Concert!
42. (Q) What about the Movies? Should I try for it or not? (A) These as we find with the concert activity would become a part of the experience, if directed in that channel.
43. (Q) At present, am I under the proper Management? and is he sincere in dealings, and will he be able to do much business for me? (A) These are very good; and the same sincerity that is given. Too oft has the self neglected many of the obligations and the promises. These have created an air of indifference that oft becomes disturbing, but if there is a more positive air - and directing by self in associations - these will become much more promising.
44. (Q) Am I wise to stay on my present Radio program? What will my future in Radio be? (A) Very well that for the present this be kept.
45. (Q) What will my future in Radio be? (A) That depends as to whether these are directed in those channels as indicated; that are, while educational, yet hopeful and bring EXPECTANCY not for the material emotions but for the mental and SPIRITUAL emotions of the individuals to whom the approach is made in the supplying of not merely entertainment but real hope in the experience.
46. (Q) What about my health? Is my condition a permanent one? or will I have better health in years to come? (A) This depends, to be sure, upon the activity; and may be approached by the analysis of the physical reactions from here, rather than from the appearances in the earth as a whole. In the activities of the appearances in the earth as a whole, there is not that which would indicate this would remain as a permanent experience for a development in the present; but may be grown out of if there is the application of self to constructive forces in the experience of the physical and mental self in the present.
47. (Q) Should I marry Helen? and would it be a success? (A) If there is the proposition that the self is not to be lauded nor looked up to, but is to remain a fifty-fifty proposition, very well. But we see troubles unless these ARE a part of the whole experience.
48. (Q) In what State would be best for me to purchase land for developing and finally building my future home? or do I belong in Europe? (A) As the natural inclinations are for travel, to make for a settling or a permanent activity as in a home would not be
1437-1 Page 6
the experience until there are those years when there has been and is seen about self the growing of those activities for a constructive influence by the very experiences of the entity in the lives of the young - not of self's only but of others'. For as we find, there are many lands as YET to be visited by the entity!
49. (Q) Any other advice at this time? (A) Keep the faith of the fathers, not only in the vetus [?] and the eddis [?] but in the mysteries of the unseen forces. For these are they that speak of thy relationship to thy Creator, and it is for the exaltation of HIS service and HIS love for thee that makes thy purpose in the earth. And unless these be a part of the experience, the individual experience becomes vain.
