Born July 24, 1893, in Chase City, Virginia. Time of Reading 10:50 to 11:35 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia. (Life Reading Suggestions)
1. EC: (Going back over years from present - " - '37 not so good - '13 - Changes in the attitude of life - '12 - " etc., on back to birth date.)
2. Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [1440].
3. In giving the interpretations of those records as we find here, these are as from the astrological aspects the mental or innate urges; that arise not so much as emotions but as the motivative influences of thought, as from unseen or unknown sources; while the sojourns in the material plane in matter, and as a personality, make for the emotional tendencies of the entity.
4. Hence as we find, as has been part of the study of the entity, while cause and effect as hereditary and environmental influences are effective in the activities of individuals, so do the astrological sojourns and the experiences of the entity in materiality motivate; without the ability oft to know what have been and are the motivative influences - unless there is oft self-analysis.
5. Yet will, that factor that is the gift of each soul in the material plane, as the birthright, as the gift of the Maker, may change any or all of these in the experience of an entity.
6. This, as is the experience of each and every entity, is the means, the channel, the way through which there is the carrying out of what has been given - the Lord hath not willed that any should perish but hath with every temptation prepared a way of escape.
7. Hence it is free will. While the gift of eternal life, the gift of understanding is of the Lord, the taking of knowledge is an activity of the mental self.
8. The application then is that through which, by which,
1440-1 Page 2
each soul finds its growth, its development, its experience.
9. Then what IS that choice of this or that experience that makes for growth or retardment in the experience of an entity? That the judgements, that the ideals, be constructive and that they be bearing the fruits of the spirit; as patience, mercy, longsuffering, brotherly love.
10. For in these there is no law, for they ARE the law. And they in their activities in the hearts and souls of the children of men bring peace and harmony of the nature that has been and is the gift of Him that gave, "My peace I leave with thee, My peace I give unto thee - not as the world giveth peace" in the gratifying, in the satisfying of appetites or material desires, or of looking for ease and comfort irrespective of that it may bring into the experiences of others, but in that atmosphere, in that environ of "My peace I give unto you."
11. Or the fruits of the spirit of truth that maketh men ALIVE in the consciousness of their relationship to Creative Forces.
12. For that which is done in the purpose, in the desire for meeting and being one with the ideal - if the ideal is of the spirit of truth - is constructive. But it is not as to what one says, not as to what one may say one believes that counts, but rather what one does ABOUT that which is the experience day by day.
13. Then in the astrological aspects for this entity we find these as ruling influences:
14. Jupiter, Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Mars - almost in the order as given.
15. Hence we find these the activities of the entity as within themselves have to deal with the influences of the lives of many, as well as being individual in its application.
16. One of high mental abilities. One that may accomplish much if the spirit of humbleness and of patience is manifested in its dealing with men and their faults, their quibbles, their activities.
17. One who in that innate and manifested influence of friendships brings close harmony in its relationships and its dealings with others.
18. One who may make its personalities arise to those influences as to bring weal or woe in the experience.
19. For while the entity finds it easy to make friends, we often find it as easy that those in whom it has given its confidence and hope have been disappointing; or if this is allowed to become a stumblingblock, and judgements become as "All people are crooked and not worthy of consideration,"
1440-1 Page 3
the HARM is done to self and to self's concept of Creative Forces and influences, and not to the individuals to whom such may be directed - but the self.
20. Hence as it is always given, study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman not ashamed, rightly dividing the words of truth and keeping self unspotted from the world.
21. In Mars as well as in the influence from Saturn we find changed circumstance in material things oft becoming as a part of the experience of the entity.
22. If these then become things as were the things of old that ye longed for, the fleshpots of Egypt, they become stumblingblocks; but if the very experiences are used as these are but steps that one may see the glory of the Father and the love that He beareth for the children of men, they become constructive experiences.
23. And oft, as in Mars, there are the influences that give madness, wrath, anger. The entity has found the experiences in its dealings with others wherein heartaches are produced by disappointments in individuals in whom there had been given confidences.
24. Again if these are allowed to become as stumblingblocks as to hold grudges, to make for animosities, to make for the closing of self to the beauties, then they become destructive in the life. For remember, unless ye can see beauty in the individual manifesting in the flesh that is thy worst enemy, or see in him an image of that ye worship in thy Maker, ye have not opened the door even of faith!
25. As to the appearances in the earth, then, and their effect upon the entity in this experience - remember that these interpretations are given to be as constructive forces and from that angle; not that there should be dwelling upon the hardships only nor the glorious only, nor how beautiful are the feet of those that love the Lord only, but the sad and the sorrowful - for these are not life in the earth, unless all of such are included also.
26. Before this, then, we find the entity was in the French land, during those periods when there were the activities and studies of the things that were wrought and brought about the French Revolution, or the freedom of the common peoples from the activities of those that made for the self-indulgences and hung as it were the tax for same upon the yokes of those that labored day by day.
27. The entity was a companion then of one known as a leader in those activities, and a comely person; given to good deeds and making for helpful experiences in the lives and the training of the young; and was what would be called in
1440-1 Page 4
the present an instructress or a tutor to those who were in the positions for the royalty.
28. Then in the name Cheveleux, the entity in the experience gained, lost, and gained.
29. For with the beginning of the meetings of groups for a determined activity, we find the entity forsaking much of what had been its own instructions to others and seeking to arouse in the minds, experiences and activities of others, that of FORCE, MIGHT!
30. Might never makes right. Hence those were losing periods in the experience.
31. But with the physical suffering about the entity, and with the expressions as given by many of those that were brought in close association from the persecutions of those in authority without cause or without purpose, this brought the entity to the loving understanding that might does not make right; only in the mercies of a loving Father as He gave unto the children of men that direction, "As ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them." This became a part of the entity's experience, and thus there began again those periods for the reconstruction of the life activity.
32. And from those experiences come those abilities in teaching, the abilities in instruction, and the warnings against holding animosities or grudges; for they build barriers in thine own experience that prevent thee from seeing the glories of the Christ-Consciousness in activity in the lives of others.
33. For all must come under the bar.
34. Before that we find the entity was in what is now called the Promised Land, during those periods when the Master walked in the earth, and there were those that came from many portions of the land to hear of those strange happenings that had come to pass.
35. While the entity only came in contact with the Master during the sojourns or travels of the Master through the lands of the upper Palestine coast, and the entity only heard - during the activities of the Master - those admonitions given to the lady that sought for aid for her own household, the entity was a friend of that entity - and from same came in contact during those periods when the disciples stood and there were heard in all tongues those teachings of that one that had been given, as it were, the keys of the kingdom - or the leader.
36. Then the entity joined with those that were from the lands over which Philip was put as the particular ministering to their needs, and for the care; also Stephen
1440-1 Page 5
that came close into the experience of the entity.
37. The entity was not of the Jewish peoples but among them, aiding, ministering not only to those that were in need for material things but that were in need for the mental and spiritual understandings; in the name then Thessile.
38. In the experience the entity gained throughout the greater portion.
39. The abilities to be a nurse, the abilities to make a home, the abilities to find all of these hard to be carried on in the experience, arise from the very activities and the thoughts during that experience.
40. Yet if the lessons, if the tenets, if the life's activities are guided by those very things that were heard, and that have been pondered oft in the experience, and they are kept as the watchword, as the guiding light, as the standard of its ideal, there will come a greater harmony and peace into the experience with which it now deals.
41. For as is the purpose of the entity's experience in the present, as to others, that their lessons may be learned. For it is continually self being met, and what ye have done about it, and only the promises, the faith, the activity in those things for whom and from whom there has been obtained an advocate with the Father may mercies be shown. For only as ye show mercy may it be shown to thee. Only as ye show patience, longsuffering, brotherly kindness, may these be shown to thee. For thou art indeed a god in its making, for He would have thee as one with Him; yet the choices must be made by thee, or else ye become only as an automaton, only capable of doing that to which ye have been set as unchangeable. For while the law of the Lord is ever the same, the abilities to show forth same are according to the individual application. Good is good. There is not better good than GOOD.
42. Be not then merely good, but be good for something - in HIS name!
43. Before that (among those having an effect upon the entity's activities in the present) we find the entity was in the Egyptian land, during those periods when the turmoils and strifes had arisen; when there came rather those activities for the preparations of those that would become ministers and teachers and emissaries, and those that would assist in the correlating of the tenets that had become a part of, or the purpose of, many teachers in many lands.
44. The entity then passed through the Temple of Sacrifice, first; removing from the bodily forces that which had hindered in its very activities in its associations in a portion of the service among the common peoples (as they
1440-1 Page 6
were even called then); yet the entity became the teacher to whom many came in search for that which made for a common union between those that labored and those that studied.
45. And as the entity has experienced and may experience, they that study much labor seldom with the hands; they that labor oft with the hands study little.
46. In the application, then - there must be teachers, there must be instructors, there must be healers, there must be all according to that purpose whereunto they have set themselves.
47. Ministering and teaching, then, becomes a portion of the entity's experience in the present; and through those channels may there come the greater development in this particular experience.
48. Then, as ye came into the knowledge and understanding through the tenets of Him who walked by the sea, to Him who gave, "Come unto me all that are weak and heavy-laden and ye shall find rest unto your souls - if ye will learn of me," give and teach and DO thou likewise.
49. Ready for questions.
50. (Q) How can I remedy the confusion with my husband's people? (A) Act toward them as ye would have them act toward you if the circumstances and conditions were reversed.
51. (Q) Shall I go to them for help for my husband now, and will they help? (A) This depends upon the manner of approach and in the way. They have sought to humble thee. Did He not humble Himself before those over whom He was Lord and Master? Through the humbling, material help may come. Is it worthy of thy pride or thy grace or thy activities? or is it not in accordance with that as He has given as a lesson to thee?
52. (Q) How shall I solve the problem of caring for my husband when school starts next Wednesday? (A) As has been indicated, these make for ways to be opened in the neighbors and the neighborhood.
53. (Q) How shall I proceed to clear confusion in school situation? (A) In the application of that thou knowest to be truth, justice, mercy and right. Not by continuing to make for those things that arouse and rise to make for disturbing forces, but in patience and in persistence; for these are sisters of faith.
54. (Q) What was my relation with my present husband in former experiences? (A) Very close relationship, and in the latter portion of the experience in Palestine was a keeper of the home for Simeon.
55. We are through for the present.
