Time of Reading 4:00 to 4:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Tenn. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: (Yes - house a little ways back - Yes, we are beginning the Reading, Mr. [1451].)

2. Yes, we have the body here, Mr. [1451].

3. Now as we find the conditions that disturb the body, and prevent the normal reactions, are subtle and are rather of a complication.

4. But if there is the CONSISTENT application of those activities that would again ATTUNE the system to a better coordination between the eliminations, the assimilations and the distribution of energies through the system, we would find not only relief but the abilities for a greater activity of the body.

5. These then are the conditions as we find them with this body, Mr. [1451]:

6. The blood supply indicates a condition through the system of infection. This infection finds expression in the muscles and tendons of the extremities, and at times through the muscular forces of the spine or back, and through the activities of the system.

7. And as we find these conditions are rather a combination of the reactions in the upper hepatic and those as related to the activity of the pancreas, the liver, the spleen, and naturally the reactions to the kidneys themselves.

8. These as we find then are the basis of the disturbance; and the effects as indicated find reaction in the shortness of breath at times, the bad color, the indigestion, the upsetting of the body, tautness in portions of the system, the distresses in the muscular forces of the extremities of the body - arms and limbs; and the condition for the feet.

9. Then, the activities upon the nervous system, these naturally produce pressure; and both the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic or vegetative systems become involved, though one may be said to be a part of the condition while the other (in the sympathetic system) may be said to be rather the warnings to the system of the pressures.

1451-1 Page 2

10. Hence those periods when the body feels depressed, and others when the pain may be severe but there is the hope or the optimism that enables the body to carry on.

11. As we find then, these activities upon the organs of the system bring the dilations to the activity in the upper portion of the body and the body is susceptible to cold - or the mucous membrane activity through the nasal passages at times, though not all the time. But the body is susceptible to cold, as it were. And easily does the effect of same upon the respiratory system bring distresses through the activity of pollen.

12. Again we find the reactions to the digestive system, a feeling of a bloating, excesses of acid or the gas formations. These are reflexes and these come at various times owing to the manner or nature of diet and the effect of same in its reaction in the bodily forces themselves.

13. As to the activities as we find then that may bring relief to the body, we would give those things that would revert more not only as palliatives but to remove the causes.

14. These things then would be the course to pursue, but take ALL or NONE! Do not take part of these suggestions and leave off the others! For when there is relief, there should even then be the continuing of same until there is the removal of the causes of the conditions.

15. First, then, we would give as this:

16. Obtain two quantities, or two ounces, of Toris Compound. Prepare one quantity with the Compound Simple Syrup, and the other quantity with Spirits Frumenti or Whiskey. The two quantities then would be COMBINED, you see. Be sure that the whole combination of each is prepared as stipulated in the directions, except there would be the combining of same in two separate quantities and then putting them together. However, the taking of same would be varied somewhat. Take a teaspoonful four times each day; before the morning meal, AFTER the noon meal, before the evening meal, and before retiring.

17. After this mixture has been taken for at least three days, then have a HIGH ENEMA or COLONIC IRRIGATION: not that the properties will not have been active enough, but to assist in cleansing the colon of refuse forces that have been as it were adhering to the walls of the colon in portions of same; notably in the ascending and the transverse or descending - portion of the descending. Hence the HIGH COLONIC IRRIGATION. One should be sufficient of the HIGH COLONICS. It would necessitate that the body rest, or have this done by one who gives such in a scientific

1451-1 Page 3

manner, see?

18. Then when the colon cleansing is needed again, it may be done by self - only as enemas - from a Fountain Syringe.

19. The Toris Compound as prepared would be taken until three-fourths of the whole quantity had been taken.

20. Then begin with OSTEOPATHIC adjustments and corrections. There is the necessity that specific adjustments be made in first the upper cervical areas, then the upper dorsal areas, then the COORDINATING of the lower dorsal AND lumbar WITH the cervical movements that will have been made.

21. In each of the treatments thus given, be sure there are the corrections and the adjustments in the coccyx AND lumbar axis; and extend same to the lower portion of the lower limbs - or the FEET should be a part of the correction, you see.

22. We would take at least eighteen to twenty of such manipulations and corrections, and then leave off for a period of a month before another series - which would be preferably given ONCE a week for two months, see? or eight or ten treatments.

23. When we begin with the Osteopathic treatments, we would also begin with the use of the Radio-Active Appliance for creating or bringing about a coordination of the circulatory forces through the system.

24. In using the Appliance, be sure there is a consistent circulation of the anode applications about the body. Do not make the same attachments for two days in succession. In the first make the attachment to the right wrist, then the left ankle; then the next day to the right ankle and left wrist, see? then the next day to the left ankle and the right wrist; the next day to the left wrist and right ankle. In that manner keep up the use of same. Only use the Appliance during the periods when the Osteopathic manipulations are being given, and the adjustments; not just on the days but the periods. Use EACH day for at least thirty minutes, preferably in the evening.

25. Do that.

26. In the matter of the diet, of these beware: Do not take foods that are highly seasoned, or too great quantities of condiments. Do not combine citrus fruit juices and cereals in the same meal. Beware of fried foods. Beware of too much of such at the same meal as potatoes, spaghetti, tomatoes and the like; any of these may be taken in moderation but NOT combined in the same meal. Preferably when meats are taken, use either fish, fowl or lamb. These may be altered in such ways and manners as to make for those things which will create the better balance throughout the

1451-1 Page 4

system.

27. Ready for questions.

28. (Q) What osteopath in Nashville would you advise me to go to for these treatments as suggested? (A) Well, there are several there - as we find - that would be very well. Any of those that may be somewhat in sympathy with the suggestions here given. Whiteside [Sunora L. Whiteside, D.O.] or - such an one.

29. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (GD's note: Notation: Mr. [1451], if you cannot get the Toris Compound from your local druggist, have him order the two quantities from: The Globe Chemical Co., Dayton, Ohio, or Meredith Drug Co., 17th St., Va. Beach, Va. P.S. The one HIGH COLONIC may be obtained from a good Hydrotherapist.)
