Time of Reading 3:00 to 3:20 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., La. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1464].

2. Now as we find, while in many respects physical conditions are very good, there are disturbing conditions that we find may be materially aided.

3. With consistent activities as may be outlined, with precautions as to diet, we may find a renewing of the vitality and a reionizing of the system as it were; and the opportunities for much mental, spiritual and material activity.

4. These then are the conditions as we find them with this body, [1464].

5. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find the indications of poor eliminations, and the effects of some old disturbances that affected the activity of the liver as related to the hepatic circulation as a whole; as well as the lack of the proper eliminations; or better to say lack of the proper COORDINATION of the eliminating systems.

6. Hence we find from these activities those conditions arise in the tendon and the muscular forces as related to the extremities, as well as at times to the whole of the superficial circulation as indicated on parts of the body; especially the neck or head at times, and in other portions at other times.

7. IN THE NERVOUS SYSTEM OF THE BODY, here we find pressures, as may be indicated from the disturbances in the circulatory forces and the activity of the eliminating systems and their incoordinations.

8. Hence we have periods when the body is in that state of where it may be said there are pressures between the sympathetic AND the cerebrospinal systems.

9. Thus we have wakeful periods, and at others there is the inclination for the body to require more rest, or the inclination to not be as active in the mental reactions to the sensory forces as might be desirable by the body.

10. IN THE ORGANS DISTURBED, as we find, while these in their very nature make for a disturbance between the circulation of the heart AND the liver, IF there are those activities to prevent these from forming or producing pressures in the channels of the circulation, or in the arterial activity, we will not have - DO NOT HAVE - a heart condition.

11. However, the very nature of the conditions makes for disturbances that give the appearance at times of this being a part of the condition. Yet this is a nerve reaction rather than organic or even functional; a NERVE reaction or condition.

12. Thus the incoordination between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal systems makes for that reaction.

13. Take precautions to be sure, as will be seen indicted for the helpful forces for this body.

14. In making then the applications, as we would find these would be preferable:

15. FIRST we would begin with the Fume Baths; not heating the body but rather the fumes of properties that, with the massage following same, will produce a variation in the ability of the respiratory system and the perspiratory system and the body functions - so as to make for reactions in carrying on their proper eliminations. The preferable manner to give these as we find would be with the cabinet such as the Berg gown or the like.

16. We would have such a Fume Bath at least once a week, until six or eight or ten are taken, and then they may be farther apart. At one period we would use the fumes from Tincture of Iodine; a teaspoonful added to the pint of water for the fumes. The next week we would use the fumes of Oil of Wintergreen; a teaspoonful added to the pint of water. From twenty to thirty minutes should be sufficient for each treatment.

17. Following each such Fume Bath we would have a thorough massage, as the Swedish Massage.

18. After the second Fume Bath (that is, one of each), we would begin with taking the Toris Compound. Prepare two quantities, or two ounces, of the Toris Compound. One quantity would be prepared with the spirits frumenti or whiskey, half a pint; the other with the compound simple syrup. Prepare as indicated on the package, using the Syrup of Sarsaparilla in each; but the whiskey in one and the simple syrup in the other (compound simple syrup). After the two quantities are prepared and mixed thoroughly, then add the two together. The dose would be in the beginning a teaspoonful four times each day; preferably before the meals

and before retiring. Take the whole quantity of these. After taking for a week or ten days, four times each day, increase the dose to a dessertspoonful (not a tablespoonful but a dessertspoonful) four times each day; or it may be changed to three times; of morning, before the evening meal, and then before retiring.

19. Keep these up until there is the relaxing, the eliminating.

20. After the compound has been taken for something like four or five days, it would be well to have with one of the Fume Bath treatments - say the third treatment - a high colonic irrigation to remove the dilations indicated through portions of the colon by the poor eliminations.

21. This should not be taken too often, but sufficient to relax the whole body and allow the functioning of the system to become near to normal reaction.

22. Know that even at this period in the experience of the body there is that within the body which WILL replenish, if the body is kept cleansed from the impurities of poor eliminations.

23. In the matter of the diet, this then becomes a portion of the whole. Do not do ONE of these without the other. Take the WHOLE of that suggested, and we will find the results for this body.

24. This would be as an outline for the diet, though to be sure these particular foods would not be all - but these are given as an indication of the type of diet:

25. Do not eat fried foods at any time, nor of ANY character.

26. Mornings - citrus fruits OR cereals, but not both. Tea or coffee if desired may be taken, but NOT with cream or milk. Sugar may be taken. At other periods there may be taken egg with WHOLE WHEAT toast. Any of these may be taken to alter. Or there may be used stewed fruits or fresh fruits if so desired.

27. Noons - preferably at this meal eat almost wholly raw vegetables; as lettuce, celery, tomatoes, or the combinations of any of these. Young onions, or radishes, or spinach, or such natures. Or there may be the altering at times with only vegetable juices. Not citrus fruits, not fruit juices, but vegetable juices. These juices may be those pressed from the green vegetables or they may be from the vegetables cooked in their OWN juices, their own salts; or the combining of these may be had. But not with too much of any character of oils, other than butter or the combinations of same.

28. Evenings - the meats should only consist of fish, fowl

or lamb. No red meats, then. All characters of vegetables, and especially include occasionally the Jerusalem artichoke - the adrenaline [inulin?] from these will make for the toning of the activity of the pancreas and the glands of the digestive system as related to the general condition that is to be relieved by the massage and the baths and the eliminations.

29. Do these consistently, persistently; and we will bring the better conditions for this body, [1464].

30. Ready for questions.
