Time of Reading 10:35 to 11:10 A.M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia.
1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [1467] present in this room, together with the existing conditions of the physical body, his present work and working conditions, his life's work, his purpose to build a home (house), his wife, [263], and his mental and spiritual development. Please analyze same, giving specific information, advice and counsel which may be easily understood by him as to how to meet same. You will answer the questions which will be submitted by him.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, Mr. [1467]; together with the conditions, the environs, the desires, the purposes, and those conditions which would hinder or aid in the development - mentally, spiritually and materially.
3. In analyzing these, first - as these, the mental and spiritual, manifest through the material forces and influences in the present - there are the needs for consideration of specific conditions which we find existing in the present; and there should be those activities to correct same in such a way and manner as to give a better physical and mental body for the activities that are desired.
4. As we find, in the lumbar axis there is that strain, caused by this unbalanced condition in the pelvic bone itself, through a general or heavy strain upon same, which has caused such tensions on the muscular forces along the area of the sacral to even the 1st dorsal, or the 12th dorsal, and such strains, that - with any general activity of the nature as to cause weight or strain to be put upon same - it gives a great deal of pain.
5. These, as we find, need corrections; and will require a few days of rest YET; WITH specific applications which should remove not only the causes but the effects that have been produced by this disturbance here.
6. First, during the evening or night, for some SEVERAL
1467-6 Page 2
WEEKS, we would apply three to five thicknesses of heavy flannel saturated with an equal combination of Mutton Tallow, Spirits of Turpentine, and Spirits of Camphor.
7. For the first day or two, now, massage the area thoroughly with a saturated solution of Pure Apple Vinegar and Sodium Chloride - or SALT. Do not rub this so heavily as to break the skin, to be sure, but dampen the Salt thoroughly with the Vinegar and massage until the skin is well reddened - but NOT the skin broken. Then apply a heavy salt pack that is sprinkled with the vinegar - not wet but sprinkled with same. And for at least an hour it would be well that there be applied the heavy electric pad to keep same warm.
8. After the second treatment, then have the adjustments made osteopathically in the lumbar axis. Also stimulate to the end of the spine, generally, as well as to the 10th, 11th, even to the 9th dorsal.
9. Then keep up each evening those packs as indicated.
10. These as we find would be the better applications; keeping the eliminations near normal. For such we would use SERUTAN. This as we find should make for much better physical forces, and relieve and eliminate the causes of the disturbances which have existed and do exist in the present.
11. Take a heaping teaspoonful of the SERUTAN each day, - better in the evening or at the evening meal. This may be added to water or milk, whichever is desired. Do not take it too soon after being put in the water, nor let it jell so as to become too stiff.
12. In analyzing the purposes, the desires, the relationships - these in the present, as we find, are very well.
13. The present labors or activities at times work something of a hardship upon the body physically, owing to the present disturbances; but if these conditions are eliminated through the manner and channels as indicated (and they would be), then the body will adjust itself to these activities.
14. Of course, it may be necessary for the second or third osteopathic adjustment, but there is needed MORE the reduction of the conditions through the local applications indicated. The Salt and Vinegar would NOT be applied in the evening as the body rests, but during the day, and discontinued when the body is better.
15. Then, keep the present environs in the work - for the present; and in the early spring we will find there will be those opportunities in other associations that have had to do with activities in which the body has heretofore been engaged - if such is desired.
1467-6 Page 3
16. These through material efforts will offer the opportunities for such incomes materially as to the preparing of, the looking forward to, the establishing self better in a material way.
17. THEN the preparations for such an abode or home as is desired.
18. Let it be, then, as an outcome of the spiritual awakening to that which is the purpose of a home.
19. These thoughts - in the experience of the entity - as to a home of the manner or nature that is to the entity ideal, - not idealistic but ideal - have been rather of the dream than of a materialization. Hence these thoughts, these intents, these purposes for same should be well analyzed; knowing that - as in the preparation, in the experiencing of ideals - these are LIVEABLE! not theory, nor dream alone! Yet these are not as a result of that which may be bestowed upon one, but as one may live through bestowing upon such associations, such environs - and it must EVER be on an equal basis! The home is as much dependent upon the mate as upon self, but neither can be the whole; for they are one, even as the purposes, the activities that arise form spiritual, mental, desires.
20. These become then not merely as a thought, an idea, but a realization. But the purpose, the motivative force must arise from spiritual desires on the part of each.
21. Ready for questions.
22. (Q) Are my eyes, ears, teeth and gums alright? (A) As there is better elimination, and better established circulation by the removal of the strains and the pressures upon the nerve system, these will be naturally aided - by the general improvement of the whole system. For, as has just been indicated - this may be well used as an illustration of that indicated. The functionings of the eyes, the ears, the speech, the sense of feeling - these all arise as separate or individual activities, yet are wholly reliant upon the general physical condition of the body as a unit. Thus in the patterning of the life, in the creating of spiritual awakening of a home environ, there cannot be strains upon one activity of one or the other, of those making for same, without there being produced disturbances even as illustrated in the body-functioning.
23. (Q) Please give directions as to how my left shoe should be built up, the height of heel, etc. (A) This as we find had best be built with an inner cork
1467-6 Page 4
sole. As to the height and position, or shaping of same, this as we find should be best built with little more in the rear and not quite so much close to the instep - or the sloping to the instep, about a quarter of an inch, see? As to the thickness, that as has been used - or as would be the measurement of the limbs when standing erect - would be the proper measurement, that each be in accord, or a leveling across the pelvic bone.
24. (Q) Is the shoe I now wear a retardment toward relieving the pressure in the pelvic area? (A) This tends to throw backward and to make a strain on the fore portion of the sciatic nerve, which is felt by the body at times when a long time standing, or if long distance walking. That position or that place as indicated will make it somewhat better, and keep a more even keel.
25. (Q) Should I continue Codiron? (A) It would be well for this to be used occasionally. We would say for three weeks (that is, after these applications suggested), leave off for three weeks, and then take again. Keep it especially through the cold or cool weather.
26. (Q) Toris Root Compound? (A) If this is a better aid for the eliminations, very good. This would be well to be repeated, say, every two or three months. The SERUTAN, as we find, would be found to be better active for weight and as a filler, with less of a strain upon other organs of the system.
27. (Q) What should be my hobby? (A) This will depend much upon the attitudes of the body towards its purposes and intents. As we find, such as pyrex, or the carving, or things of that nature would be more in keeping with an outlet in this direction.
28. (Q) Would it be well for me to build a home at this time, and would Virginia Beach Boulevard be a good location? If not, where would be the best location and the proper time? (A) As we find, and as indicated, the early spring is the better time for consideration of same. The Virginia Beach Boulevard is an excellent way, or place, for not only an investment but for an environment also.
29. (Q) Why did my wife and I come in contact with each other at this time, and what experience do we have to work out together? [See 263-4 and 1467-3.] (A) This can better be analyzed (as to that to be worked
1467-6 Page 5
out) from paralleling the activities through other experiences in the earth. In the present, we find they are what might be said NECESSARY to one another, if each will use the best in each to stimulate the best in the other. Now this is something to be thought of, and not to be raked over one with another, nor let others interfere with same!
30. (Q) What experience in the past is referred to? (A) Read that given!
31. (Q) Please give us advice that will aid us in making our marriage a success in every way. (A) Analyze that which has just been given. Let each study to increase in the experience of the other that which is BEST within each. They each have their faults, they each have their virtues. As indicated, if they are in the present analyzed, if they are developed, stimulated to greater activity, their experiences may be a development for each. Know it is not that one depends upon the other, but as to how much help one is - as [1467] is, to stimulate the best in [263] or as to how much help [263] is, to stimulate the good that has been seen in each - which has drawn them together in love, in trust, in hope - yea, in God!
