1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [1467], present in this room, together with the physical conditions of the body, his present employment, the present world conditions, the investing of the money received from the sale of the automobile. You will go into these thoroughly, and give specific information, counsel and advice that may be easily understood by the body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, Mr. [1467]; this we have had before.
3. In the physical forces of the body we find conditions very good in most respects. As indicated, there are inclinations that from time to time indicate the need for checking up on same - as those tendencies which arise and have arisen from the unbalancing that existed for some time in the pelvic bone. This produced inclinations that from time to time tend to slip back, as it were; that is, in the general activity. Though the condition has been corrected to a great measure that caused this general unbalance, it tends to give such pressures in the lumbar and sacral as to causes a deflection of circulation through various portions of the body.
4. At times, as with the activities, it causes the disturbance with the lower extremities. This causes those conditions with the feet and ankles at times, when they become easily tired. And again we will find a deflection through this pressure upon the upper portion of the 9th dorsal, as to give a deflection through that circulation between liver and kidneys. And then, as a result from same, we have a disturbance when the body has an appetite that is not normal; at times there will be a lack of appetite and at others the desire for food and yet the tendency for this to upset the body.
5. Again we have the more direct result in the local conditions, which have been aided by those beneficial things
1467-15 Page 2
applied, as in the face, the teeth, the gums. And these affect, of course, the deflection from the activity of the thyroid, as related to the effect upon nails, skin, hair, and even the vision is at times involved.
6. If there is the occasional checking over by some good osteopath, that will relieve these tensions, we will find that not only will disturbances of this nature be prevented from arising but there will be more alertness in the mental reactions of the body. For, with such conditions, at various times they produce such a slowing of the circulation as to cause the form of toxic forces that affects the mental reaction. Not that there is produced a mental aberration, nor a mental disturbance, but the inability to recall, or to react to those things the body desires to remember - and it becomes rather "O well, let it go," when there is still that within self crying out for the ability to recall.
7. These are the effects of pressures along the spine. Not that there are those subluxations to a great extent as there have been, but the creation of such lymph pocket pressures, carrying the circulation and poisons, as to cause these deflections from ganglia along the spine.
8. Then, we would take two or three treatments - these possibly in a week or ten days, or three in ten days, say - then it may not be necessary for one again for another two months, unless there is the recurrence of some of those indications so that these conditions arise again.
9. And in the diet have more of those things that carry iodine. Not that we would take more, but we would have such as shell fish, sea foods and the like, more often. These, with the stimulation of the occasional treatments, will cause the better activity; not to take the place of foods, you see, but the foods themselves, which will cause better growth of hair, better activity of the glandular forces, better conditions in the extremities throughout, and make for better conditions throughout the body.
10. In consideration of those activities regarding the associations and environments:
11. As we find, it would be well to continue to question as to the payment of salary due from overtime; and the better source is through the investigations - and unless these are brought to a head in the near future, time will have elapsed and thus the necessity of its being given consideration in the earliest possible time, else time will have passed so that - in this State - it will be "out of time" see?
12. Then, when these have been satisfied, or when there has been the satisfaction of knowing that it is going to be cared for or changed - if the body desires changes, now, in
1467-15 Page 3
its activity, consider work in either the navy environs or in ANY channels that appeal to the body in a service towards any defense work. This would not be until there has been the satisfying of self as respecting pay due the body. This, then, will have to be between now and the first of the year.
13. As to the environments - we find it would be well to consider the selection either of lots or a home. If the lot, then have sufficient acreage - not so much as to take the whole amount, but sufficient that it may be improved by the body during those periods that it would wait for the possibility of building.
14. If there is the selection of a home, have same in such an environ where the profits from same would enable the body to meet payments on same; thus keeping as an investment.
15. In making these - it would be best handled through a Federal Reserve, or as a Mutual Savings. These are the better channels for the handling of such.
16. These, as we find, are the better manners for the body in the present.
17. Ready for questions.
18. (Q) What is cause and cure for the falling hair? (A) As indicated, this is a disturbance in the circulation, a lack of activity in the glandular system, especially as related to the thyroid. The osteopathic corrections, with more iodine in the foods taken, should correct this. Keep, occasionally, a good stiff massage with the Fitch's cleansing solution or shampoo, and the oils - Quinoil, see?
19. (Q) Is Sal Hepatica the best laxative for my body now? (A) Taken as a laxative, and thus when there is the need for flushing use the same in greater amount. This we find best for the body, especially as long as the body works so much in paints and oils.
20. (Q) What is cause and relief for gritting my teeth when asleep? (A) This is contraction of the nerves of the body. Better coordination produced in those areas from the 9th dorsal to the upper cervicals will relieve these tensions.
21. (Q) If it is better for me to buy a piece of land instead of a home, please suggest the exact location. (A) This had best be the choice of self. As we find, the better investment - as just indicated - is the selection of a home; not to live in but as an investment, and let the rent of same be almost sufficient to take care of the payments, see? Then the upkeep of same may be tended to by self, and it would be a continuous investment.

If there is the greater desire to build the own home, (and this must be answered within self and the associations - Don't think of just self, for there are others to be considered also), select either site chosen upon some outlying district that makes for the improvements increasing the value of the lands as time goes on. But the home, wherever it may be selected, make it as an investment, not to live in during the present conditions.
22. (Q) Is C. A. Rice of the Interstate Commerce Commission the one I should write to, to push the collection for the back pay? (A) Unless it is handled through such, or the investigation is made by such, it has been so set that little may be accomplished. But through this channel it CAN be settled amicably and satisfactorily, and to the advantage of all concerned. But it must be done before the first of the year.
23. (Q) Could a formula be given me for my line of work, to remove paint more easily from trucks? (A) We do not have one here, as associated with the mind or body - we may find one. (Pause) We don't find one here - in the present.
24. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (See extra sheet [which was enclosed] for Dr. Irvin. See extra notations [which were enclosed] for Mr. Rice [Claude A. Rice].) ce].)
