Time of Reading 3:35 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Entity, [1468] - who seeks detailed information concerning her Jerusalem or Judean land sojourn as Mariaerh, covering her biographical life, work and associations throughout that experience, from the entity's entrance to her departure. You will also give the developing or retarding associations and influences of that plane which bear on the present life, and how they may be best used in the present experience for the entity's highest development and service. You will then answer the questions she will submit, as I ask them, concerning her present life associations.)

1. EC: Yes - again we have the records here of that entity now called [1468]; and those experiences of the entity as Mariaerh, in the hill country, and in and about Jerusalem and the activities during that sojourn.

2. We find that the entering, or the growing up of the entity was during that period of the ministry and that life experience of the Master in the earth.

3. The entity then entered during those experiences - as would be called in the variations of the records - some period before time was recorded from the calendar as established by first those in Carmel, and then in Caesarea and Jerusalem and the ages or eras of the first, second and fourth century were gradually accepted by the many - and now as the records in the earth.

4. Then we find the entity grew up in the hill country of Judea, nigh unto those places where Elizabeth and Zacharias had lived; Zacharias becoming as it were the first of the martyrs, Elizabeth remaining in the land of the hill country.

5. There the entity was brought up and taught, and the entity was acquainted in its very early years with the visiting of John by the young man - just before the ministry began - who in his return was called Jesus.

6. The entity's parentage were of the Jewish peoples and those that were disturbed or had been a remnant or a portion

1468-2 Page 2

of the Galilean peoples.

7. Hence in the entity's experience there was not a great deal of the strictly orthodox Jewish activity, nor strictly orthodox activity of those that were of that separate people - or the Samaritans.

8. Hence we find the entity only came to Jerusalem, at the age of accountability, according to women, in about its fourteenth year; to be recorded, or polled, as to those that were of marriageable age, or taxable, or for the whole consideration both from the Jewish and the Roman associations or requirements for the poll or taxation.

9. Hence it was during the entity's first visit with its own parentage and Elizabeth and the older peoples that the entity was in Jerusalem, or came to Jerusalem, when the Master - Jesus - came for that period when there was the triumphal-entry from Bethany into Jerusalem.

10. That was the period when the entity first heard of or was fully acquainted with the happenings in Bethany, or the raising of Lazarus and the activities, influences and associations associated with same.

11. Hence we find the entity was an early acquaintance with many of those that were associated during those periods, as were later called the Holy Women - that stood about the sepulchre, about the Cross, that made preparations for the burial or the activities regarding same.

12. And all of these became as parts of the experiences of the entity.

13. And in the application of same, as has been indicated, if the entity will meditate deeply there may be brought into the experience much of that vision - as may be written as a description by the entity - of the road from Bethany to the temple, or to Jerusalem.

14. For as it was an experience in the entity's activities during that sojourn in which there was first the hearing, then the experiencing, then the conversion and activity, these are innate, these are a portion, these may become full experiences of the entity.

15. If there is the attempt upon the part of the entity to make application of that in the experience which brought about the same experiences during the latter portions of its activities, there may be aroused those feelings in which the entity may picture, may depict, may paint in words, not merely the triumphal entry but the humbleness - yet the graciousness, the glory, the dignity of the Man, who - with His disciples - waited among friends that from the material angle sought that He not expose the physical Man to danger. And yet as He preached, or as He counseled, He gave that

1468-2 Page 3

indeed for that purpose came He into the world, and as a man must stand forth for what had been the purposes for His entrance.

16. And the entity, Mariaerh, caught that concept of how each soul must in each experience live as the grain of wheat, as the grain of mustard, as the seeds of every nature; fulfilling that purpose for which it enters into an experience in a sojourn irrespective of self's individual or personal desires, letting the personality of self be lost in the individuality of the Christ-purpose as He so magnificently gave in that way from Bethany to Jerusalem!

17. As to the entity's experience after same, we find there soon followed the historical events of the arrest, the trial and the Crucifixion; and those days followed - and then those periods when the entity remained in and about Bethany and the areas about same.

18. Then, fifty days later when there was again the Pentecostal activity, when all of the gatherings were in Jerusalem and there were the many of many lands and of many tongues that were brought to conviction by the teachings of the disciples or Apostles, and especially in that memorial one of Peter's on the day of Pentecost, we find the entity was among the first TEN that were baptized on that day.

19. Then when there was the selection of those that were to act in the capacity of the ministers, or the deacons for the ministering to the peoples, when all their material belongings had become as a part of the disciples' or Apostles' and they were all with one accord together, the entity heard much of those activities of Philip and Peter, but became closer associated with one Lucius - a kinsman of Luke. And Lucius is the entity now through whom this information is being given. [GD's note: Edgar Cayce - [294]. See 254-85, Par. 5-A, 4/12/35 saying Jesus called him Lucius.]

20. Hence the activities and associations of the entity with Lucius became as those close activities for the founding of the ministry, the missionary activities, the influences that brought about the establishing of many portions of the Church during that early ministry of not only the disciples or Apostles but those early ministers of the Church; as Mark and Luke and Lucius and all of those - Thaddeus and Saul or Paul and Barnabas, and those of Laodicea.

21. For it was there that the entity went with Lucius when there was the establishings of the Church there; when Paul preached in Laodicea.

22. For these were a portion of the kinsmen of the people

from the Roman land. And there the entity ministered as the helpmeet or the wife of Lucius for those early peoples of the church there.

23. There the entity spent the rest of its days, living to those periods when there were the - [GD's note: EC SNEEZED and stopped in the middle of the sentence. We'll finish it in another reading later. There's enough to think about for the present; very startling information for us, too.]
