1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1468].
2. Now as we find, there are some disturbances that prevent the better normal - or perfectly normal - functioning.
3. These, in taking or making a purely pathological analysis, may appear to be of minor importance in the present; but these as we find at times become very aggravating to the better physical forces of the system.
4. And this is not to indicate that these are not having a pathological effect. Though they are psychological in their reaction, they are pathological in the disturbance - as well as to the effect that occurs.
5. Then, as we find, these are the effects that are created or brought about in the nervous system through reactions in the glandular forces of the body; as may be indicated in giving the disturbances as we find them here.
6. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [1468] we are speaking of, present in this room:
7. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, here we find a nominal reaction, though not always normal in the manner in which there is the response of the circulation as related to the lymph and the emunctory activities through the system.
8. Hence as we find, as indicated in the superficial circulation - about the throat, the head, as well as in portions of the body or torso - at times there is the feeling as of portions of same taking on an aching, as it were, by suppression or suppressed activity.
9. These as we find are reflexes, to be sure, that occur from conditions as related to the conditions in other portions of the body itself.
10. In this reaction in the blood stream, as related to that coordination between the superficial and deep circulation, these as we find disturb the katabolism rather than the
1468-5 Page 2
metabolism of the system.
11. Thus we find there are periods when after such a reaction there is the indication or the tendency for the upsetting of bodily or physical eliminations through the system; affecting either or both the upper and the lower hepatic circulation.
12. IN THE NERVE SYSTEMS OF THE BODY, here again we find, as we have indicated, a reflex as well as a portion of the cause of the disturbances.
13. These, of course, are being approached, now, from the purely physical angle; though the reactions in the nerve forces as related to the sympathetic system become the ones more aggravated at times.
14. As there is a disturbance, as indicated, between the superficial and the deep circulation or central circulation, we find there are pressures indicated which, combined with an unbalancing of the chemical reaction in the system, tend to aggravate the disturbance rather than to cause the ordinary reactions to respond or to remove the disturbing factors in the system.
15. While the pressures in the cerebrospinal nervous system are of such natures as to cause reactions in the sympathetic nervous system, we find that there have not been formed particular or specific or deep lesions, either of a circular or a central location - but of a lateral nature.
16. So, rather than with a mechanical adjustment, we would remove such pressures by an occasional massage, as from a hydrotherapist; and this, with specific exercises, SHOULD remove the causes of the disturbance - which as we find are between the shoulders and the lower portion of the 9th dorsal center, thus affecting the solar plexus reaction and the vagus center reaction - or to the thyroid area, about the throat, to the back of the head, to the glands through the activity of the pressures upon the medulla oblongata, as well as to the centers through the third or central eye - or to the pituitary glandular center.
17. These reactions as we find, other than from the pressures indicated in the purely mechanical or structural portions as arise, are in sympathy with the lack of sufficient calcium in the system to use the natural energies of the body without producing the reactions as indicated through the nerve forces of the system.
18. In other words, under less extenuating circumstances, or under the normal mental balances, we find that strength or vitality is indicted; but when there are periods of rest or relaxation the reactions of the nature indicated fail to remove, through the very disturbance in the lymph and the
1468-5 Page 3
emunctory activities.
19. AS TO THE EFFECTS OF THESE UPON THE ORGANS AND THE GLANDULAR SYSTEM OF THE BODY, as is understood by the body, there is the physical, the mental, the spiritual. All are one, but with their attributes have their activity through the one or the individual entity or body.
20. The spiritual arises from the centers in the Lyden or leaden [Leydig or Leydigian] glandular forces that are as hidden energies, or the very nature of the creative or reproductive forces. There are the abilities of each center, each gland, each atom to reproduce itself within the body - which is the very nature of glandular reaction.
21. Thus the abilities are disseminated throughout the entire system, but have their physical reaction in those portions of the body in which there is the more direct connection - or considered to be - between mental reactions and physical activities of the body itself.
22. Hence as we find here, the effects are from the solar plexus center, as indicated from a pressure in the lower portion of the 9th dorsal area, with their natural reflexes upon the lumbar axis and the organs of the pelvis and the glandular center to the adrenals, as well as to the lower end of the pineal - that operate with the sympathetic system.
23. Through these areas, then, owing to the lack of this normal functioning or flow, we find the ability as it were to close the activities of the centers along the spinal system; giving a heaviness through the abdominal area, or more specifically through the umbilicus plexus - so that there is a heaviness there.
24. At such times this extends to make for reactions in the assimilating system. Thus the lack of the desire for eating, the lack of the desire for companionship, the lack of the desire for activities that would require the mental reactions in the system become the PHYSICAL expression of same, as well as the heaviness that is indicated through the portions of the area.
25. If the pulsations were taken at such times, it would be found that the heart activity is below normal but quickening in the pulse itself, and an increase in the flow of the blood stream from liver and heart and lungs, WITHOUT the full circulation between the upper and the lower hepatic circulation or through the kidneys.
26. At such times there is a reaction to the kidneys and bladder as to make either for an infrequent or an ever frequent activity of same. This depends upon the expressions of same.
1468-5 Page 4
27. The fullness in the throat or about the thyroid is as a calling upon same for the production of those energies lacking in potash or in the manner of expression in the free activity of calcium for the construction through the system.
28. This in return calls upon the structural physical body through which the creation of cellular force, or the corpuscle body itself emanates - by its activity of the protoplasm of cellular forces in itself, or the lymph and emunctory activities.
29. The arms at such times become as it were leadened; the limbs and the lower portions of the body become as it were a drag to the body. For it is from the structural portions, or from the very marrow as it may be said of the bone itself that such are activative in the body.
30. In the activities of the glands for assimilation - as the glands through the body have become affected, then if the body eats or uses the activities of the digestive forces they seem to repel or to call upon the body in such a way and manner that assimilation does not take place.
31. Then the headaches, a pressure on top of the head occurs from such a reaction.
32. All of these become a portion of the general disturbance in the system.
33. These, as we have indicated, may sound a great deal more than a pathological reaction would indicate; yet psychologically as well as pathologically there are these PHYSICAL reactions.
34. THEN, AS TO WHAT MAY BE DONE ABOUT SAME, TO REMOVE THE DISTURBANCES THAT ARISE - as in the soft tissue of the face, in the antrum, even in portions of the soft tissue back of ear, through the activity of a portion of the thyroids, the thymus, the adrenals and the activities of all glandular forces:
35. As we have indicted, the lack of the proper activity is caused from the pressures, as combined with a lack of those properties to keep the even balance between the alkalinity and acidity; not of the nature as ordinarily termed, but that of calcium and potash - or the effects of these.
36. Then we would add, first:
37. Once or twice a month have a good HYDROTHERAPY treatment; that is, so that there is a thorough relaxing of the body by hot and cold water. These will act upon the body in such a way and manner as to stimulate response through the better coordination of the lymph and emunctory circulation.
38. Also at such periods we would have the general massage, or masseuse application, and especially in the areas between
1468-5 Page 5
the shoulders - base of brain and between the shoulders, across the 9th dorsal and especially through the lumbar and sacral areas.
39. No special corrections would be made by moving segments, but rather the muscular reaction; with the varied effect that hot and cold has upon not only the superficial but the muscular reaction of the structural portion of the body.
40. We would take calcium in such a form that it will be easily assimilated. As we find, in Calcios the greater quantity may be easily assimilated. About once a day, take about as much as would be used to butter a good-sized cracker or a double wafer. Whether this is taken with white bread or brown bread would depend upon the appetite or the taste of the body. This much would be taken once each day, preferably of evening - or when the body has at least an hour to two hours to rest AFTER eating such.
41. Take the Calcios, and keep a well-balanced diet in other directions - especially of vegetables, fruits, nuts, and things of that nature. The leafy as well as the bulbular vegetables are well. Meats - only occasionally; preferably, when taken - if taken - fowl, fish or lamb. Do not combine great quantities of starches with large quantities of sweets, or fats; but portions of these are well to be taken.
42. Then the exercises: As we find, from the very nature of the activities of the body from which the distresses arise, there needs to be the motion of the nature that will keep from increasing the muscular forces or fats about the abdomen, as well as from the structural portions in the brachial or the rib area - or vagus center area of the upper part of the body.
43. Hence, with the hands on the floor, the feet braced against a wall, circle the body up, down, and around - once or twice. Take this until the strength of the body will allow two, three, four to five minutes of such activity. It is one of the very BEST exercises.
44. Then, seated upon the floor - the feet straight ahead, use the muscular forces of the arms as the body would move or stretch like a cat or a tiger; moving the limbs back and forward as they arise in activity.
45. These will bring for the body the near to normal conditions.
46. As we find, the morning would be better for the circular motion of the torso; the evening would be better for the stretching or crawling exercise on floor.
47. The mental attitudes of the body - as is understood - have much to do not only with the emotions but with the glandular reaction; but the system purified, keeping in
1468-5 Page 6
accord, we will find we will bring conditions in which there may be better mental and physical relaxation; quicker recuperation, lack of the heaviness or fullness that appears.
48. Ready for questions.
49. (Q) Is swimming good for me as an exercise? (A) Most excellent!
50. (Q) Are my teeth now alright and is the bridgework made by the dentist as good as possible or can it still be improved upon? (A) For the present it is very well. With the addition of the Calcios for the system, we will gradually find there may be an improvement made in portions of these - as conditions clear.
51. (Q) Does coffee and the great quantity of grapefruit juice that I drink hurt me? (A) Grapefruit juice is most excellent for the body. As often as possible have it FRESH, and we will find it much improved. Coffee in moderation is a food - if taken properly.
52. (Q) Are my sinus, antrums and tonsils alright? (A) As indicated, all of these at times suffer - or have suffered under the disturbance and distresses. But with the exercise, with especially the addition in the diet, and the physical activities indicated, all of these conditions should clear.
53. (Q) What can I do for my nerves and to overcome tenseness? (A) Take those things as we have indicated. For as outlined, when we supply the food values that with their assimilation supply the necessary - we would say - elasticity to the nerve reactions, we will find these conditions materially improved. Do that.
54. (Q) Where would you suggest would be the better place for me to go for the hydrotherapy treatments? (A) Berg's or Reilly's.
55. (Q) Is it bad for me to take alcohol in any form? (A) This occasionally is not overhard, but with the preparations of the body for the developments of the mental and spiritual forces, keep the OWN balance.
56. (Q) Any further advice? (A) Much might be said; but for the physical and for the reactions of the mental and spiritual, do these - and we will keep a more perfect balance throughout the body.
57. We are through for the present.
