... Hotel, Time of Reading ... Ave., 11:00 to 11:40 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Entity. You will consider the information given this entity on his life record on Nov. 4th, 1937, and also the deeper interest and understanding expressed by the entity since that time. You will give him now such further information on his life records as will help him to meet the circumstances and conditions arising now in his life. Especially answer the questions he has submitted, as I ask them.)
1. EC: Yes - we have the desires and purposes of the entity, Mr. [1470], and the information that has been given respecting the life experiences of this entity, and the influence of the applications of same upon the present experience.
2. In giving that as we find that may be helpful or constructive in the experience of the entity in the present, again we would point out to the entity that these purposes, these desires to fulfill that for which the entity came into this experience should be the greater burden of purpose and desire.
3. In the fulfilling of same, the causes - yea, and the beginnings and ends - will be found within one's own self.
4. For there the spirit may commune with the All and become more and more aware OF its oneness with the Creative Force or God.
5. Then analyze self. What is thy desire, physically, mentally, spiritually?
6. Then what is thy ideal as respecting same? Is it set in that which is to be the gratifying of self's purposes as to position, fame, fortune or what not? or is it set in that as ye know, as ye have experienced, that all of these unless directed and prompted by the Spirit of Truth can but come to naught!
7. But if the ideal is prompted by Truth, no matter what may
1470-2 Page 2
be the outward appearance, the assurance of filling and fulfilling the purpose for which the entity seeks expression in this experience in every PHASE of its consciousness, it will bring contentment, peace, harmony and the like.
8. And unless it does bring that, know that error lies at thy door.
9. Just as considering those experiences in the present that would change the whole environs of the body, of the MIND - yea, change the whole purposes of the entity in the present.
10. Yet these as material obligations, as material desires, are burdening the consciousness; not bringing satisfaction, not bringing contentment.
11. For when contentment is apparent, then there will be that peace which comes with that as may be so well expressed and manifested in an individual entity; not only giving voice to same but living in the daily experience, "Not my will but Thine, O God, be done in and through me."
12. That as the criterion, that as the standard brings peace that passeth understanding.
13. If thy choice then is that these changes are to be for the betterment - if the obligations are such that there is the consciousness that it must be consummated, must be fulfilled within thy experience - then to fail would be to belittle thine own self in thine own eyes and to become sorry, and to become self-condemning, and to become in the nature of one already condemned within thine own self.
14. But as is ever true; today, now is set before thee good and evil, life and death - choose thou.
15. That man has been endowed with free-will, free-choice, is his birthright. Do not cast it aside, nor sell it for the gratifying of any material thing in thy experience that is merely passing.
16. For life is eternal, it is a growth, it is the consciousness of being at an at-onement with Creative Forces.
17. And unless the choice is creative, that is founded in SPIRITUALITY - the fruits of the Spirit - it must become as dross.
18. But the CHOICE must be within thine OWN self.
19. The ways may be set before thee - the CHOICES must be TAKEN of thine own consciousness. Being aware of what ye would that the Lord would do with thee, what THOU would do with the opportunities, the privileges He hath bestowed upon thee as one of His children.
20. And know within self, as ye do it unto the least of thy brethren, His children, ye do unto thy Maker.
21. This applies in thy dealings, whether they be purely
1470-2 Page 3
material, mental or spiritual. For they are one.
22. MIND is the builder. And as it flows through the physical and the spiritual self, it takes hold upon that ye cultivate in thy experiences. For ye grow in grace and in knowledge, and in understanding, by cultivating in thy consciousness the awareness of whether it is thy own indulgences, thy own purposes ye are cultivating, or that purpose the Lord thy God hath for and with thee.
23. The shortcomings - yea, and the virtues - have been pointed out to thee, in thy ways before the children of men in thy experiences through the earth; as to the influences by the astrological sojourns or DIGESTING of thy purposes in the interims between thy manifestations of same in the earth.
24. And today, now, yea continuously, ye meet thyself.
25. But He hath promised, He is sure, if and WHEN ye CALL, "I will HEAR," saith the Lord, saith the Best, saith the God-consciousness within.
26. Have ye called? or are ye content or satisfied to depend upon others to do thy thinking, others to pass thy judgements, others to direct?
27. For He hath said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
28. Then, consecrate thyself. Put on the whole armor of the Lord. STAND before Him with that conviction, that sincerity of purpose, "HERE AM I, LORD! USE ME - SEND ME."
29. Ready for questions.
30. (Q) Why has my marriage to the entity now known as [...] been blocked each time it has been planned? (A) There is a resentment within self, and this - as has just been indicated - must be cleared before choices or a decision may be reached. It MUST be upon the basis of whether or not there would come the fruits of love, of patience, of kindness. The choice must be made upon that basis. And the CHOICE must be within the self. Weigh all phases. See, know - ASK and ye shall receive from WITHIN!
31. (Q) Have I known the entity now known as [...] in any other incarnation, and if so what was the relationship? (A) This, as we have indicated, is an entity that has been known; but this may best be found by comparison from the two Life Readings - rather than from the one.
32. (Q) What will be the effect on my life of this marriage to [...]?
1470-2 Page 4
(A) What wilt thou ALLOW it to become? This depends; and as has been, as we see, paralleled for the entity - upon the choices. If such could or would be picturized for the entity, would it have been that the Father would have said, "I repent that I have ever made man"? Man and woman are free-willed. What will ye MAKE OF such an association? If ye choose the right - contentment, happiness and joy. If it is for self and the glorification and magnification of self - inharmony, distrust, turmoils and strife. The law is before thee - and it is SURE!
33. (Q) What effect will my marriage have upon my relationship with the entity known as [1472]? (A) Again the same is applicable in the experience. What will ye do with thy opportunities? What will ye do with thy problems? What will ye do WITH that influence within which would lead, direct and protect? These are the answers as to what such would bring about.
34. (Q) Was my recent decision to open my own office a wise one? (A) Very well. If that same policy of constructive forces is held in the experiences of those with whom ye labor, as is held as thy policy and as thy way, WELL.
35. (Q) Should I move aggressively or slowly in my new business - and in what directions? (A) Aggressive, but slowly. Move surely in that ye render a SERVICE to those whom ye would serve. Who is the greatest among you? He that is the servant of all. He that has not merely the material but the WHOLE of an association, a corporation, in mind - as to whom it serves, as to what it serves, and how. And unless there is service for service, not long can it materially or mentally succeed.
36. (Q) In what directions should I move? (A) Just as has been indicated, keep those policies, preparing those influences, those associations that best serve - ANY of those - for whom the entity would make associations or connections, or prepare programs or what not; so that it is indeed a constructive thing.
37. (Q) What companies are now open to approach by me for radio programs? (A) ALL that are in the market for a constructive service.
38. (Q) Should I take an office of my own the first of
1470-2 Page 5
March or stay where I am? (A) This depends upon the outlook and what ye expect. Are ye satisfied to sit, or are ye seeking to find - in the activities - a greater way of being of service, of showing forth in thy activity the TRUTH that love and service conquer all in the name of Him who is the author of each? These, then, push forward. Expect much, demand much of self - and keep HIM as thy companion, as thy guide.
39. We are through.
