Time of Reading 3:50 to 4:20 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1472].

2. Now as we find, while there are many conditions that are very good, and there are resistances in the system sufficient to keep the physical and mental reactions such that the body may carry on, yet there are disturbing factors.

3. And if measures were taken for the removal of same, or the applications made during periods when these become more and more disturbing, we would find we might eliminate much of the distress and disturbance that is produced.

4. Thus we would give a much better physical reaction; and thus the opportunities of the mental and physical reaction would become better and better coordinant in their relationships.

5. These then are conditions as we find them with this body-physical, [1472] we are speaking of, present in this room:

6. First, in the blood supply we find there are indications of disturbing conditions through the system. Two very definite reactions are indicated; in the upper and lower portions of the circulation, or as related to the hepatics and the circulation through the sensory system.

7. From this we find there are periods or seasons when these disturbances become factors in bringing about dis-ease, rather than disease in the system, by the poor eliminations as related to all portions of the circulation.

8. Thus we will find that if there is produced a better coordination in same, we would bring about a much bettered condition.

9. The hindrances we find through the soft tissue, in the face, head, nasal passages - also as related to the throat at times - all become irritating.

10. These also are indicated in the activity of the lower hepatic circulation, or the overactivity of the kidneys in

1472-2 Page 2

attempting to eliminate things or conditions from the system which should be carried through other portions of the body.

11. A part of this disturbance in the lower hepatics arises from the effect of a character of scar tissue through abdominal areas, so that under certain cycles of activity - when there is not the activity through the superficial circulation as there should be - there is a drain or a heaviness.

12. Thus we find not only an organic but a functional disturbance of the kidneys, or lower hepatic circulation, and at times irritation through the excess amounts of acidity - or of the uric acid that produces an irritation to the bladder, and even to the clitoris - or those irritations in these portions of the system.

13. The effect of these conditions, notably the flow of circulation through the lymph activity in the torso or the trunk portion of body, causes pressures upon the nervous system; so that at times the body becomes easily tired, there is a DRAIN upon the system as it were producing irritability - when it is not the MENTAL desire nor of the consciousness of the body that it is irritated, but the reactions are to become irritated with same for not doing this or that, or not being able to think or act as the body itself desires.

14. Hence we find these irritations or pressures coming through the coordinating of the sympathetic or vegetative nerve system to coordinant activities of the system itself; internally, or deep circulation.

15. Hence the tiredness that comes between the shoulders at times, the head and the neck, and the heaviness through the lumbar and through the lower portion of the abdomen; at times extending itself to the lower limbs, so that the lower extremities become a part of disturbing activities.

16. These then as we find become the conditions. If these were eliminated, and the causes, and the better conditions set up in the circulation, the better eliminations reacting, and then the cooperation and coordination of the eliminating systems as one to another, we would bring better physical reactions to this body, [1472].

17. Then, we would find these as the applications for same:

18. First, we would use the Fume Baths, such as may be had by the use of Atomidine (or Tincture of Iodine), Oil of Wintergreen and Pine Oil. Use these properties alternately; one time the Atomidine (or Iodine), the next time the Oil of Wintergreen, the next time the Pine Oil - a tablespoonful in the pint of water for the Fume Bath, in the Fume Cabinet that allows the fumes to settle over the body, see? We

1472-2 Page 3

would have such Fume Baths once or twice a week, or they may be oftener or farther apart - or when this heaviness or tiredness occurs, or when there are disturbances through portions of the system.

19. The activities of these Fumes are to produce a heat and stimulate a superficial circulation that helps to carry off the poisons and thus reduce the pressures and the activities to the nasal passages, the antrum and the soft tissue in face, as well as in the rest of the body.

20. Of course, take a thorough rub after same in tepid water, and then an alcohol rub preferably. All of this may be done by self, if so desired, by using a Cabinet Gown such as made by Berg. But take the TIME to carry through ALL of same. The Bath or the Fume will be found to require about twenty to twenty-five minutes, then there should be at least an equal length of time taken in sponging and massaging the body, all over, downward, and most of the strokes over all the body, especially between the shoulders, with very heavy towels so as to produce stimulation - not irritation - but rather a glow to the body.

21. Such Fume Baths are much preferable to those as may be had in the regular Hydrotherapy Sweats.

22. Use occasionally the Radio-Active Appliance, which creates an equal balance through the system. This would be used for thirty minutes each day for periods of two to three weeks, left off for a period of a week to two weeks and then begun again; or it may be used oftener if there are those periods of fatigue or heaviness, or the tendency for the activity of cold or congestion to produce greater quantities of irritation. For these Fume Baths are not weakening on the system as the Hydrotherapy Sweats would be, and may be taken every day or so if desired - but alternate the properties for the fumes in the manner indicated.

23. When there are the disturbances from the bladder or the kidney, or the irritations in these, we would occasionally take a little Watermelon Seed Tea. Prepare same by self in this manner. Put a tablespoonful of crushed or ground seed in a pint of water just as ordinary tea would be made, and let steep or stand for fifteen to twenty minutes. Then strain off and drink this as a tea; a couple of ounces of same. This may be saved for the next day, and another couple of ounces taken. Then leave off for a period until needed again.

24. If these are followed, we will find we will bring for this body the better conditions. And alleviating the disturbances in this manner is much preferable to taking internal medical activities, either of the vegetable or

1472-2 Page 4

mineral reactions.

25. In the diet, keep precautions as to those things that are not too much of starches; nor combinations that produce gas or acidity for the system. Do not ever combine such starches as white bread, white potatoes, spaghetti and cheese or the like - any two of these at the same meal. Do not eat fried foods at all. Have a portion of one meal each day to consist of raw vegetables; not the whole meal but a portion of same, combining in such a salad as many of the fresh raw vegetables as may be had that are PURIFYING to the blood stream yet that will agree with the system. Some of these will be found to at times disagree; then leave these off until there has been a better readjustment through the activities of these influences upon the body-forces.

26. Keep constructive, ever, and we will bring the near to normal reactions for this body.

27. Ready for questions.

28. (Q) Does death instantly end all feeling in the physical body? If not, how long can it feel? (A) This would be such a problem; dependent upon the character of which unconsciousness is produced to the physical reaction - or the manner in which the consciousness has been trained. Death - as commonly spoken of - is only passing through God's other door. That there is continued consciousness is evidenced, ever, by the associations of influences, the abilities of entities to project or to make those impressions upon the consciousness of sensitives or the like. As to how long - many an individual has remained in that called death for what ye call YEARS without realizing it was dead! The feelings, the desires for what ye call appetites are changed, or not aware at all. The ability to communicate is that which usually disturbs or worries others. Then, as to say how long - that depends upon the entity. For as has been given, the psychic forces of an entity are CONSTANTLY active - whether the soul-entity is aware of same or not. Hence as has been the experience of many, these become as individual as individualities or personalities are themselves.

29. (Q) If cremated, would the body feel it? (A) What body?

1472-2 Page 5

The physical body is not the consciousness. The consciousness of the physical body is a separate thing. There is the mental body, the physical body, the spiritual body. As has so oft been given, what is the builder? MIND! Can you burn or cremate a mind? Can you destroy the physical body? Yes, easily. To be absent (what is absent?) from the body is to be present with the Lord, or the universal consciousness, or the ideal. Absent from what? What absent? Physical consciousness, yes. As to how long it requires to lose physical consciousness depends upon how great are the APPETITES and desires of a physical body!

30. (Q) What can I do to revitalize my nervous system? (A) Use that reionizer, the Radio-Active Appliance, as has been given. This REVITALIZES the system throughout! For it coordinates impulses. As the cycle of impulse through the system flows through same, the Appliance, it is that which aids the vitality or vibratory forces of the body to be renewed or to coordinate and cooperate. Hence at such periods that this Appliance is used, we would use the same periods for the deep meditation. And as the Mind is the Builder, we will find that the revitalizing of the body will bring for the whole of the nervous system and also the whole regenerative system NEW LIFE, new energies awakened in same.

31. (Q) How can I become rid of the following conditions: First, distressing dreams? (A) By attuning each portion of the system to a oneness of energy. By the meditation and coordination of the activities in the system. Dreams, visions, in the consciousness of a physical body, arise from three sources. Because the activities in this particular system allow the poor assimilations (because of the energies being disturbed as we have described), these act upon the bodily forces themselves so as to make for the harrowing experiences at times. Hence we have what in the reaction is the activity of the

1472-2 Page 6

principles of the foods, or that taken for such activity acts upon the imaginative forces or the spiritual forces as connect the material body; passing through the influences that are to be acted upon by the very vibrations of the body itself. Then there are those visions of the character to be sought, rather than rejected; as the experiences of the unconscious self or subconscious self that may come as warnings or as helpful experiences, or of that through which those influences acting about self become a part of self. Then the third character: those visions or experiences of the superconscious or soul-self. To rid self then of the distressing dreams is to coordinate all portions of the nervous system as combined with the activities of the assimilating and eliminating systems of this body. [See 7/26/39 letter under 1472-10 Reports in re continuing nightmares.]

32. (Q) Should head be included in the Cabinet recommended? (A) The head should NOT be in the Cabinet. If there are periods when those things given to be used DO NOT in their activity eliminate the head condition, or because of cold or congestion the head becomes clogged, then we would use an inhalant which we will give here. But if the Fume Baths are taken and the massage between the shoulders and the neck, and the rubdowns, with those properties used as indicated, these should prevent the body from taking cold; of course, with the equalization of the system established. But if there are the periods of reaction, which may occur - by the body getting the feet wet, or the body remaining in a draft, or leaving the head uncovered too much - we would use an inhalant prepared in this manner: To 4 ounces of Pure Grain Alcohol, in an 8 ounce container (preferably glass-stoppered), add - in the order named: Oil of Eucalyptus.................20 minims, Rectified Creosote.................3 minims, Compound Tincture of Benzoin......15 minims, Oil of Turp.......................10 minims, Tolu in Solution..................30 minims. Shake solution well, inhale through the nostrils - and

1472-2 Page 7

occasionally in the throat. This is a cleanser, you see, and also an allayer for irritated tissue in the mucous membranes of the head, the throat, the neck.

33. (Q) What should be done for the sinus infection? (A) All of this is just what we have been talking about! the mucous membranes of the face, the sinus, the soft tissues of the head, the face. All of the things indicated are for that very condition!

34. (Q) For fatigue and nervous exhaustion? (A) As given. The Fume Baths, sweats and rubs, and ESPECIALLY the Radio-Active Appliance for reionizing and revitalizing the system. Do as has been given, and we will find all of these disturbances being eliminated from the system. Circulate the attachments of the Appliance about the body in the ways and orders as indicated for its use; keeping the anodes clean. Restlessness, insomnia and irritation will disappear. Do not use any sedatives, whenever possible to eliminate.
