Time of Reading 11:15 to 11:35 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes.
2. Now as we find, conditions have been rather serious - and might easily turn into same in the present; yet there are improvements, or there is a turn toward the better.
3. And this taken advantage of, we find that the body may be restored to almost or entirely normal conditions for same.
4. There has been, and still exists, an incoordination between the glandular activity of the pancreas, spleen, and the gall duct activity with the adrenal activity of the body.
5. Hence the inflammation of the walls of the nerves themselves is causing a great deal of pain and a lapsing of activity physically and mentally.
6. Now as we find, with this allaying of the inflammation there has come rather the inability - in the reactions - for the complete control of the muscular forces, or the locomotories of the limbs, both upper and lower; and improper assimilations in the digestive forces of the body.
7. These then are all to be taken into consideration in suggestions for those forces as we find that may be helpful for this body in the present.
8. It becomes apparent that the excesses of poisons in tissue, in the functioning organs, must be eliminated without these becoming as a portion of detrimental forces to the functioning of the mental as well as the physical forces of the body.
9. Then as we find this would not require so much of internal applications as those that would make for a better reaction with the perspiratory and respiratory system, keeping the alimentary canal active but not straining or producing violent reactions through the gastric flow of the digestive forces of the body itself.
10. But using such diets, such measures, such applications as to produce - as it were - a better coordination, we may bring the better forces and influences for this body.

11. We would, then, give as these:
12. First we would have prepared, this: Lime Water............................1 ounce, Cinnamon Water........................1 ounce, 10% solution Iodide of Potassium.....15 minims, 10% solution Bromide of Potassium....35 minims.
13. The dose of this would be a teaspoonful, in a little water or just plain, about two hours apart; or give only when there is the inclination for nausea or for the pains across the abdominal area, or the violent aching along the back of the head or across the lower portion of the abdomen or spine. Shake the solution well before taking, and keep it preferably in a dark bottle - and tightly corked.
14. We would apply hot Castor Oil Packs across the lower portion of the abdomen; these to be given for periods of an hour at the time, changed about two or three times during that period. Then rest for about six to eight hours, then use again. Let these Packs extend across the liver and the spleen area, and downward over the lower portion of the abdomen. Let them be just as hot as the body can bear same without burning.
15. Following these have an enema to assist in cleansing the colon, and draining from the system poisons or accumulations by the attempts to eliminate the poisons from the system from this inflammation that has existed.
16. Then on the second or third day, or when there is a little more strength gained, give the body a Cabinet Bath - preferably that in which there may be used the Fumes and not heating the body so much. Such a Bath as from using the Fume Gown, or Cabinet Gown and vapor cup with Tincture of Iodine - a tablespoonful in a pint of water; and then a thorough rubdown after same. Do not give these too often, but they may be given each day if there is the strength, for these will assist in the eliminations - as combined with the internal forces to allow for the gaining of strength and the body-reactions such as to make for better coordination in the superficial and the deeper circulation.
17. It will be found well to use an equal combination of Olive Oil - no, rather just plain Olive Oil for massaging across the lower limbs and the circular motions about same. These properties will be absorbed in the body, of course, but on the next day or when the Fume Bath is given again, they will be driven in and drawn out in such a manner as to make for cleansings for the body.
18. In the matter of the diet, we would use rather the easily assimilated foods; liquids and semi-liquids

preferably. Especially use Beef Juices, Liver Juices; these taken as strengthening foods for the body. Not in gulps or large swallows, but sips of same often given will bring strength to the body and will be easily assimilated - especially if two or three periods of the Oil Packs are given, and the Fume Baths and Rubs.
19. Of course, citrus fruit juices; fruits of all natures that the body may assimilate. Eggs may be taken occasionally, but coddled rather than prepared in other ways - seasoned, of course, to suit the taste of the body. These all become a part of the better forces of the body.
20. Do these and, as we find, we may bring the better conditions for this body.
21. Ready for questions.
22. (Q) What causes the trouble with the throat, swallowing, voice, etc? (A) The inflammation of the mucous membranes, as indicated. Thus the necessity for eliminating the sources, which are - as we have given - the incoordination between those glandular reactions in pancreas, spleen, the liver and the ducts of the gall bladder and their activity. But the inflammation is produced, of course, with this inclination for combative forces with the adrenals' reaction.
23. (Q) Can these treatments be followed by the nurse, in the home? (A) As indicated, all of these applications are to be done by the nurse. Do these for the betterment, as we find.
24. We are through for the present. Copy to Miss [350] " " Ass'n file " " Sponsor
