Born July 20, 1872, in Jay, New York. Time of Reading 11:30 to 12:20 Noon - Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Life Reading Suggestion)
1. EC: (In going back over years from present - " - 1932 - '31 - some alterations in thought and activity - '30 - " etc., on back to birth date. Then, "Yes - what a beautiful record that has been made by the entity in this experience!")
2. We have the records here of that entity now known as or called [1487].
3. In giving the interpretations from the records as we find here, of this entity, the activities in the present experience would belie that as might have been or might be given from the purely astrological aspects - if the judgements are made according to those environs from the position of the planets, or of the astrological aspects only.
4. For the entity has made the experiences in the present purposeful, and it is the application of self in the direction or that as may be constructive in the experience of associations that brings about harmony and peace - yea, the very growth for the soul; which is the experience for which each entity enters a material sojourn.
5. Those activities in the material plane or in the earth become as emotions, or are the source of emotions as related to Creative Forces or energies; as well as in the activities in relationships to individuals or groups with whom the entity may be associated - or that portion as may be termed from material expression as the personality of the soul itself.
6. But those influences from the astrological aspects, or the sojourns of the entity in the planes about the earth - as ye call the planets, are to the innate or the intuitive forces of the entity.
7. While these are high, and the entity has a great deal of intuition, we find that much from the very aspects
1487-1 Page 2
astrologically - as indicated - has been altered.
8. Such influences as arise are merely urges. What one does about same, as in relationship to that set as the Creative or the God-Force in the experience, makes for that which brings developments or retardments in the experience - depending upon the choice.
9. And while there may not be in the experiences of many all of the social or the material successes as the world would count, remember - the judgements - God looketh upon the heart, while man looketh only on the outward appearance.
10. That there have been periods of discouragement in the activities of the entity during this sojourn is apparent from the application of self.
11. And while the entity at times may be called by others one rather set in its way, or one rather hardheaded at times respecting the activities in given directions, we find that the entity has made and does make CHOICES to which it adheres in very definite ways and manners.
12. And these, as has been indicated, have in most part in the present experience been for developments rather than for retardment in any manner or way.
13. In the astrological aspects, that are a portion of the innate forces as indicated, we find Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus as a portion of the entity's innate sojourn or activity.
14. Hence we find in the Mercurian experience the high mental abilities, and with keen judgements in many directions. OFT has the entity, as through the Uranian influence, been EXTREME - as has been indicated; but these have been tempered rather by periods of definite urges that have come into the affairs in the material, in the mental experiences of the entity.
15. For the entity has not always thought, in this experience, along the lines of the present thought or activity of the entity.
16. These then, as has been indicated, are rather the developing periods in the experience in the present.
17. As to the abilities in the entity from the astrological influences, we find:
18. The entity is one who may make choices, may make judgements as to what would be significant in the experience of individuals as groups, as masses. While the entity might not be termed by many as a definite leader, the entity is rather the COUNSELOR in its ability of expressions in the present.
19. Hence many that have not considered the judgements of the entity would have done much better to have considered
1487-1 Page 3
these more sincerely, more worthy than they have in some experiences.
20. In the application of the entity in its abilities in these directions, then, as we find; while they have surpassed the astrological aspects, urges remain; and we will find more definite directions from the sojourns through the earth.
21. As we find, these have not been so great in number, which would indicate rather that there have been and are periods of reaching the ultimate by the entity through material experiences.
22. Not that some of these material experiences have not been as trials, as would be judged from the earthly measures, even as tribulations; yet the entity in its abilities in patience has - from these tribulations, from the MENTAL forces in same - seen as it were a greater light, a greater peace come into the experience.
23. As to the sojourns in the earth, then, we find:
24. Before this (among those giving expression in the present) we find the entity was in the lands of the present nativity, during the early portions of that known as the American Revolution.
25. The entity then was among the first of those that pushed forward into what is now known as the Mohawk valley of the western portion of the entity's present sojourn.
26. Then the entity was known as Mary Issam; and during the experience the entity made for those activities in which there were hardships and trials through those activities of the early settlers in establishing themselves for activity in the new land for purposes.
27. Hence we find the entity often venturesome in associations socially, in associations mentally; yet the more often - by the very mental abilities - the entity knows very well what the attempt is, in self, as well as the desires and purposes for such venturous forces.
28. Particular urges that are received are: The love of the great outdoors, the beauty in nature, the beauty in GROWING things. And the entity's interests in such, the entity's ability to draw comparisons in such things that have to do with the rural natures and rural activities, even surpass much of that which it has attained or known as studies within itself.
29. These are innate by the very experiences through those particular periods.
30. Before that we find the entity was in what is now known as the Holy Land, or the Promised Land; during those periods when there were the preparations for - and the activities of
1487-1 Page 4
- the Master in the land.
31. The entity was among those that were of the hill country about the land of Bethlehem when there were the shepherds that heard the voices, the halleluiahs proclaiming to them the birth of their King, of their Savior.
32. The entity was aroused first by those very shouts of joy nigh unto the city or the town of Bethlehem; the entity then in the name Jocsice, though called Josie.
33. In the experience there came that great overshadowing desire within the entity to become attuned, as it were, to the heavenly song, the heavenly music, the vibrations as it were of the spheres when all nature proclaimed the joyous event into the experience of man!
34. The entity was timid, shy; keeping away from not only the activities of men but the associations of the gatherings in groups - yet stood oft far off.
35. But during those days when there was the walking, the treading, the activities of the Master and those of His followers through the land, the entity particularly became the better known to the followers and those who had been a part of those who proclaimed His coming, when the sermon on the mount was given.
36. For there the entity approached rather boldly for itself to ask the question, "Who then is blessed in thy sight? Who CAN - under the trials, turn the other cheek? Who can give love for hate?"
37. And the Master blessed Josie there.
38. Throughout the experiences of the entity then, as in the present - is it any wonder that there are the abilities of the entity to proclaim through its activities those same experiences? or in association with those that are in those keys, as it were, of making joyous noise unto the Lord, or of making known the emotions through song, that the entity may aid these in many ways? yet unseen, still that reserve; yet finding deep within self the patience, the love for the glories of the new-born unfoldment or experiences that may come to every soul that seeks to know the joys of a LIVING Lord!
39. In the application of self in the present experiences; those influences through that sojourn so overshadow others. Not that they become of the nature of a religious recluse, one that would set self away from activity of a social or even a political nature, but that the motivative influences and forces in the associations must be impelled by those truths, those tenets as were proclaimed by Him, the Master, that May day!
40. In the application of same the entity finds that in
1487-1 Page 5
service, and in doing something ABOUT that one professes or proclaims, is the way and manner in which greater knowledge or greater truth may come.
41. Before that we find the entity was in the land now known as the Persian or Arabian, in and about the 'city in the hills and the plains.'
42. The entity's activities were in ministering to those that came and sought physical aid, mental peace and spiritual understanding of the teachers in that particular period.
43. The entity was among the natives of the same tribes from which the leader or teacher had arisen. Thus the entity met many rebuffs by or from those of other lands, yet remained true - in its service and in its activity.
44. Hence we find the entity in the present finding an interest in those things that pertain to the care for specific conditions, in children, in the physical body, in the manner of the care for same; whether they be in hospitalization or places or lands wherein greater hope or help may come, the entity holds these things near and dear in its own experience.
45. The name then was Ishmaen.
46. The abilities of the entity from those experiences are found in the ability to convince, the ability to make judgements, the ability to counsel with those that may be in high places or they that are seeking to find themselves.
47. Before that we find the entity was in the land now called the Egyptian, during those periods when there were turmoils and strifes owing to the banishment, owing to the entertaining of ideas from many lands that proclaimed religious as well as commercial associations with other lands.
48. The entity was of the Native peoples that became active with the return of the Priest and the activities as set about in the correlating of the tenets from the Atlantean land, from the land of the Sun or from what is known as the Gobi land.
49. Then the entity was a leader in INTERPRETING the teachings, or what would be called in the present an interpreter for the speech of those from the Gobi land as well as those of the Atlantean or Poseidon land.
50. Hence as a teacher, as an aid to those that set those in places of position or authority in definite service, did the entity then - as She-Shu-Put - make for periods of material and soul development, periods of retrogression through allowing anger to become the expressions in its associations with others.
1487-1 Page 6
51. In the present from the sojourns then in the earth those things that pertain to the oriental become a part of the entity's experience, those things as pertain to activities in the early American periods; especially those natures that partake of or take hold on the early activities of the Christian faith.
52. As to the abilities, and that to which the entity may attain and how:
53. Let those tenets as He gave, that so moved thee to expression in the hills above thine own native land in the Judean experience, be HELD in this experience - and that they arouse in thine inner self in the present.
54. For these tenets are true; not to be lightly looked upon, nor as being that which may be the experience of the rabble - but as those experiences that may be lived by all.
55. For He IS the truth, and the life, and the way - and the approach to the Father is along that road as He gave in answer to thine own questions in that day - they that purpose in their hearts to know the Father may know His face as the light that leads their way, through all the trials of this material experience.
56. Ready for questions.
57. (Q) What should be my life work? (A) Encouragement to those, through EVERY channel, that are showing, are persuading, are directing men to seek to know the MASTER'S way!
58. (Q) Shall I ever again in earth life be associated with Edwin Markham? (A) As we find, this may come to pass - but only rather by the mental than the MATERIAL associations.
59. (Q) Will my biography of Edwin Markham be taken by publisher? (A) It should - it will.
60. (Q) Will my book of poems be taken by publisher? (A) These will be somewhat later, but these will be taken.
61. (Q) How may I clear up my financial troubles? (A) Leaning on Him. For the silver and the gold are the Lord's, and the way that leads to the more perfect understanding is to trust the more wholly in Him. Let this be as thy meditations, in thine own words but this as the thought: "LORD, THY SERVANT, THY HANDMAID, SEEKS EVER TO BE IN ACCORD; YEA, IN ATTUNE WITH THEE - AND THY PURPOSES THOU HAST FOR ME IN THIS EXPERIENCE AMONG THE CHILDREN OF MEN. "AS THOU HAST LOVED, THEN, AND GIVEN THYSELF A RANSOM FOR
1487-1 Page 7
THE MANY, WILT THOU IN THY LOVE GUIDE AND DIRECT IN THE WAY AS THOU HAST PROMISED? "FOR MY TRUST IS EVER IN THEE! LEAD ON, O LORD - LEAD THOU, O LORD, ON!"
