1. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as [1493].
2. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them, upon the skein of time and space they are written ever by the mental and the material application of what the entity does about the spiritual influences in its experience.
3. Man's associations ever are and ever have been such as to bring reactions, one with another, that demand, command that choices be made as to what the application of the ideal one holds towards another is to be.
4. If the constructive or creative forces are chosen, that are the manifestations of the Maker, the Creator, the Lord of the earth - yea, of the universe, then man chooses the way that builds into the consciousness the awareness of that godly approach to the Christ-Consciousness.
5. Those that choose for self that of fame, fortune or whatnot, that takes hold upon materiality alone, build that which becomes dross in the experience; and bring discomfort, disease, disturbance to the body and the mind, and - as it were shrivel or starve the soul.
6. Hence into man's consciousness there have been given signs, omens, signposts, as it were; in not only the manifestations through man's experiences within his higher mental self, as may be had from the astrological aspects - which are from sojourns of the entity in those environments between the periods of manifestation in the earth; but in those that arise as emotions through the material senses from the sojourns in the earth; and also the teachings, the warnings that are given here, there, from those who are as messengers from a living experience - or God.
1493-1 Page 2
7. Hence we find these in the experience of this entity:
8. Astrologically we find Venus with Jupiter in benevolent influences; Saturn as that which comes at times as a saving influence, at others as an opposition to that as would be in the experience of the entity.
9. Hence such influences bring changes that oft are doubts and fears when grown to fruition in the experience.
10. Neptune brings also comforts; not in material things, rather in the spiritual - and the inclinations produced in the experience of the entity as the emotions or interests in those things of a psychic or spiritual nature.
11. Here, psychic - in its interpretation - should be of the soul, and not of disincarnate entities.
12. We find such experiences are brought from these innate influences, that are signs or omens or directions; hence have nothing to do other than pointing the way. For while one may be influenced by such signs, the very will is that which makes for the choice itself - which is in its essence the gift of the Creator, that the soul might choose to be one with that which is everlasting; which is and can be only constructive, born of what may be truly said to be the fruits of the spirit of truth itself; as: longsuffering, patience, kindness, brotherly love. Not envying, not making for strife or that which would even make any soul afraid.
13. These are then those things that, grown to fruition and applied in the daily experiences and associations one with another, bring into the heart and soul of an entity that peace which He, the loving Brother, gave, "My peace I leave with thee - not as the world knoweth peace, but my peace," that comes of love, of patience, of those things known as the virtues in the experience. These applied give and make their growth for each soul.
14. From the astrological influences we find these innate: love and faith and hope; yea, associations in friends counting for much in the experience of the entity.
15. And the entity will find more and more that, in that parlance - as may be said - that ye approach more and more to the very throne of grace, ye will find thyself leaning upon the arms of some to whom ye have shown those fruits of the spirit; to someone ye have comforted in trials, to someone whom ye have fed - whether in the fruits of the spirit or in the needs of the body or the heart. These be those things that bring the consciousness of His abiding presence.
16. This also brings innately some direct activative forces in what may be seen as the very natures of preventatives for disturbances; whether they be manifested in any form of
1493-1 Page 3
sanitation, any form of preventative, or any form of protective influence in the associations of others.
17. In Jupiter we find the influences becoming of a universal nature, though individually applied. These become portions of the experience of the entity from the astrological urges.
18. On the other hand, the emotions arise - as indicated - from the appearances of the entity in the earth plane and its dealings with the fellowman. While such appearances, that influence the entity in the present, are not great in number, we find many, many experiences and sojourns have there been in the environs of what ye call the earthly sojourn.
19. THESE are given, as we find, that they may be a helpful force if they are applied in the daily experiences of the entity in the present.
20. For it is ever the NOW - as in relationship of the soul to the universal consciousness, to the universal love - that makes for the awareness of the unfoldments of the inner self with Creative Forces or God in the experience.
21. Before this, then (among those having an influence in the present), we find the entity was in the land of the present nativity; during those early periods when the Dutch - yea, AND the English - settled in this particular portion of the land; and when those great settlements were led by Stuyvesant, and those activities that soon brought changes into the experiences of the peoples in the land - and in the tradings and in the activities and in the inflow of great numbers of peoples.
22. The entity then was in the household of one very closely associated with that leader, born in the new land or New Amsterdam, and in the name then Jane Ayer.
23. In the experience the entity gained; for it endeavors were to safeguard those of the younger generation that became more and more under the influences of impurities brought by the use of the waters during those periods, and the great stress in that early age when dysentery, diarrhea and such things were influencing the child life in that experience. The entity lent great aid to those that would study same.
24. Hence the entity gained. For, "He that is the greatest among you is the servant of all," or of the more.
25. Hence the entity saw its own activities - though under hardships, under discouragements - gradually grow to be in the experiences of men those things that were the influences that would bring hope to the mothers, to the fathers of the land during that experience.
1493-1 Page 4
26. In the present those things become of special interest to the entity that have to do with protective interests of any nature in fighting disturbing forces; whether it be poverty, sanitation, fevers or whatnot. And its lending of itself in those directions has brought - yea, will bring - in the present now - the greater peace and harmony of any application of itself in material influences.
27. Before that, we find the entity was in the land now called the Roman, in those periods when there were many of the activities that were barbaric - to the minds and to the intuition of peoples in the present; where those individuals because of their political or religious faiths or beliefs or tenets - were pitted against the beasts of the field, or made to fight as one with another.
28. The entity then was rather in the position where such things and conditions were viewed from afar; being rather of the royal household or close to those in authority.
29. Hence the entity's rebellion against those destructions, those material sufferings, brought into the lives of those that differed from those within power those things that became rather a hardship materially; but a great feeling of those things accomplished in the attempts - in the feebler way in the beginning to put away such barbarity from the lives and experiences of those during those periods.
30. The name then was Adolpho, and the entity gained and lost, and gained - only when those aids that came to the entity from its losing fights or losing activities in the interest of those peoples oppressed from foreign lands, or those that had been active in other lands and had come under the influence of the teachings of the lowly Nazarene - though persecuted were the peoples for these very forces - was there given strength and encouragement to the entity to carry on.
31. The entity had many associations during that experience with those with whom it has come in contact, in one way or another, during this present experience. Some have been very lovely, very helpful; some have brought opportunities for activity on the part of the self as well as upon the friend or the associate or the acquaintance for the ridding of many of the disturbing forces.
32. Hence the entity has known in these experiences many fears and doubts from those that were in authority in political as well as religious places in its experience.
33. Before that, we find the entity was in what is now known as the Persian land, during those periods of Artaxerxes or Ahasuerus - as he is known by both names; Xerxes from the Grecian, Ahasuerus from the Jewish AND Persian records.
1493-1 Page 5
34. The entity then was among those peoples close unto that deposed queen, and came to know the activities of the peoples; not only of the Jewish, not only of its own lands, but of the many activities that brought the attempt through the king and those co-patriots and co-associates of the entity for the entertainings of the interest in many lands.
35. Hence the entity knew much of that which was called authoritative; as to rote, as to custom, as to society, as to activities for political and economic reasons or purposes.
36. Hence those things of particular nature having to do with Persian patterns - yea, those things having to do with the colors of that country or land - have been and are a portion of the entity's consciousness or experience.
37. Anything of fine linen, anything of brocades, anything of those particular fields of service or activity are of particular interest; though they may be far from the entity's OWN application in same.
38. The interests in these arises from the activities of the entity in that period. There the entity knew again the vileness of the person, the disregarding of the rights of others; and there was imbued within the mind of the entity, in the heart and soul and purpose, the desire to assist the peoples in freeing themselves through the understanding and the relationships of the spiritual laws of the bondage of self-indulgence.
39. And these activities become a part of the entity's experiences in the present.
40. The name then was Eulea.
41. In the experience the entity gained through the greater portion, and yet many of these things may arise in the present experience to disturb or to cause qualms, as it were, in the mind and the experience of the entity.
42. Before that, we find the entity was in the Egyptian land, when there were those activities being sent out from those peoples as combined with a uniting of the Egyptians with the Atlanteans; and the teachings that had been gathered from the many places for the considering of interests of every nature were given into the experience of the children of men during those periods.
43. Such teachings were correlated and disseminated; whether pertaining to the arts, those things of a commercial nature, the delvings into the earth and into the strange places for those things that might be turned into adornments as of silver and gold or precious stones - diamonds, emeralds, onyx, beryl, jasper, and all those things that made for adornment. These were the interests, these were the
1493-1 Page 6
activities of the entity as related especially to the preparation of individuals for their material actions in those periods.
44. Hence we find again the entity coming to those influences that become of a special nature in preservation of body, of those things that have to do with the cleansing of same, those that would have to do with individual portions of the body; as the teeth, the eyes, the hearing; as for protection of the feet from activities of different natures; as for dress or for garments or the various characters pertaining to same; or as for those things that may be said to be the hygiene of the bodily forces themselves.
45. These become interests of the entity in its active associations with its fellowman.
46. In the experience the entity was known as Ish-Du-Del.
47. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, that to which it may attain, and how:
48. Know, first, what is thy purpose, what is thy ideal, in the relationships of man to man, of man to his Maker, of the Maker to man.
49. And know that these are founded in those things that are of the spirit and not merely for the satisfying or gratifying of any interests of the individual, but for a holy, purposeful interest in the self and the fellowman.
50. For know, as ye mete to thy fellowman, so is it meted unto thee. God is not mocked, and whatsoever an individual or soul soweth, that must he also reap.
51. As ye have seen from the experiences, ye are constantly meeting thyself, thy purpose, thy service; and in being first true to thine own self in body, in mind, in spirit, ye cannot be false to any.
52. For the Lord loveth those that show patience and mercy and love and hope to their fellowman. For unto the souls of men is committed the keeping, the awakening, the awareness of God's love in the earth.
53. Then, let thy yeas be yea, thy nays be nay, in thy study of His ways; divining and dividing the words of truth in their proper phase and proper dealing with thy fellowman; and keeping self unspotted from the world.
54. Ready for questions.
55. (Q) What is best for me to do with the remainder of my life? (A) As has just been indicated, use that ability, that thou hast in hand, in EVERY way to make known in thy daily dealings the love thou hast felt in so many activities in the earth for thy fellowmen; for their saving of body - for a PURPOSE! Not purposeless, but for a purpose!
1493-1 Page 7
And ye will find that peace, that harmony, that comes only from loving thy neighbor as thyself.
56. (Q) What can I best do to help my son [...], physically and materially? (A) By precept, by example, give to him that cheer, that knowledge, that hope, that self living aright and God upon his side, is greater than having the world on thy side and God left out. For one soul with God is in the majority!
57. (Q) Will it be to my advantage financially to sell the securities I now hold and invest the money with Lydia B. Koch? [for her milk cartons?] (A) We do not find it so in the present. When there has been a little further advance, then this may be considered; that is, advancement in the activities in which the investments would be made. [See 10/5/37 letter under 255-5, Par. R43.] Hold to these in the present. In the spring or the summer, when these activities have advanced, it MAY be preferable; but turn to WITHIN to know. [See 1493-1, Par. B1 re milk carton circular.] [9/1/70 GD's note: Paper milk cartons are now used almost universally.] For He has promised to meet thee in thy own temple. For thy body is indeed the temple of the living God and He has promised to meet thee there, in thy own meditation - yea, in thy own prayer; and let it be much as this, though in thine own words, in thine own message: LORD, MAKER OF HEAVEN AND EARTH! IN THY LOVE, IN THY GRACE, LOOK UPON THY HANDMAID WHO WAITS BEFORE THEE AND ASKS FOR THY GUIDANCE, THY DIRECTION. PUT INTO MY MIND AND MY HEART, O GOD, THAT I SHOULD THINK, THAT I SHOULD DO, DAY BY DAY! AND HELP ME TO GIVE TO THOSE I MEET, IN MY DAILY LIFE, A WORD OF CHEER, AN ACT OF LOVE, IN SUCH MEASURES THAT THEY - TOO - MAY KNOW THEE. EVEN AS THOU HAST LOVED US, SO LOVE I MY FELLOWMAN! USE ME, O GOD, IN THY WAY.
