Time of Reading 3:30 to 3:55 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1497].

2. Now as we find, there are some disturbing conditions.

3. These, however, would be as warnings rather than as conditions of the nature which may not be corrected in the present.

4. And with the corrections, as we find, many conditions that have aggravated or do aggravate at times the physical forces in their activities would be relieved and prevent greater disturbances arising later on.

5. These as we find in the main arise from disturbances in the nervous system, owing to subluxations in portions of the body.

6. Then: these are the conditions as we find them at this time with this body, [1497] we are speaking of, present in this room:

7. First, IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY:

8. This we find is very good in its reaction. There is the inclination for a variation in the pressure, as will be indicated from a disturbance in the flow from the lower hepatic circulation to the upper hepatic, and to the heart, the lungs and the liver.

9. In the reaction from these we find there tends to be the inclination for the throwing of poisons into the perspiratory system that should be nominally eliminated through the respiratory system and through the alimentary canal.

10. Hence we will find occasionally the effect of a little irritation in portions of the superficial circulation, or in the epidermis or cuticle itself. In the present there are only the inclinations, that do not even as yet produce a rash - but make for the disturbance which comes at periods through those areas of the lymph circulation.

11. IN THE NERVOUS SYSTEM, here, as indicated, we find definite subluxations the correction of which will relieve

1497-4 Page 2

the tensions on the nerve system in such a way and manner as to prevent the body from easily becoming fatigued at times.

12. For with undue exercise, whether physical or mental, there is a tiring especially of the body from the lumbar area downward; and the inclination at times for the lower limbs to become rather heavy - or it is easy for portions of the lower circulation to become short-circuited, or leadened, or the feet inclined to feel as if going to sleep - and the tendencies for a little swelling to occur at times.

13. These effects as we find are from an incoordination between the brush end of the cerebrospinal system and the association or connection with the lumbar plexus, or the lumbar axis - which makes for an irritation to those portions receiving their impulse from this area, and is the direct connection from which the disturbance to the superficial circulation occurs.

14. Also in the upper portion of the cerebrospinal axes, as from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cervicals, we find a subluxation exists the reaction from which causes to the upper portion of the vagus center a condition through the activity of the sensory organism.

15. So, when the body is listening intently, there becomes an inclination to open the mouth somewhat. There becomes an inclination for the squinting or frowning, as from the effects to the eye circulation. There comes a little stiffness at times just between the shoulders, or just above that area between the shoulders - or at the vagus center.

16. THE ORGANS OF THE SYSTEM, from this nervous tension, the activities upon the organs of the system are such that the inclination is at times for the body to become a little bit fretted over conditions that should not ordinarily cause disturbances to the reaction in the system.

17. At times there is the lack of the appetite, owing to the nervous reaction that comes to the system through the superficial circulation.

18. In the rest of the organs of the body, we find:

19. The brain forces are very good; these are very detailed in their reaction and activity.

20. As indicated, the organs of the sensory system are rather disturbed by the pressures that cause the incoordination between the lumbar axis and the brush end of the spine, as associated with the impulses to the auditory forces, to the optics and the reactions to the eustachian tubes.

21. In the throat, bronchi, lungs and larynx we have sympathetic reactions at times that cause disturbances; ONLY

1497-4 Page 3

in a sympathetic way and manner.

22. As to the digestive forces, and the heart's reaction from same, we find - as indicated - there needs to be not so much the THOUGHT taken but rather the activities taken that would remove the disturbances or inclination in this portion so that the body may become near to normal - in the eliminations and the activities through the liver, the pancreas, the spleen and the activity of the kidneys themselves as related to eliminations.

23. Owing to the disturbances in the lumbar axis, and sympathetically with the centers to the upper portion, we find there is a heaviness indicated at times through that area just between the lower portion of the stomach and the upper portion of the abdomen. Not a kidney reaction, but rather the strain upon the nervous forces in the activities of the lower hepatic circulation.

24. THEN, IN BRINGING NORMAL FORCES FOR THIS BODY, we find:

25. First we would begin with systematic activity or exercise for the upper portion of the body itself; that is, the head and neck exercise. Take this morning and evening for a minute or two minutes at each period; and we will find there will be a great change in the activities of the vision, the hearing, the throat. This would be the manner:

26. Sit erect - of morning just before arising, and of evening just before retiring. Slowly, positively, bow the head (not the body) just as far forward as possible, three to four times. Then back just as far as possible, with the body being held erect. Then slow circular motion, two to three times to the right, three to fours time to the left. Then to the side, first the right and then the left. Then the circular motion again; slowly but consistently. This should be taken immediately on awaking in the morning, you see, before leaving the bed; and just before retiring at night - or when ready for bed.

27. Also we would take specific exercise (this has nothing to do with the head and neck exercise; that is, it should be taken in addition to the head and neck exercise, see?), systematically, morning and evening; two to three minutes in the morning before dressing, and two to three minutes in the evening when prepared for bed - the stooping exercise; that is:

28. Stand erect, gradually rise on toes, extending the hands above the head as the body takes the exercise; then gradually stooping. Not bending forward but stooping, holding the heels rather close together - stooping three to four times, holding the body erect. Then the circular motion about the waist: Hands on the hip, bend the body

1497-4 Page 4

forward, circle backward. All this for two to three to four to five minutes.

29. This exercise is much preferable to having adjustments mechanically made, until there is the strengthening of the muscular forces throughout this portion of the body.

30. Be mindful of the diet, that there is kept not too much of acids - or acid-producing foods. Keep away from too many sweets. No combinations of fried foods or great quantities of red meat.

31. Do these, and we will find we will in a few weeks bring a great deal of change.

32. Then we would continue to keep these exercises systematically, in periods, of course, with occasionally a rest period from same; and we will bring better conditions for the system.

33. When there is the necessity for flushing the system from the drosses, because of lack of proper or full elimination, take the oils - or oil and agar combined; that is, the Alkalin PETROLAGAR. These are preferable to cathartics, and will make for better activity with the system.

34. Ready for questions.

35. (Q) Should the regular exercises be taken twice a day, as well as the head and neck exercise? (A) Twice a day. Take three to four to five minutes; two to three minutes for the head and neck exercises. Take the head and neck exercises sitting down, because they will be inclined to make the body dizzy in the beginning.

36. (Q) Should he take long walks for exercise? (A) Walking is the best exercise most anyone can take! These are well to be taken, but the specific exercises are to be taken as WELL as the walks!

37. (Q) Will these exercises relieve the condition at the end of the spine? (A) This consistent taking of the exercises indicated will relieve the condition at the end of the spine. The stooping is for that, you see. Stand with the heels close together, but let the limbs be spread apart - you see - as there is the stooping; not just holding them right in front of you as you stoop. And these, with the circular motion afterward, will tend to make for the breaking up of the lesion NOMINALLY in the lumbar axis! Then with the exercise of the head and neck we will gradually find the more specific activity in the throat, the eyes, the hearing, and even the taste will be improved! While the taste is very good - you will enjoy the food much more!

1497-4 Page 5

38. (Q) Should I have a new set of glasses prescribed after these exercises? (A) As we find, within three months it will be NECESSARY! for the eyes will be stronger!

39. (Q) Would osteopathic treatments help? (A) Osteopathic treatments are well; but as we have indicated, in this specific condition these would come much later, to be of any great help. For these corrections may be made by the exercises of the body itself, and NATURE is better even than the osteopath - though the osteopath is the closest to the NATURAL means!
