This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 1st day of January, 1938, in accordance with request made by the self - Miss [1505], new Associate Member of the Ass''n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., sponsored by Mr. [341].

R E A D I N G

Born July 25, 1905, in Stovall, N.C. Time of Reading 12:00 to 12:35 Noon - Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.C. (Life Reading Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity called [1505].

2. In giving the interpretations of the records here, as we find one experience in the earth plane stands out in the present more than the others; or there is the inclination for the entity to do more about those influences that arise in the present from urges received in the emotional forces in that experience.

3. Then, in interpreting, we give that which as we find may be applied in the present to make for the attaining of the greater influence in the present experience in the soul development of the entity.

4. We find many of the astrological aspects at variance to what has been and is applied in the present. Hence these would come to mean only the passing influence, unless there is the deeper application of that which arises from the deeper meditations, or from the psychic or spiritual influences in the present experience and application.

5. This is not implying that there are not the spiritual influences in the experience of the entity in the present; yet, as has been indicated, there was in the material experience such a high development in the earth that the influence arises in its inner self from the EMOTIONS of the mental and physical self in the present.

6. Then the shortcomings are that ALL too often the entity is self-sufficient unto itself; for it is in the applying of that which is the ideal from the spiritual and higher mental self that brings it (the ideal) to become a part of the entity in its development.

7. In the astrological we find Jupiter, Venus, Mercury, Uranus the greater influences.

8. We find then an entity in the EXTREMES often, becoming as

it were in many manners - as indicated from the manner of application - very peculiar to others; yet in the very nature of the innate forces that arise from the sympathy, the patience, the indulgences even at times, there remains in these extremes the influence that attracts the entity to others - and others feel drawn even with those peculiarities or oddities, as are at times felt by others in associations with the entity.

9. In the Mercurian aspects we find the high mental forces.

10. From Venus we find the love, the home - which should be the greater developments; or through which should come the greater developments.

11. Not that there are not abilities and faculties and conditions in which the entity may rule and influence many, through its contacts and associations with others in the Jupiterian forces; yet - as from the very NATURE of that which is innate and manifested - the home building will be that through which the entity may give the greater activity, the greater blessings to those in the material world; and make for those activities that would bring a greater development for the entity itself.

12. As to the appearances of the entity in the earth, we find these - as indicated - are varied; and there is rather one experience that rises above the others, for the entity's soul activity - from the material angle - in most of the other appearances would induce the greater activity in those directions that are indicated from the appearance in the Mongoloid land.

13. We find the appearance before this was in the land of the present nativity, in and about the surroundings where there were the activities as related to the influences for the developments of the educational faculties - in and about Williamsburg, during those periods when there was the construction of the activities in that particular phase of the developments for the educational faculties and features.

14. And we may still find among the rosters, or those assistants for the teachers, one Sally Ann Georgan; during those early periods when there were the first COOPERATIVE ACTIVITIES, and from which the founding of the schools began in that particular vicinity.

15. Not in the founded school, but in the records of those activities that brought about same.

16. Hence we find the entity in the present interested in education, but ever a practical application of same rather than so much of the tenet alone. Yet rote, routine in such is a part of the entity - not by the innate force of self but by the training or application or the influence of will

in direction in these lines of activity.

17. Before that we find the entity was in the English land, during those periods when there were the activities during the Crusades - when there were the gatherings of individuals and sides were taken as to the activities.

18. And the entity destroyed self. Not by what may be said to be of the nature of self-destruction, but by the very activity of LACK of care to survive under the conditions which arose about the entity's experience in that sojourn.

19. For the entity had only been recently married or wedded, or had just recently entered into such companionship when there were the decisions and the surroundings that made for the leavings - and those activities that brought about disturbing forces.

20. Hence we find the entity in the present with very DEFINITE yet, to many, very peculiar ideas about companionships and relations; and how that each should live his or her own life and have his or her own directing influences, and yet combining same in home building.

21. From those very disturbing forces as related to same during that sojourn or experience in the English land, we find in the present the need for the very act of creating or making for home influences in the experience - through which the greater development may come.

22. Then the name was Martha Jeames; and in the experience the entity gained and lost, for the very activity shows that which IS of a selfish import or purpose - and the lack of the consideration for others and for the environs and influences that might be brought about even though the purposes or DESIRES of the physical were thwarted by circumstance and conditions.

23. Before that we find the entity was in the land now known as the Roman, or coming FROM what is now called the Roman land into the Persian and Arabian land; when there were those journeyings of the many owing to the settlings about the 'city in the hills and the plains.'

24. There the entity exercised self in the early portion of its activity to that of coordinating the languages and the mathematical reactions.

25. And it may be said that the decisions by many to use numbers of the nature as arise in the use today were from a portion of the entity's experience with the young; though it lived to be what you would call in the present only sixteen years of age - though the entity gave much and there was a great development for the entity through those experiences.

26. These very influences oft make for hardships in the dealings with others as related to figures, and may bring

about disputations with those near to the entity in the present - in the latter portion of the present experience.

27. Before that we find the entity was in the land now known as the Mongoloid, or Gobi land.

28. There we find the entity rising to the activities that were known of the mandarinate; or the leader, the ruler - and close associations in its activities and influences that made for the founding of dynasties, castes, teachings and the various activities.

29. Hence we find those inclinations for peoples, homes, activities that brought about the great disseminations.

30. For it was at the period when there had been the beginning of the breaking up of the teachings in the land of Saneid, and of those in the Egyptian land - under the rulers or teachings there of the Priest and the King and those that had set them in order.

31. Hence the entity was then among those, or that one, that held to the changes wrought from the land of Mu, and from those activities of the City in Gold - and the temples there.

32. Hence we find the entity in relationships to those of the whole material world was the one to whom most of the rulers, most of the active influences in many portions of the land went for counsel and advice.

33. The companions with the entity then were those that were drawn nigh to the entity, yet were only as those that served with and were directed by the entity in all things political, economic, commercial and of the natures that had to do with the general activities.

34. Hence we find the influences and the experience of the entity in that sojourn as Taoi-ei.

35. In the experience the entity gained, the entity gained; for the entity gave to the others, to the world, those tenets, those teachings, those activities that brought peace, harmony - of ALL natures!

36. Those things pertaining to the ability for classifying color and sound to the entity arise from those innate forces.

37. Hence we see, as has been indicated, the EMOTIONS; the hereditary forces; the family influence; all arising in the innate and mental self from those activities and experiences of the entity there.

38. Before that we find the entity was in the Egyptian land, in those experiences when there had been the activities that brought the disturbing forces by the expelling of the Priest, and the activities of the INDIVIDUAL forces from the Atlantean land.

39. The entity was then among the Natives that rose to a place among the tentative activities in the co-educational field, the correlation of activities in other lands with those in that experience.

40. While not arising to great prominence during the individual experience, it was because the entity's short duration in the material experience cut short the activity - which was begun again in the Mongoloid land.

41. The name then was Ar-shu-put.

42. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, as has been indicated:

43. First know thy ideal spiritual as well as material, as well as mental; and that they are (the ideals) of - and prompted by - the SPIRITUAL life.

44. For only the spiritual life is eternal, even though as may be seen in the experience of the entity that the good as accomplished is of a spiritual nature - this directs then or influences the entity in the present.

45. Then do not give credit to only the MATERIAL things when it is of a spiritual nature! Or, learn evaluations in thine experience!

46. And build the home, rather than the career. For in this ye may find the awakening of those forces that will bring the closer walk with the purposes ye gained in Taoi-ei, in those lands that influence thee.

47. For know that the truth is ever that as was manifested by GOOD unto others for a purposefulness of the Creative Forces as may be manifested among men.

50. (Q) Where and what were the past relationships with [341]? and what are the urges in relation to him in the present? (A) The urges in relationship to him in the present will be determined by or in self. The individual relationships were in the Palestine land, and in those activities of the Mongoloid land - for there the entity was the leader, the teacher; while [341] (as called) was a director, or - as might be called, proverbially - "head man."

51. (Q) What was the relationship in the Palestine period? (A) An acquaintance; for the entity then was very young - but in the household of the BROTHER of the entity [341], or Andrew.

52. (Q) Would marriage with [341] in this present life offer the best marital relationship for spiritual development in this life?

(A) As to whether this offers the better - the choice must be within SELVES! This might be BUILDED to that wherein each might accomplish a great deal of that which has been seeking expression through the experiences of each in the earth.
