This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 11th day of January, 1938, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [1516], new Associate Member of the Ass''n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Dr. John R. Pike.

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, Mrs. [1516].
2. As we find, there are disturbing influences that prevent the better normal reaction with this body.
3. These as we find in part are hidden, yet the reactions in the functioning of the system at times show very definite effects produced in the system; affecting the circulatory system and the functioning of organs especially as related to eliminations.
4. Then these are the conditions as we find them with this body, [1516] we are speaking of:
5. In the blood supply we find that this changes, owing to the hindrances that are produced - or the effects produced, and thus become hindrances - in the lower hepatic circulation.
6. Thus it may be said to be somewhat intermittent as to pressure, as to the regularity in the heart's activity in same; with the inclination to become less and less endowed with - or carrying in same - sufficient of the white blood that is the plasm in coagulation and activative as the leucocyte in same.
7. Hence these conditions in the stream, owing to the inactivity of glandular forces and their reaction upon the absorption from the activative influences of the digestive forces, produce the inclination for excess of INFLAMMATORY conditions through the kidneys and the hepatic circulation.
8. These as we find also produce in the upper hepatics a condition wherein there tends to become a granular reaction, or the inclinations in same, through the activities of the gall duct itself, as related to the upper hepatic circulation.
9. This in turn makes for the inability of the proper eliminations owing to the lack of the effect of the flow from the ducts of this portion of the system itself to the activity of the alimentary canal.
10. As to the basis of these:
1516-1 Page 2
11. We find that in times back there were the effects of a type of fever had by the body, that left in the liver AND in portions of the lymph circulation along the cerebrospinal system the strains or the effects of these conditions.
12. Thus in portions of the muscular forces there are the inclinations for not exactly a full lesion but a tautness that exists not only in the muscles but the ganglia of the nerve centers in those specific areas at times; about the last lumbar, the 12th dorsal, and the reflexes through the specific central entrance of the vagus center.
13. A little cold or congestion, or the effect of superacidity in the system produces the greater distress upon the WHOLE of the hepatic circulation and the general condition becomes as an inclination towards the effects of old conditions of a malarial reaction.
14. Hence the pus that forms in the areas about the valves or ducts of the kidneys themselves.
15. As we find then, in the elimination of such conditions in the body:
16. We would create a high vibratory force in the activity of the hepatic circulation, to those general activities of the impulses for the flow of the blood to the deeper or superficial and deeper circulation as a unit.
17. Also we would stimulate osteopathically the specific centers; keeping a normal balance in the diets especially as related to the effect of acids and alkalinity - or an eighty percent alkalin reaction to a twenty percent acid reacting diet THROUGHOUT.
18. These would be altered according to the various periods of activity; that is, the seasons. Or the effect of the activity of a great deal of the ultra-violet from the ability of the body to be in the sun, and the effect wherein the activities are to be shaded and with little or no effect from the sun or the perspiratory reaction of the respiratory system - all of these are to be taken into consideration in administering the diet and the activities of same.
19. Hence these preferably would be under the supervision of the one making the corrections in the osteopathic way and manner.
20. The vibratory forces for the body as we have indicated should be from the low electrical forces, but of such a nature that they are constructing or building within themselves; thus meeting the needs of the system in creating the proper vibratory forces as released by the energies in the ganglia along the system - as we have indicated by the manipulations.
21. But so build the vibratory forces that the extremities
1516-1 Page 3
are made to make for a circulatory force for the system. Hence use the Wet Cell Appliance, or the low electrical vibrations in the order as the Radio-Active Appliance is ordinarily used. Here we have, though, the difference that there IS a positive and a negative plate set. The copper plate should be the one, then, that is circulated about the body, the one always attached first; while the nickel plate would always be attached LAST. For this body, the attachments would begin and be used in this manner; for thirty minutes each day - not more than thirty minutes - before retiring:
22. The first day, the copper plate would be attached first - to the right wrist; while the nickel plate would be attached last - to the left ankle.
23. The next day, the copper plate would be attached first - to the left wrist; while the nickel plate would be attached last - to the right ankle.
24. The third day, the copper plate would be attached first - to the left ankle; while the nickel plate would be attached last - to the right wrist.
25. The fourth day, the copper plate would be attached first - to the right ankle; while the nickel plate would be attached last - to the left wrist.
26. Then begin over again. Thus we make a circle of the body.
27. Continue in this manner for fifteen days. Then leave off for five days. Then begin all over again.
28. Make a perfect connection each time the Appliance is used. Be sure the plates that are attached to the body are kept very clean. Do not leave these connected to the Appliance when not in use.
29. Ready for questions.
30. (Q) How often should the osteopathic treatments be given? (A) About twice a week, in periods - or in series of three to four weeks; left off for ten days or two weeks, and then a series again. These as combined with the electrical applications and with the diet should eliminate the causes and the effects of these conditions in this body.
