Time of Reading 10:50 to 10:55 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia.
1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes.
3. As we find, conditions are not so well with this body. The temperature is a form of strep that is making an excellent field, a very fertile one, for tubercular activities.
4. Then with the general rundown condition, and the lack of red blood cellular force, the warring - from the condition in the blood stream - makes rather serious the general pulmonary and throat condition, as well as the upset assimilation.
5. We would begin immediately with the use of the brandy inhalations from the oak keg, charred inside. Use at least as much as half a gallon of the Pure Apple Brandy, and inhale only the fumes, twice or three times a day, into the throat and lungs.
6. Use a sedative as a quieting to the general bronchi and larynx spasmodic reaction. This had best be administered by a physician, for the Dovers Powders or its equivalent would be the necessary forces, which requires a physician's prescription.
7. Bathe off the body at least twice a day with tepid water, and then rub down the spine with preferably GRAIN alcohol to reduce the temperature.
8. DO NOT give the body solid foods; preferably plenty of citrus fruit juices and - occasionally - cereals. But do not combine the cereals and the fruit juices at the same meal.
9. Use milk, if the body will take same; not too much of the cream, but the regular milk with the cream stirred into same is preferable.
10. Plenty of ice cream, if this is desired, as well as fruit ices. These taken often, and not too much, will be

helpful in reducing the fever.
11. Do these, if we would bring the better forces for this body.
12. Ready for questions.
13. (Q) What causes and what may be done to prevent constant spitting? (A) This has just been indicated, you see, as for the bronchi and larynx, and the necessary purifications by the use of the Brandy inhalations as well as the activity of a sedative to keep the body quiet, or to quiet the spasmodic reactions that occur. Do these things, and we will bring the better conditions for this body.
14. We are through with this Reading. Copy to Mrs. [2470] - Special Delivery " " Ass'n file (GD's note: See drawing [which was enclosed] to illustrate the Keg for inhaling Brandy Fumes. Get Mrs. Storey to secure one of these for you. She got one for somebody else not long ago. She has a telephone now at home - 43897. If you can't get the grain alcohol for rubbing the spine, the next best thing is straight whiskey. Thanks so much for the apples and wheat cereal. We haven't been able to get any wheat for a long time now. Love, GD. Let us hear how [1519] gets along.)
