1. EC: (Yes - rather cold here!)

2. Yes, we have the body here, [1536].

3. Now as we find, the cause or basis of the disturbance is rather definite. However, the reactions in the system alter somewhat.

4. Thus it has been somewhat confusing as to the source and the cause of the disturbances.

5. These as we find are in the real nervous system, or an incoordination between centers where cerebrospinal and the sympathetic unite; while the reflexes to portions of the body - as will be indicated - cause organic functionings to be an apparent source of disturbance.

6. Then, these are the conditions with this body, [1536] we are speaking of:

7. First, in the blood supply we find - owing to the very nature of those disturbing forces in the nervous system - there is quite a variation in the pulsation, the activity of the heart, as well as the regulating forces between the circulatory forces from lungs to heart, heart to liver, liver to kidneys.

8. Hence we find the body very easily is affected by cold, or sudden changes - as hot or cold, or conditions that may be wholly MENTAL; that is, the pressures that affect the disturbing conditions may become affected as easily by the body becoming easily ruffled - or mad - or by those things that may appear to others ordinary, that would become very depressing to the body.

9. These then cause the disturbance, and without correction may eventually cause not only constitutional asthmatic reflections in the bronchi and lungs but may also cause a deflection in the circulation between the liver, the lungs, the heart and the hepatic circulation; or a FUNCTIONAL disturbance of heart activity.

10. In the nervous system, as we have indicated, do we find

the source of the troubles.

11. Here we find, in times back, rather in a scuffle, first, there has been a pressure produced in the secondary cardiac plexus area - 3rd and 4th dorsal center.

12. Then there was a subsequent reflection or activity to the lower lumbar or coccyx area.

13. Now, these COMBINED with the disturbance have brought about the conditions as indicated in the circulatory forces of the body.

14. In the functioning of the organs themselves we find a disturbance through the throat, the head, the body being easily subject to colds or congestions; oftentimes a dizziness - as if the body were turning about; some disturbance with the digestive forces of the body at times; the activity of the liver becomes involved, and this over-disturbance or a tendency for engorgements. The affectation to the organs becomes a part of the condition in all of these.

15. As we find, then, in making administrations that would be most beneficial:

16. We would, for some three or four weeks, change the climatic AND environmental conditions for the body.

17. For THIS body, as we find, it would be well to go to such a place as Clearwater, Florida; and have such applications or treatments as may be had there from Farrand - or the Clearwater Clinic.

18. The ADJUSTMENTS would be made in the coccyx area, and those specifically in the upper dorsal, as well as COORDINATING the cervical AND lumbar centers with the rest of the conditions.

19. Let the body remain in the open much. Not strenuous exercise but regular exercise in the sun, in same, and in activities where there are not so much the SOCIAL changes but rather those that make for mental reactions.

20. There have been definite purposes which the entity has been preparing itself for. Use a part of the time, or certain periods of the time, for study along the definite lines of activity as associated with the business with which the entity is associated and connected.

21. Take the proper precautions, of course, as to the diet; keeping the body eliminating properly by the physical activities as well as the administrations of the adjustments that may be given.

22. In the diets we would keep more of the alkalin-reacting foods than the acids; refraining from any character of diet or exercise where there is the use of alcoholic beverages in ANY form!

23. Do these and as we find we will not only AVERT much of the disturbances mentally AND physically, but will bring about such normal forces that the body may find greater opportunities and a greater chance for service - as well as mental and material and social gain.

24. Ready for questions.

25. (Q) How can a violent coughing and wheezing spasm be stopped quickly? (A) For this it will be best that the ADJUSTMENTS be made. These would be stopped quickly by pressures upon the coccyx portion of the spine AND combined with those from the 3rd cervical center.

26. (Q) Will these treatments prevent trouble when going from the warm house to the cold outdoors? (A) As has just been indicated, these treatments suggested are for the ADJUSTMENTS of the equilibrium that has been disturbed by the conditions that have gradually grown to become affectations - the whole of the pulmonary system, the organs or the FUNCTIONING conditions as related to same, the circulation, the activities of the organs as related to same, and the more to the mental outlook. Budget the time when on such a change. Of course, give at least two or three periods to rest, recreations; a period in the morning for study along those lines of business; and in the afternoon or evening part social and part study - combining the spiritual with the social and material surroundings.

27. We are through for the present. [See 1536-1, Par. R1.] Two copies to Self (one copy to be sent or taken to Dr. Jacob H. Farrand, Clearwater Clinic, 1005 N. Ft. Harrison Ave., Clearwater, Florida) Copy to Ass'n file " " Mr. [675]
