R E A D I N G
Time of Reading 10:55 to 11:15 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va.
1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of Miss [1540] present in this room, together with the conditions surrounding her both mentally and physically, her work, her family and her relationship to [...], ..., Va. You will analyze these conditions and relations and give information and advice that will be helpful and understood by all. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, Miss [1540]; this we have had before - those conditions also physically and mentally, as in relationships to things, conditions, others, the family and [...].
3. In giving suggestions for help, for aid, there should be the attempt on the part of each that may be associated with the body in the present conditions to understand, to comprehend, to put themselves in the same position.
4. To be sure, to some this becomes rather not understandable; but if there will be considered the physical conditions as well as the effect attitudes mentally have upon the physical forces, there may be a better understanding.
5. As for the physical activities - there should be as much quiet and staying in the open as is at all practical.
6. Keep the mind and the body busy in things, conditions outside; especially during these periods when there are definite physical and mental changes taking place, and while the weather permits being outside.
7. We would take small quantities of Tonicine; half a teaspoonful a day. This is a stimulant supplying those energies that will aid in bringing better activity with the glandular forces in the body that are under stress and strain. These will replace the necessity of shots of ANY kind, of any vitamin or such.
8. Prepare two solutions that are to be kept separate except when the dosage is to be taken.
9. Add one grain Chloride of Gold to one ounce of Distilled

Water. This would be one solution.
10. Add three grains Bromide of Soda to one ounce of Distilled Water. This would be another solution.
11. Once each week - as on a Monday or Tuesday of each week - put two drops of the Soda solution in half a glass of water, then one drop of the Chloride of Gold Solution, and take IMMEDIATELY.
12. This will also aid in supplying the PHYSICAL conditions in the body, as well as aid in assimilating from the system - or IN the system - nerve supply to the nerves and brain forces themselves; and thus aid in quieting the physical conditions in the body.
13. When practical, there should be the associations with all others in that of an understanding way and manner; with family as well as with [...].
14. These should not be as DON'TS, ever; rather that as the body HAS aided, has helped that body - that to many may appear not understood - there is a duty that [...] owes to this body. He should understand - he does understand; if there will be the attitude of those ABOUT the body such as not to cause fear or resentment to the body.
15. Changes naturally are being wrought, but there must be understood also that this must be kept normal - at this period as the body adjusts itself to the new changes in the body physically and mentally; not always merely HUMORING, to be sure, but reason lovingly together - not resentfully, ever.
16. These will bring the better conditions for this body, Miss [1540].
17. In the matter of the diets - when these properties indicated are being taken, DO NOT eat fried foods.
18. Have plenty of fresh vegetables, raw and cooked.
19. Have plenty of fruits of all kinds.
20. Fish, fowl - these are preferable as meats; but prepared in a different way each time they are taken.
21. Ready for questions.
22. (Q) Were the treatments suggested in my last Reading [1540-3] beneficial to the body? (A) These were not taken coordinantly. Hence the mental attitudes have not benefited a great deal, nor has the physical condition. The alterations have been made here to meet the emergencies, as well as the general conditions in the present.
23. (Q) What is the condition of the body, mentally and physically, at this time? (A) As indicated, there is a warring between the mental and physical forces of the body; owing to the changes of the
1540-4 Page 3
glandular system and the activities of the body throughout. Hence the need of those elements indicated, which are carried in the thyroid, in the activities through the Tonicine; as well as the ovary extract that makes for the changes in the activity of the glandular system as related to the eliminations and the bodily functions; as well as the need of the ability of the system to assimilate through the glandular forces the vibrations from Gold, being given in this mild form, to aid in keeping a nerve balance.
24. (Q) Considering the surroundings, should I live in my father's home, one of my sister's home, or go to a sanatorium? (A) Live in the father's home if this is practical - most of all. DO NOT go to sanatorium. Keep in the open as much as possible.
25. (Q) Please give specific advice that will help me to solve the problem in relation with [...]. (A) As has been intimated and indicated, see and be with the body - as it is practical. Keep an understanding with the body, as well as others about the body keeping an understanding.
26. (Q) Have I permanently damaged my mind by worry? (A) No. DO NOT worry, so long as you can pray.
27. (Q) Will I be able physically to resume my work with ... & Co.? (A) In three to six months, yes. Do not attempt it before that.
28. (Q) Any other advice? (A) Keep that attitude of knowing that within self there are the healing forces for body, mind and soul - if they are kept attuned to the divine within. Listen in as much patience to others as possible, but keep thine own counsel - as ye have so oft done. But keep in attune to the divine within.
