R E A D I N G
Time of Reading 3:45 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia.
1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions she has submitted, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, Mrs. [1541]; this we have had before.
3. As we find, in the present while conditions show improvement internally, the apparent reactions have been rather violent. Yet if there will be considered that this IS the condition which has existed through the intestinal system being eliminated, it will be realized then - even though it causes a great deal of disturbance in the present - it is much better that it is being eliminated.
4. We would keep those general applications that have been indicated for the general system.
5. In the matter of the diet - more of lettuce and celery should be combined with the meals. Of course, not too heavy foods; no fats, and not any great quantity of meat.
6. The Yellow Saffron taken as a tea would be very helpful; about two ounces of the tea taken some two to three times a day - two ounces at the time, see? It would be made in the proportions of a level teaspoonful to a pint of water, and steamed as regular tea. Make it fresh each day, you see.
7. The rest we would keep much in the manner as has been given.
8. The use of the D.D.D. Solution (the tetrachloride solution, you see) will aid in allaying the irritation, - this put on with a tuft of cotton.
9. These will bring, as we find, the better forces, and we will eliminate much of the disturbance which has been underlying the conditions with this body.
10. Ready for questions.
11. (Q) Give specific directions for stopping the spreading of the leg infection. (A) As has been indicated, use the diet, and the

application of the D.D.D. Solution - taking internally the Yellow Saffron, see?
12. (Q) What thickness should the D.D.D. Ointment be applied on the leg? (A) Sufficient to cover the gauze thoroughly, that is placed over same.
13. (Q) Should the D.D.D. Ointment or Liquid be used on the rash? (A) As has been indicated, the Solution.
14. (Q) Are osteopathic treatments being given properly? (A) MORE consideration should be given to the area from the 9th dorsal DOWNWARD; coordinating the upper portion WITH these, see?
15. (Q) About how many more should be taken? (A) This will depend, of course, upon the response the body makes; but four or six more should be sufficient.
16. (Q) How long should Mercury Light be used each treatment, and where applied? (A) It should be at least thirty-eight to forty-two inches (38" to 42") FROM the body, and NOT used more than a minute and a half. It should be applied between the 9th dorsal and the lower portion of the spine.
17. (Q) Leg elevation is necessary to comfort at present. Does this retard healing? (A) Until the purifying of the blood is made more effective, it will retard somewhat, of course; but to bring the better comfort it is better. And stay off the feet as much as is practical.
18. (Q) What mild laxative should be used to set up elimination? (A) Any with a senna base.
19. (Q) Castoria or Zilatone? (A) Castoria as we find would be the more preferable, or take the bottle of Castoria and add to it a teaspoonful of Syrup of Senna.
20. (Q) How should this be taken for best elimination? (A) For best elimination it should be taken in small doses often.
21. (Q) What is considered a mild solution of Bichloride and water? (A) Half of an ordinary tablet in a quart of water.
22. (Q) Has the Bichloride Solution caused the breaking out on the body? (A) Bichloride Solution too strong will cause breaking out on the body?
23. (Q) Should it be allowed to dry before applying D.D.D. Ointment? (A) To be SURE!
24. (Q) Would sun bath on the leg aid healing? (A) If it is not too DIRECT sun bath.

25. (Q) For how long a time each day? (A) From ten to thirty minutes.
26. (Q) Would electric vibrator or mutton tallow, turpentine and camphor rub be preferable to stimulate circulation? (A) In these particular conditions at present the vibrator is much preferable. For with the other we would only add clogging to the lymph circulation, until better purification has been set up.
27. (Q) Is this condition contagious? (A) No.
28. (Q) Any further advice for this body? (A) Keep these up. Keep the eliminations somewhat above normal, see? These, we find, will be the much better conditions for the body. If there becomes too GREAT an irritation in the limb, use the Mullein Stupes about same to prevent any spreading, or to take out swelling and inflammation.
29. (Q) How often should they be used? (A) DO NOT use these unless there is GREATER irritation! But if there is a great deal of pain, or swelling, or the attending spreading, use the fresh mullein leaves bruised, and then the boiling water poured on same to allow to set in same a few minutes, then apply. For this body, or these conditions, about once a day should be sufficient.
