Time of Reading 10:55 to 11:05 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia.

1. GC: You will have before you [1548], present in this room. You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Miss [1548].

3. As we find, conditions in the general continue to be on the improve.

4. There is more and more a replacement throughout those areas where there have been disturbances through the lung.

5. There are NOT more adhesions of the pleura. There are no live tubercular forces through the system, or through the lung area.

6. To be sure, the weaknesses and the inclinations as yet exist - as indicated by the tendencies of portions of the right lung to settle. Yet if the antiseptic reaction is kept, by the gases from the Brandy, as well as the precautions for the building up of the calcium in the blood supply, and keeping sufficient of the Acigest occasionally that there may be in the assimilating forces better calcium reactions, we find that even this reaction may be prevented.

7. Take the precautions as to dampness, as to cold, especially as to keeping the feet warm.

8. And keep the eliminations, especially as related to the liver and the kidneys.

9. Thus we will keep the body on the improve.

10. Ready for questions.

11. (Q) What causes pain when coughing near heart and left shoulder blade? (A) This same condition as indicated - the inclination for the lung film, or the lung area, to sag, see? because of the lack of the vital forces in the blood, that tends to dilate, as in the respiratory reactions, or the breathing in and out. Keep away from any activity where there are dust particles,

or those conditions that would tend to make a great strain. Don't lift things high above the arms, or ANY over the head; though exercises of such a nature - gently taken - will be most beneficial - as of early morning or late evening; such as standing and gently rising on the toes, gradually lifting or raising the arms - not pushing up quickly, or fast, but gradually - so as to fill the whole lung area with fresh, pure air, or that which is through these periods filled with ozone of the ultra-violet light or rays.

12. (Q) Did auto accident hurt left side? [See 1548-5, Par. R1.] (A) Only a strain, or a form of congestion - which is being removed.

13. (Q) Considering present physical condition, would it be harmful to resume office work? (A) Not before the early spring or early summer.

14. (Q) Is present use of cigarettes harmful or retarding to healing of lungs? (A) Provided these are not too often indulged in, they are inclined to be beneficial rather than harmful. But whenever these cause a filling in the cardiac portion of the chest, or the stomach, leave 'em off!

15. (Q) Are there any diseased or infected teeth? If so, which ones? (A) As we find, there is no immediate disturbing condition. If there would be the massaging of the gums in the present about once a day with an equal combination of salt and soda, and then about once a week the use of Ipsab not only as a massage but as a rinse for the mouth - or wash - these will be kept clean.

16. (Q) Give corrective diet. (A) All of those things as would include plenty of nuts and fruits, especially figs, and the like - especially through the winter months. Plenty of citrus fruits, letting all of the orange juice carry a little of the lemon. Plenty of grapefruit, and occasionally the pineapple; though this not so much as the other citrus fruits, unless FRESH pineapple is taken. Apples - preferably only the cooked. Fish, fowl and lamb as meats. Plenty of leafy vegetables, and - of course - vegetable juices occasionally may be used instead of the citrus fruit juices. Cereals - preferably the combination of wheat and rye, which may be used singly or combined (as in Maltex), or the steel cut oats (rather than rolled oats). Do not mix cereals and fruit juices at the same meal, however. The whole wheat cracked cereal is preferable for the wheat cereal.

17. (Q) Any other advice for the body at this time? (A) Keep the mental attitude, ever, in a constructive, creative influence. Know that as the body rebuilds itself, especially as related to the sensitive influences of the sympathetic nerve system and the new blood supply, it is not to hold resentments nor any antagonism, but rather being a creative, helpful force in every way and manner. Be as tolerant with others as you would like for others to be tolerant with you.
