Time of Reading 11:10 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.J.
1. HLC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them, regarding her condition.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Mrs. [1553]; this we have had before.
3. Here, as we find, there are slowly but surely DEFINITE improvements. That there are those reactions in which there is indicated the definite coordination between the impulses of the body AND the mind shows that those influences as were formerly indicated as being part of the disturbance, by the adherence to that as would bring such distressing forces, have been relieved.
4. Hence NOW the greater need is to aid the disturbed PHYSICAL functionings to ADJUST themselves and to rebuild and replenish through the system the vital energies, that come by the assimilation and elimination of that administered physically, mentally, and through the assimilation.
5. As we find, still the greater disturbance lies in the lack of there being the best or better eliminations for or from the system - not only from the general poisons that are the natural daily accumulations, but as the general debilitation is to be stimulated there are the greater eliminations that are necessary for the body, in order for the improvements to be brought.
6. These as we find are some better than they have been, yet still the anxieties arise from the necessity for the use of so many varied conditions. These we would keep, to aid in the better eliminations.
7. Use the Tea as well as Packs when necessary. Depend a great deal upon the irrigations. Though these become
1553-20 Page 2
tiresome, wearisome, disturbing to the body as well as those who make the administrations, these need to be kept - and are necessary.
8. We would keep the use of the vibrations which will enable all nerve impulses to be aided, by the stimulation of the Gold VIBRATORIALLY taken into the system.
9. We would continue with the massage and the relaxing of the body through the neuropathic adjustments and manipulations.
10. We would use the Hand Violet Ray; this for the nerve forces will aid especially, if it is GRADUALLY used across the abdominal area; this given just before the body retires, or when it is prepared for rest of evenings, will aid in better rest and will aid in relaxing the body and stimulating better eliminations. Take about fifteen minutes in making the application; not going through it hurriedly, but each portion to which it is applied given due consideration. Use the bulb applicator, so that it may be used as a character of massage; along the spine - but HERE, ALWAYS downward, NEVER the strokes upward! and also across the abdomen, slowly. Though there will be some interference and some resistance to this, at first, we find that it may gradually be used. Across the abdomen it would be rather as a kneading or a massaging. Fifteen minutes in all. And we will find this to be a most helpful portion of the treatments in the present.
11. Ready for questions.
12. (Q) What improvement in the following points, and is there anything more that can be done to improve: The speech? (A) We find little improvement in the speech at times, and at others a great deal of improvement. This will come in the latter portion of this. For, remember you are building or rebuilding many impulses through the system; and these will gradually come, as greater strength, greater adaptability comes to body-functionings with its surroundings.
13. (Q) Swallowing? (A) In this we find there is quite a bit of improvement, but more may be obtained by the suggestions. Remember, most of the impulses - as we have indicated so oft here - are attained or gained by suggestion to this body AS applications are made for all characters of improvement; and more and more is there being attention given by the body to such suggestions.
14. (Q) Twitching of the legs? (A) This will be aided most by that stimulation through the massage and correction in the lumbar axis. It is a part of
1553-20 Page 3
the LACK of flow of impulse through the whole of the abdominal area, as also is the irregularity or disturbance in kidneys. Give here, occasionally, now, more of the Watermelon Seed Tea. As to how often this would be given may be best judged by the needs. As we find in the present, we would give about an ounce of same about twice a week. Prepare by pouring a pint of boiling water over a tablespoonful of crushed Seed and allowing to steep as tea, for twenty to thirty minutes. Strain, and it is ready to drink. This quantity could be kept on ice and used for the two doses during the week, you see; But should be made fresh each week.
15. (Q) Can it be put in fruit juice, so the body will take it? (A) No! The body will take it.
16. (Q) The pain in the side at times? (A) This is from the general condition, and is a part of the whole disturbance.
17. (Q) Fatigue? (A) Fatigue, of course, is from the LACK Of proper assimilations, or brought on by poisons fatiguing the impulse of the nervous system; and is a GENERAL condition. This will be gradually overcome by the better activities.
18. (Q) Any other suggestions for the constipation? (A) Just keep those that have been indicated, and the addition of the electrical treatment now, of course.
19. (Q) Would any form of iodine be helpful to the body now? (A) Not if we are going to use the violet ray.
20. (Q) Would a General Electric Sun Lamp help? (A) Only as a quieting, and as to produce within the environ of the body the better influences, or the purifying of conditions about the body.
21. (Q) How often should be made the adjustments now? (A) At least once each week.
22. (Q) Are the Readings being correctly carried out? (A) Judge from that which has been indicated, and what you do each day. Who is to say whether you think you do, or whether you don't think you do!
23. (Q) How often should the irrigations be given? (A) As indicated, these should be given just to assure each day the evacuation or the eliminations through the alimentary canal. If it is necessary to use same, irregularly or regularly, GIVE them; just so you have the eliminations!
24. (Q) Just how is the lumbar region to be rubbed? (A) This is to be an adjustment, more than just a rub.
1553-20 Page 4
When the massage is given, it should be as a circular motion down either side of the spine, and at the juncture of the lumbar it would be down the center and crosswise, but circular motion.
25. (Q) Does it make any difference whether given clock wise or counter clock wise? (A) Clockwise is the more natural, unless you are left handed - then go the other way.
26. (Q) Could a duo-polar violet ray machine be used? (A) It could be used, but it is best to use just the plain hand machine; for what is desired is a non-resistance or lack of resistance in the electricity for the body, as well as the massage; and the duo machine has more resistance.
27. (Q) What type of machine? (A) Just a plain Violet Ray Hand Machine. You can get one from $6.50 to $12.50 to $25.50 - any price you desire!
