TEXT OF READING 1555-1 M 46

This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Va. Beach, Va., this 24th day of March, 1938, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [1555], new Associate Member of the Ass''n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mr. [470].

Time of Reading 11:25 to 11:50 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Ohio. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1555] - (In undertone, Mr. Cayce said something which sounded like "Jeffries.") [Mr. [1555]'s middle initial was J.]

2. Now as we find, there is rather a complication of disturbances. Though these arise from specific disturbances, or causes, the effects upon the physical forces are of a complex nature.

3. These have to do primarily with the effect upon the glandular system. But the destructive forces affect more directly the nervous system, owing to the manner in which there is a deflection in the coordination between the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic or vegetative nervous systems in their reaction in the body.

4. Hence we have the effect of an agitans as it were, or a palsied condition affecting the locomotories more than the cerebrospinal or reflexes.

5. Hence the complication which arises in the disturbing forces of the body.

6. These then are the conditions as we find them with this body, Mr. [1555] we are speaking of:

7. In the blood supply we find deflections owing to the inability of the coordination between the superficial and deeper circulation. And an impoverishment is shown to portions of the extremities, as the locomotory axis in the lumbar as well as in the brachial area - where the deflections are shown.

8. The effect upon the organs of the system becomes the disturbing force in the system, owing to the activities that are a part of the conditions - as from the actions of the glandular forces.

9. Hence in the nerve forces we have an effect, and also the cause to reactions.

10. These as we find in the beginning arose from absorption and the effect of a MINERAL, or the effect of mercurian or mercury reactions in the glandular forces of the adrenals

and the liver and the spleen's activity.

11. Hence this disturbance which became in the nature of a palsy, or digitan [agitation-agitare-paralysis agitans].

12. As to the activities then which we find would make for the improvements, the relief, and a gradual growing back to normalcy:

13. We would add elements to the physical forces of the system that may counteract the effects and allow the activities of the system, through assimilations, to supply those forces needed as stamina in not only the circulatory forces of the body itself but in the additions to the nerve tissue itself; such as to assist much in overcoming these conditions.

14. Begin first then with a gentle but specific relaxation osteopathically of the areas from the 4th dorsal to the 1st cervical. And then coordinate with same the last dorsal, or the 11th and 12th, and throughout the area of the lumbar and sacral AND coccyx. The coccyx end would be GENTLY raised, so that the pressures would be removed from the muscular forces not only of the sphincter centers but as related to the activity of the system through the pelvic organs themselves and their related forces to the glandular system about the upper portion of the kidneys.

15. These deep manipulations - gradually increased, but gently given - would be every other day.

16. Also we would add to the system the vibrations of the low electrical forces from the B Battery Appliance, carrying alternately - one day the Chloride of Gold, the next day the Nitrate of Silver. The Gold Solution would be used in the proportions of three grains to each ounce of distilled water. It is necessary that the Nitrate of Silver be begun with not more than a two percent solution. Do not use the same attachments in both solutions. Each solution is to have different attachments, you see. The addition of the vibratory forces of these elements in the system is to assist the body in gaining its equilibrium. The attachments should be with leads, one of nickel, the other of copper. That one from the minus on the Appliance would be the one to which the nickel anode of a larger connection would be attached, and through which the Solution passes in a lead lead to the body. The copper plate, of course, to the plus sign, would be attached to the 9th dorsal, and the larger plate - passing through the Gold Solution - would be attached to the umbilicus and lacteal duct plexus - or four fingers from the navel center TOWARDS the right. The attachment would not be for more than thirty minutes, every other day, for the Gold Solution.

17. The same character of application would be for the Silver Solution. The small plate would be attached to the lumbar axis, while the larger plate - carrying the Silver Solution would be to the umbilicus and lacteal duct plexus. This attachment is not to be more than twenty minutes every other day, in the beginning.

18. Do not leave the leads or the lead connections in solution when not in use.

19. Every fourteen days change both the Gold AND the Silver Solutions.

20. These would be kept for twenty-eight days; then we would give further instructions.

21. With the acidity that is produced in the system, which has caused conditions in the bone structural forces of this body, [1555] we are speaking of, the addition of these vibrations will produce some irritations.

22. But when there is restlessness, then an Oil Rub - preferably given along the cerebrospinal system - will make for quieting of the body.

23. In the matter of the diet - this should be rather of a specific nature, though not TOO set in its activity. This would be as an outline, then:

24. Mornings - citrus fruit juices OR cereals, but do not eat cereals AND citrus fruit juices at the same meal. Coddled egg and very crisp bacon occasionally. Whole wheat toast. Any of these. As the seasons progress, other fruits may be taken in or with the cereals - or separate.

25. Noons - only raw vegetables, or broths from mutton or fowl.

26. Evenings - fish or lamb or fowl, with the leafy vegetables - only the leafy; not the pod vegetables nor those that grow under the ground; though yam AND turnip may be occasionally included - but not white potatoes or the like. The artichoke - both those above and below the ground are very well to include. Especially about twice a week include in the evening diet the Jerusalem artichoke - for the adrenalin [adrenal?] effect upon the metabolism and katabolism of the body.

27. Do these and in twenty-eight days we would give further instructions.

28. Ready for questions.
