Time of Reading 3:30 to 4:10 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Mrs. [1563].

2. Now as we find, many of the physical forces of the body are very good. There are inclinations and tendencies the correction of which in the present, as we find, will eliminate many of those disturbing influences and forces; preventing greater disturbance later on that might become conditions to be reckoned with.

3. These then are conditions as we find them with this body, Mrs. [1563] we are speaking of, present in this room:

4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find indications of disturbances as related to the katabolism, rather than the metabolism.

5. Thus we have a condition indicated where acidity of the system makes for disturbances of natures that involve many of the reactions in the system; as well as the variation in the pressure as related to the activity of the liver, the heart and the hepatic circulation - or lower hepatic circulation.

6. These as we find are the greater disturbances, and the conditions that are to be reckoned with, as related to minor reactions in the functioning of the organs of the body.

7. IN THE NERVOUS SYSTEM, here we find a cause as well as an effect of the disturbance. For the impulses for the activity of organs and of the system as related to assimilation and distribution are governed by the nerve forces of the body, as related to the circulation.

8. Hence as we find, there having been impingements in the cerebrospinal system, where subluxations exist in the structural portions, gradually deflections have been builded that have caused and do contribute to the disturbances through the activity of the circulation as has been indicated.

9. These subluxations as we find are more specific in the lumbar axis and the secondary cardiac plexus, as in the upper dorsal and through the cervical area.

1563-1 Page 2

10. From these deflections, in the activity between the heart, the lungs and the liver, we have a pressure upon the secondary cardiac plexus area; that tends to make for the lack of the proper assimilation being carried on.

11. Thus gradually the circulatory forces have been deflected between those portions of the system, as well as causing fermentation before the proper digestions has taken place, lacking in lacteal fluids; as well as at other times producing excess acidity and an excess of the acid flows.

12. We also have a deflection in the connections between the cerebrospinal (in the same areas) and the superficial circulation.

13. Hence we have conditions in the sensory system, as from the teeth and gums; the hearing at times, the eyes; and at TIMES the taste is affected.

14. These also tend to make for the tendency for the body to easily respond to cold or congestion. And then the lymph flow, in soft tissue of portions of the face, the throat, become easily involved.

15. Oft, then, the applications have been made for the EFFECTS produced, without the causes of the disturbances being removed. And then we have the inclinations.

16. Then, with long standing, the system attempting to adjust itself, these become what are called constitutional weaknesses in portions of the body.

17. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, in the mental activity, the body has often driven itself to active forces physically when the whole of the mental system AND physical system was tired. This produces strains to be sure upon the sympathetic nervous system; though routine and rote are the natural reactions in the activities of this body.

18. In the actions through the sensory system we find the greater disturbances are from deflections, as indicated; which should respond with the applications which we will indicate - and these will be taken into consideration with that as we find which should bring near to normal forces eventually for this body.

19. We find in the throat, bronchi, lungs and larynx - as indicated - an excess of poisons; and these oftentimes have produced congestion through those areas indicated. But ORGANICALLY we do not find conditions which would not respond, with the corrections which we will indicate as related to circulation; if the assimilating system is corrected and the adjustments are made as to allow normal flow through those portions of the body.

20. The heart's activity, as related to the deeper circulation - as we have indicated, the katabolism is

1563-1 Page 3

disturbed; that is, the effect of the replenishing of energies used in the system.

21. Hence we find the body has the more recently experienced periods when it easily tires, and as it were is DRAINED of all its strength - through the very inability of the system, through this character of disturbance, to replenish the activities.

22. Not of age, not of those things that would be called the wearying or wearing down of the body; but such a heaviness from poisons that the system becomes easily tired, easily fagged.

23. This is a conditions which arises from many causes, as may be indicated from that given. Weaknesses in portions of the system, the lack of assimilation. Not that the body needs a stimuli, or tonics or medicinal properties to overtax the system in some other direction; but there needs to be the releasing of those hindrances in the activities of the system so that the body may replenish itself nominally.

24. In the digestive forces - here we find disturbances of a sympathetic nature. At times NOTHING apparently agrees; at others we find most anything may be digested. These are the reflexes from disturbing conditions in the bodily functions and activities as indicated.

25. The heart, as related to the liver, spleen, pancreas and the gall duct or the duodenum - all of these are under distress at times.

26. Hence those periods when there is shortness of breath, a fullness across the lower portion of the stomach, across the right side and at others across the left side a little lower down. All arise from REFLEX conditions.

27. The lack of eliminations being normal or proper, there are at times temperatures produced in the lower portion of the digestive system - or as related to the lower part of the duodenum; then at such times we have the disturbances of a little gas reaction. All of these become a portion of the disturbances for the body.

28. As related to the circulatory forces, as well as the organs' disturbances between the liver and the lower hepatic circulation - or the kidneys; these at times give some disturbance, with the excess acid - as the heaviness through the small of the back, extending to the lower portion of the lumbar centers and through the sacral areas.

29. At such periods we find the inclination for the lower limbs to feel leadened and heavy, and even at times - under certain atmospheric pressures - there is some little swelling, to even the feet. Not a great deal; but these become part of the conditions.

30. THEN, IN MAKING CORRECTIONS FOR THIS BODY, Mrs. [1563] we are speaking of; first:

31. We would have a series - not too great in number at first, but a series - of deep osteopathic manipulations and adjustments. The first series would be twice each week for a period of about three weeks.

32. Then leave off these for at least two weeks.

33. The next series then would be begun, with a treatment ONCE a week for at least a month - or two months - of the osteopathic adjustments.

34. During the two week rest period between the series of osteopathic treatments, we would use the plain violet ray - hand machine - bulb applicator; NOT during the periods when the manipulations or adjustments are being given. Use just before retiring, for about a minute, along the cerebrospinal system; and especially across the diaphragm area; that is, at the 9th dorsal or just below or opposite the stomach more specific (from the back, you see); as well as along the lumbar and sacral area.

35. When the last series of the osteopathic treatments would be begun, then use the violet ray once a week (instead of every night, you see) - while the osteopathic treatments are also being given once a week. For these will supply new energies, new activities.

36. Also we would begin immediately and take the Alcaroid for at least a week; the dose being once every other day, AFTER the heavy meal ONLY - whether this is morning, noon or evening (because the body changes at times in these directions). Dissolve a quarter teaspoonful of the Alcaroid first in a small quantity of water, then add a full glass of water and drink; then rinse the glass and drink another full glass of water. (The body doesn't drink ENOUGH water! because of the disturbances that have been at times for the kidneys.)

37. Then, during the last week of the first series of osteopathic adjustment, we would have at least two colonic irrigations; this in one week, yes. This will not weaken the body if these are taken properly; body-temperature and with salt and soda in the first water. Use a level teaspoonful of the baking soda and a heaping teaspoonful of table salt, to a gallon or gallon and a half of the body-temperature water for such colonic irrigations. In the last, or rinse water (body-temperature), use a tablespoonful of Glyco-Thymoline; that there may not be irritations to the lower colon and to the disturbances that have occurred in the lower part - or about the second and third sphincter muscular forces in the lower portion of the abdomen.

1563-1 Page 5

38. Now the diets: Make at least these corrections. Have eighty percent alkalin-PRODUCING foods to twenty percent acid-producing; that is, never eat white bread; never have potatoes - that is, white potatoes - with spaghetti or with meats - no two of these at the same meal. Use only fish, fowl and lamb as the meats; except occasionally a little very crisp breakfast bacon may be taken.

39. No fried foods at any time, not even fried cakes - though corn bread and whole wheat bread may be taken.

40. Have plenty of citrus fruit juices (but never at the same meal with cereals). Prunes and stewed fruits may be taken.

41. Plenty of leafy vegetables - all of these, but not cooked with meats! Cook them rather in their OWN juices.

42. Do these.

43. For the local disturbances; as with teeth and gums. Use Ipsab as a hardener; for it will prevent the irritation to the gums. But the CORRECTIONS made osteopathically in the cervical area will also aid the circulation to these. When Ipsab is used, massage with the finger or with a tuft of cotton. Use every day for the first week, then afterwards twice a week should be sufficient; not a great quantity is required, just the massage over same.

44. Do these and we will find better conditions throughout all the sensory organs. As for the eyes, we will find that these will be strengthened by the use of the violet ray eye applicator at least once or twice a week - during the latter portion of the osteopathic treatments, or during the latter portion of the whole series of treatments, and then from time to time later on. If there will be the determination in this direction (and the body's determination is very well!), we will find the STRENGTHENING to these - and not the fear that has gradually crept in.

45. Ready for questions.

46. (Q) What causes snoring? (A) Those conditions in the throat, owing to the lack of the blood flow through that portion of the system. With those corrections osteopathically in the areas governing the circulation or impulses to these areas, this will be materially changed.

47. (Q) What is condition of tonsils? (A) In the present some inflammation. But these will not need other than that indicated, if these will be followed; the electrical treatments and the adjustments.

48. (Q) What causes ridges in finger nails? (A) The lack of the correction in the katabolism of the

1563-1 Page 6

system. Katabolism is the reflex action of the glandular forces of the bodily functions. This is the lack of the glandular force in the thyroids. Well - with the corrections and the stimulations through the electrical vibrations, these will change; gradually, to be sure.

49. (Q) What causes itching in face? and arms? (A) The poor circulation. These will be materially changed with the applications suggested.

50. (Q) What causes slightly discolored discharge? (A) The activity through the glandular system, that will be gradually corrected - especially with the use of the colonic irrigations.

51. (Q) What can be done to remove brown spot from bridge of nose? (A) This may be changed considerable by the use of the Black and White Cold Creams, provided the violet ray is used as indicated. The Black and White (the Genuine Black and White; not Plough's) are the better cosmetics for the skin.

52. (Q) What causes the hair to fade? How may life be restored? (A) Use the scalp applicator of the violet ray occasionally. The general stimulation to the activities of the glandular system, with these applications indicated, will aid much. For remember, all of these - the cuticle, the skin, the hair, the activities of all of these natures - arise from the functionings of the thyroid system, see? When these corrections are made as indicated, then, we will find many changes coming about. Do those things indicated, and we will bring a much nearer normal condition; and a great deal of STABILITY - and this fear that has gradually crept in will be eliminated. Be constructive in Creative Forces as related to the spiritual experiences. These are well.
