1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of Mr. [1565], present in this room, and his associates and associations, especially his brothers-in-law [2588] and [257]. You will answer the questions which we will ask you regarding all phases of his life.

2. EC: We have the body, the enquiring mind, Mr. [1565]. This we have had before. Also those associations and relations that surround the body. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) Considering my business in ..., am I justified in offering the creditors 30% in order to be able to continue the business? or should I go into bankruptcy and go out of the tailoring business entirely? (A) Now, these conditions have been considered in that as has been given the body. The conditions are such that, with changes in policies and in surroundings, the body would do well to make the settlement and to continue in the tailoring business; not neglecting the other associations and business in which the body is interested. NOT that it becomes necessary for the body to divide interests. Rather that the different PHASES of the body's natural developments and abilities may be expended IN the different DIRECTIONS, and the success made of same. There is seen that the change in policy in some directions in tailoring business is necessary. This, however, can be made, and the business made successful.

4. (Q) Mr. Wycoff, representing the creditors, wrote a letter to [...] to their corresponding attorneys, which I have seen. How can I refer to this to Wycoff without betraying this confidence of their [...] lawyers and forcing Wycoff to do what is right? What shall I say? (A) There should be presented in THIS way and manner, "that I (this almost the conversation) have reasons to believe that such and such (naming the conditions which were seen, or FELT by the body) - that there have been these conditions set forth, or these insinuations set forth, and I am willing

to lay the whole of the transactions of the business, in its full phases, before the proper authorities to demonstrate and show that such has NOT been the case". This can be done, and this may be shown as conclusive faith and evidence, and when approached in such a manner there needs be little fear that this will not be accepted in the same manner in which it is presented.

5. (Q) Will the creditors accept the 30% or will they hold out for the 50% that they ask, or force bankruptcy? (A) There can be an equitable DIFFERENCE between the two, that can be acceptable and workable for each. This can be reached through the talking, or the meeting of these together and considering every condition in hand.

6. (Q) What effect will it have on the future management and success of my business? (A) As has been indicated, there will be of necessity a change in the policies. For a time it will apparently be of an indeterminate nature or effect upon the business, but in the very near future there will be, WITH the change in policies, the correct attitude - and the business WILL succeed.

7. (Q) Should Mr. [257] intercede for me with the American Credit Adjustment Association? If so, how should he approach it, or would it be better to handle entirely through [...] attorneys? (A) This may be of aid, but should first be handled entirely through [...] attorneys - for, with the meeting of the groups that are represented by Wycoff and by others, there can be an equitable agreement reached. Then, should there be the necessity of a pressure in the direction as indicated, this may be handled WITHOUT even the full APPROACH of the body [257] TO the situation - see?

8. (Q) Should I take on the new designer and attempt to rebuild the tailoring business with my father? [592] and will we be successful in 1930? (A) Take on the new designer and rebuild the business through those changes of policies as are imminent in the mind of self, and the due consideration should be given the father.

9. (Q) Will I continue to be successful in holding my restaurant business at the same time? (A) This is as has been indicated. Successful.

10. (Q) Will I live in ... always or when will I make a change and where to? (A) That depends entirely upon the actions and attitude that the body assumes toward the various conditions arising in the affairs of the body at this time. As has been

indicated, a change might be made in the present year to those places surrounding even New York, PARTICULARLY in those districts where the activities necessitate just such a handling of the business as has been and is worked by the body; or the body, to clarify self and self's interest and self's position, had better - in the next two to three years - CLARIFY the conditions in ...

11. (Q) Is it for the best interests for all concerned that my brother-in-law, Mr. [2588] join me in the buffet business in ...? (A) This would represent an IDEAL way in MANY respects; for the abilities of each are seen, and the combined forces in the attitude of the interest, the honesty, the integrity, the abilities OF these to carry these forward, would be satisfying, gratifying, helpful and more successful.

12. (Q) On what basis should Mr. [2588] join me if it is advised for him? (A) On the basis of amount invested by [2588] and of the proper ration of the efforts expended.

13. (Q) What specific industrial stock can I buy for a quick turn in March to help me get settled up? (A) Would be rather a speculative interest during March. Any of the industrials during the first portion of April or the LAST weeks in March, will be very beneficial in this direction - especially those in Westinghouse and Radio.

14. (Q) What day should I sell? (A) Haven't bought 'em yet! and don't buy until they are given instructions to! for there is too much variation during the present periods, see - and during the last weeks of march or first of April these may be given.

15. (Q) What specific railroad stock should I buy for a turn in March - (A) In April there may be activity. Any of those that are of the Van Swiggan outlay. ESPECIALLY would there be in that of the Frisco, or Wabash.

16. (Q) How long should I hold? (A) That depends upon the time or the period when BOUGHT! These are speculative at present, for they are whip-sawing considerably, as has been given - and will continue so during the next ten days or two weeks.

17. (Q) What is best plan and place to raise the $6,000 to settle even the 30% settlement I am offering the creditors? (A) Through that of the restaurant or buffet association, and of those that owe the body - for many of these may be brought to an equitable settlement in the time necessary.

18. (Q) How can I improve my business standing in ...? (A) Change in the policies, as HAS been imminent. This

1565-3 Page 4

does not mean change in associates or associations, but in the manner in which the associates and associations are handled. USE that as is in hand, and as has been DETERMINED in self, in the MANNER of approach and of the various groups TO approach.

19. (Q) How can I improve my spiritual self? (A) Taking stock with self in that manner, weighing up those efforts day by day and apply self in the way as is so well known by self. Think not to cheat ANYONE but self in an overstepping of the mark in ANY direction.

20. (Q) What specific advice will the forces give me to assure my success in 1930 and future years, when carried out? (A) Study to show thyself approved unto Him, the Giver of all good and perfect gifts. let not thy evil be WELL spoken of, nor the GOOD be evil spoken of. Be honest with self, and thou will be honest with every other man. We are through. Copy to Self " " Ass'n office " " Datastician " " Self for Mr. [257] or Mr. [2588]
