Time of Reading 4:00 to 4:10 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures, answering the questions he has submitted, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes.

3. Now as we find, while conditions with this body have been very good in the main, there have been those acute conditions arising from overindulgence in that which has caused the return of the spasmodic reaction in the gastric flows of the stomach itself.

4. As we find, these will respond if there are the stimulations osteopathically in those areas that have been indicated, for the EMPTYING of the stomach - AND according to the activities in the diet, not imbibing those various activities that work as hindrances to the better conditions of the system, these will respond nominally.

5. We would take a little of the Saffron Tea, too, as first indicated. While it will not be necessary to take this for a great length of time, it should be taken for sufficient period for the system to react to the abilities of same to work with the gastric force to cleanse the whole of the digestive system. This would require some eight to ten days.

6. But afterward there may be necessitated the taking occasionally of the Alcaroid after the meal, for assimilating the gastric flow in a normal reaction.

7. We find that the body will respond to these, if they will be carried through.

8. These conditions as we find DO NOT NECESSITATE operative measures; in fact, such measures would be in the PRESENT very detrimental for the body, unless greater disturbances arise.

9. Do as we have indicated, then.

10. Ready for questions.

11. (Q) Was it the food or the drink, or both combined, taken on March 22nd, that was responsible for the attack?

(A) As indicated, it is the combination of these that causes the disturbance. As we have indicated heretofore, it is not so much any one thing but it is the combination of things that make for the disturbances and cause the gastric spasms.

12. (Q) Realizing that pyloric spasm is only a reflex and is caused by something affecting the adjacent parts or organs, can you state which parts or organs fail to function, thus causing the spasm? (A) The lower portion of the pyloric failing to empty, and producing the excess of the acids in the lower portion, the regurgitation takes place; thus causing the pyloric spasm - FROM the upper portion of the jejunum.

13. (Q) Is the cause due to a defect in, or faulty functioning of, the gall bladder? (A) Faulty functioning, and hence - as we have indicated - the necessity of keeping or RETAINING the system's drainage in these directions, and stimulated. For this has existed for a long time. Consider these now in a reasonable way and manner: In the cerebrospinal system the impulse is received for activity of EVERY organ of the system. These move in reflex activity, see? The BRAIN, or the impulse - one of white, one of gray matter as it were - acts with those those reflexes of impulses through GANGLIA along the cerebrospinal system. When there are any conditions that cause an impingement, or any deflection of activity through any of the portions of the system, the impulses are cut off, see? as we see they have been in the lower portion of the pylorus as well as in the pyloric portion of the stomach itself, see? Then for long periods that these have been fed active principles to act upon the flow to these portions WITHOUT the full correction of the impulse for the system to receive from the NERVE FORCES of the body for its activity. Hence there should be the CONTINUED osteopathic corrections, periodically; and the adherence to diet, the refraining from ANY of the influences that would cause a reflex spasmodic condition to the gastric organs and to the gall duct - UNTIL the system has been able to adjust itself through PROPER stimulation to the ganglia of the cerebrospinal system. Do that, and we will find we will keep the body in a better normal condition.

14. (Q) Are there stones in the gall bladder? (A) We do not find such. Rather are there sediments in the gall DUCT area, rather than in the bladder itself.

15. (Q) Is the appendix in any way involved? (A) Only sympathetically, from regurgitations - as it draws upon the inability for activities through all of the abdominal muscles and areas.

16. (Q) Is the pancreas in any way involved? (A) The pancreas, of course, suffers especially with those activities to and of the gall duct, as well as the pylorus, - but not fuctionally, only sympathetically. And if the corrections osteopathically will be adhered to, if the admonitions will be followed as to diet and as to INDULGENCES, we may correct these conditions entirely. Do that indicated.
