At home of Time of Reading Mrs. Lucy A. Cooney 3:40 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. 921 Oak St. Decatur, Alabama. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1570]. (Born 12/30/33 in ..., Ala.)
2. As we find, and as indicated, the disturbances are the after effect of the bacillus that raised the temperature in the lymph circulation to such an extent as to cause the paralysis through the locomotories, especially in the lower limb.
3. In administering for the conditions of this body, as we find:
4. First, we would pay particular attention - in the developments of the bodily functions - to all the activities of the glandular system.
5. First we would begin, then, and give one minim of Atomidine in about a tablespoonful of water each morning before the meal for three mornings. Then wait five days. Then give the same dosage for three days again. The body may drink, or it is better to drink, a little water afterwards. Continue giving in this manner, for three days and then wait five days, for two or three rounds. Then leave off for a whole month, and then continue again. But the activity of the iodine upon the glandular system will be to gradually, with the other applications which we will give, cleanse the glandular system and cause a better and an increased circulation.
6. Also we would begin with the gentle massage; not heavy, but to gradually break up the thickening of tissue which has prevented and does prevent the activity of the locomotory centers, through the lumbar and throughout the sacral area. As this massage is given, it is well that the fingers be dipped into sweet oil every three or four minutes, so that

this is absorbed by the body. Extend this, of course, around either side of the groin; also on the lower side in the caecum area as well as on the left side through the areas that make for the activity of the sphincter centers through that portion.
7. Do this, and then later - within three to six months - we would begin with the use of the Wet Cell Appliance carrying Gold; in the proportions of one grain Chloride of Gold to one ounce of distilled water. The attachments would be made in this manner:
8. The first or small anode would be attached to the lumbar plexus, or the 4th lumbar axis, see? while the other, the larger plate, through which the Gold Solution passes, would be attached last - to the umbilicus and lacteal duct.
9. The attachments would be made for only about twenty minutes at a treatment, three days a week.
10. Doing these - with the massage and with the precautions, with the activity as will be given with these - we find that in a little while (compared to what may be the development) there may be brought much nearer to normal activity.
11. Ready for questions.
12. (Q) Any advice regarding diet? (A) This is to be kept, of course, with plenty of the vitamins necessary for replenishing and building; though not to become too heavy. Of course, vitamins from the Cod Liver Oil will be very well. Plenty of milk, and this - to be sure - should always be that which has been sterilized or heated sufficient for most of the bacilli to have been destroyed, you see, yet not so much as to produce the activity upon the casein as to become hard on the digestion or to make the inclinations for greater constipating activity. Buttermilk gradually will be worked into the diet, with - of course - vegetable juices that do not carry too much grease but those salts of the vegetables; as beans, cabbage, lentils, and all those of the natures that are of the green vegetables. Do these as we find for the better condition of this body. Of course, keep up the massage, gently. Do not let too long a period elapse between the applications of the massage.
