1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Mrs. [1573].
2. Now as we find, there is a combination or complication of disturbances.
3. Hence many of these descriptions may appear or sound very much as if a great deal was the trouble.
4. Yet as we find, with the corrections of the main disturbances, many of those that arise as reflex conditions would be relieved - and help brought for the body.
5. Thus, it will require that precautions be taken and the activities be kept up, even after the body has obtained relief, if we would eliminate these tendencies.
6. For if allowed to continue, these would in the long run not only cause a great deal of disturbance but make for very aggravating conditions in the physical forces.
7. These, then, are disturbances as we find them with this body, [1573]:
8. The blood supply shows an acidity in the system, as also an effect of the lack of proper eliminations.
9. Thus we have a disturbance in the circulation as related to the metabolism and the pressures produced in the system - in the heart's activity itself.
10. Hence with exercise or undue excitement there is shortness of breath, with disturbance through those areas of the circulation between the lungs AND the heart and the liver; though not an organic heart disturbance.
11. In the nerve system we find the effects of pressures, of poisons, from the toxic forces and the acidity, producing a neuralgic condition in the muscular forces of the small of the back, and about the channels from which the hepatic circulation receives its impulse to the lower portion - or through the kidneys, bladder and the eliminations of the system.
12. This condition produces a great deal of disturbance at times, and a stiffness; and may produce a neuritic reaction

unless measures are taken to relieve sources of infection that will cause a continued disturbance of this nature to arise unless these are eliminated.
13. Not only would this work a hardship upon the digestive and assimilating system, but is inclined to make for the inclination for the body to put ON more weight than is necessary for the better conditions of the bodily forces themselves, as well as producing the inability for sufficient activity for the better forces in the system.
14. In the functioning of the organs - as may be indicated from the very nature and character of disturbance - many conditions of a mild nature - or that apparently at times become a main issue, or disturbance - arise in the body; as from the throat, the effect to the organs of the sensory system; sometimes a roaring in the head, ears, a fullness in the throat; even a mistiness and a dizziness from the eye condition; the disturbings or upset at times with the digestive forces.
15. All of these become a portion of the disturbing factors.
16. But as we find, if we will reduce the acidity, increase the eliminations, causing the extermination from the system of the poisons that effect or produce the neuralgic condition in the muscular forces, and then these kept gradually in order, we would have a much bettered condition for the body.
17. First we would begin, then, as this:
18. After the heaviest meal taken - whether it is the morning, noon or evening meal - at least for three or four days - take Alcaroid.
19. When this has been taken about two or three days, then take the Caroid and Bile Salts Tablets for just one day, you see; taking same thirty minutes after the meal; one tablet after the morning meal, one tablet after the noon meal, and two tablets after the evening meal.
20. Rest from these then for several days, and then begin with the Alcaroid again; though there may not be the necessity for taking the Caroid and Bile Salts again - unless there comes a bad taste, or the effect or feeling of gas, or pains in the muscular forces.
21. Also we would apply immediately an equal mixture of Mutton Suet (melted), Spirits of Turpentine, Spirits of Camphor and Compound Tincture of Benzoin, over the painful areas along the spine and the lower portion of the dorsal and lumbar area. Mix these ingredients together, of course; melting the Mutton Suet and then adding an equal quantity of each of the others to same. Massage the whole mixture, when stirred together, into the back and over the areas.

22. Then apply over same the Epsom Salts, saturated solution, HOT.
23. These as we find will bring relief.
24. Also we find that the taking of enemas would relieve the pressures. Have the water body-temperature, and make a saline-soda solution - when using the enemas. To each gallon and a half of the water put a level teaspoonful of baking soda and a heaping teaspoonful of table salt. Then in the last or rinse water, have an antiseptic - or use an antiseptic solution, that there may be no disturbance through the colon. Use an alkaline antiseptic, such as Lavoris or Glyco-Thymoline - about a tablespoonful to the gallon.
25. We would also be mindful with the diet. Do not eat fried foods of any kind.
26. At least twice a day we would take about two ounces of Welch's Grape Juice; take it about half an hour before the meal. It may be taken three times a day! at least half an hour before the meal - two ounces of Welch's Grape Juice and one ounce of water; preferably plain water rather than carbonated water, see.
27. Do not take cereals AND citrus fruit juices at the same meal. Do not eat much of fats, nor quantities of butter. None of those fats from meats of any nature. And refrain from all characters of hog meat.
28. During the second or third round of taking the Alcaroid, we find that the GENERAL osteopathic adjustments would be helpful; these given in the direction for increasing drainages throughout the system. Hence special stimulation should be given to all of the upper dorsals and throughout the cervical area. Four or five of these should be sufficient.
29. Do these, and we find we will bring the better conditions for this body.
30. Ready for questions.
31. We are through for the present. [See 1573-1, Par. R1.] Copy to Self " " Ass'n file
