1. EC: (In going back over years from present - " - 1935 - yes - the manifestation of the adverse forces from Venus - '34 - " etc., on back to birth date.)
2. Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called Mr. [1583].
3. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them here, these as we find are inclinations gathered from the varied experiences of an individual mentally or materially, that may influence the entity under varied circumstances or environs.
4. Thus we find these are innate and latent, and manifested according to the application of the entity's will in respect to choices made regarding those things which appear as activities of the entity in the present from one sojourn to another, or from one experience to another.
5. The purposes here are to indicate and to direct the entity to the comprehension and knowledge of the continuity of life and its experiences in the earth.
6. And if there will be the natural trend of the entity in these directions, there may be from the very nature of that builded in the experience of the entity much that may be gained that would be applicable in the present undertaking of the entity.
7. We refer to the gaining of an understanding as to the purpose for which each entity enters an experience in the present sojourn, and why - through environment or hereditary forces from the psychological aspects - it may be presented with the opportunities of this or that experience.
8. Then as to what the entity does about these opportunities becomes rather the choice of the entity as related to what the entity has held and does hold as its ideal.
9. Thus, in the experience of an entity that is of a
1583-1 Page 2
constructive nature, it makes for a success in either the mental, the material or the spiritual aspects of the entity's experience.
10. The various phases of man's abilities lie within the ideals that are set or chosen as the standards of the entity's activity.
11. Then as to whether they become constructive forces and influences, or those that make for derogatory influence in the activity of an entity, depends upon how sincerely and how purposefully these are applied in the experience.
12. In this entity we find very definite urges, very definite likes and dislikes, from the application of self not only as related to the innate forces from the astrological aspects but from the earthly sojourns. These have become a portion of the entity's experience in the present.
13. Through the astrological aspects in Mercury we find a high mental ability; analytical in every phase of its relationships.
14. As indicated, there have been complimentary as well as adverse influences in Venus; which make for not only friendships but the marital relationships, the beauty and the ideal, as well as the strained relationships that have arisen. The activities have been such that these have been the experience of the entity.
15. It is true that the influences may be in the nature of the adverse or benevolent, but as to what the entity does about them depends upon the entity itself; whether the application is in the attitude of a constructive influence, to create hope, understanding, peace, harmony, or otherwise. For the entrance of an entity into a material experience or sojourn is for the purpose of using such influences constructively.
16. As to whether the abilities and faculties are used in these directions or for the satisfying or gratifying of those things that are of a selfish nature, or of such natures as to gratify the ego or the self-purpose, or to build up the excuses for little hates or petty jealousies, or to allow these to become those factors upon which the mental energies are expended, depends upon how sincere the entity is as to those ideals that are set in a spiritual and a constructive manner.
17. In Mars there have been adverse as well as constructive influences, in that angers, wrath, pettiness at times have been a part of the entity's experience. These may be accredited by the entity within self to that of self-effacement or the like, yet are they in keeping with
1583-1 Page 3
that you would worship in your concept of your Maker?
18. Are they such that they are ever constructive in the very ways and manners that your abilities have directed and do direct you in aiding, assisting others in the choice of their profession, or of their undertakings in the material way and manners?
19. These have not always been so.
20. Then, indeed should the entity turn to that within the inner self in the analyzing of the purposes and the desires of that as would be accomplished in the experience of the associations with others, to such an intent, to such a purpose, to such a desire.
21. Know from what source they rise, and the author of same - that the author is able to keep that you may commit unto same in ANY experience, against EVERY influence that may arise in your experience.
22. For the spirit is willing, but oft has the flesh been weak in seeking for SELF fame and fortune.
23. Fame and fortune, then, are to be the RESULTS of the application of abilities in a field or service or activity in which constructive experiences and influences are brought within the realm of activity of those with whom you may be associated.
24. No matter in what field of activity the abilities are directed, let them ever be constructive. Then you will find in your activities that which will bring harmonious experiences, and the conviction within self that your life, your experience, your opportunities have been expended in a constructive way and manner.
25. Thus you may indeed find life worth living, and the activities thereof measuring up to the immutable laws; that what you sow will be reaped in your experience; that what you measure to your fellow man is the indication of your concept of your Maker, your Creator.
26. For, according to the sincerity with which you seek, according to the purpose with which you desire, you create that influence and force that is given out, that is the spirit and the POWER to your activity in your dealings with your fellow man.
27. Then, as to the combined influences from the astrological aspects - but irrespective of what may be done about same, we find:
28. There are the abilities to be analytical. There are abilities in those fields of activity in which aid may be given to others for a constructive influence in their experience.
29. The entity may engage in a field of service wherein it
1583-1 Page 4
may aid others in the choice of their activity; or the entity may aid in any activity in which data of a detailed nature would form the basis or background from which conclusions are to be drawn in the study of human relationships.
30. As to the sojourns in the earth, we find these are very varied - and yet FEW comparatively in number that influence the entity in the present experience, and in the activities of the present portion of this given experience.
31. Before this we find the entity was in the English land, during those periods just forty-four or forty-eight years B.C.
32. We find it was during the activities of that call the Roman land, when the entity was among those who were chosen to seek out the abilities or the effects of associations with the sojourners of the land now known as England.
33. Or the entity was to seek as to what in a commercial way, or in trade, or in activities, might be gained by the expending of time and individual service and activity in that particular land, or that phase of man's endeavor in the earth during that particular period.
34. Favorable were the reports, owing to not only the minerals but the other commercial values in the land; the chalks, the mines, the activities in the many channels for not only the conveniences but for the filling in of activities for the Roman peoples at that period.
35. In the experience the entity was known as Edburt in the English land, or the Britain land - as now called.
36. The influence from that sojourn we find in the present pertaining to a judgement as to the abilities of soils, and activities of the tillers of the soil; interests in mines; interests in undertakings together from nature's or the earth's storehouse valuables for the convenience and for the progress of individuals' activities in their varied spheres.
37. And these may be applied in thy service in the present in aiding individuals to choose, by their tendencies and temperaments, the varied fields of service in which the activities may be drawn for the greater mental and material satisfaction, as to attitudes in their application and in relationships to others.
38. Before that we find the entity was in the land now called the Promised Land, during those periods when the last or the third group of peoples returned from the activities in the Persian or Indian land.
39. The entity was among those who came into the Holy City with the activities of Nehemiah, when there were the gatherings rather for the rebuilding of the walls and the
1583-1 Page 5
making of the covenant or the pacts or agreements with the peoples roundabout. Also there were to be reports made to the king - yes, kings - who had given the decree or who had allowed these peoples to return for their own religious undertakings, for their own activities as sought - who might supply benefits in many ways to those peoples that had been long served.
40. Hence we find the entity was not only closely associated and affiliated with the activities of those who stood in the position of the military leaders for defense (as would be called today), but also with those who were in authority as the builders in the land; as well as those in authority for the translating of the writings or records of the prophets of old, or those who had acted in the capacity of gathering together the records of the promises for the future generations - yes, the shortcomings and what might be expected as the outcome when individuals applied themselves in this or that direction, according to not only the spiritual law but the mental and the moral relationships as well!
41. For as Life is continuous, so are the faculties or abilities of the body, the mind and soul. These must coordinate and cooperate, if they will bring into any given experience of an entity that which may be the best in his undertaking.
42. The name then was Shuphat.
43. As to the application of those influences in the present: We will find the building trades, those as pertain to political influences in the undertakings of nations, states, cities, of an interest to the entity.
44. Also there are the abilities in the present to gather data for those who act in the capacity of the leaders or directors.
45. The entity has the ability to render service in any or all of these fields in the present.
46. Before that we find the entity was in the land now known as the Egyptian, when there had been the settlings of disputes in the land, when there had been the gathering together of those for the greater undertakings in the varied fields of service.
47. It was when those in authority had gathered together and made preparations for the entering into the experience of a NEW undertaking.
48. The entity was among those who were chosen, because of the preparations of those with whom the entity became associated, to segregate those individuals into the fields chosen for their service in the material manifestations.
1583-1 Page 6
Some were chosen to become strictly commercial, some were to adhere to what in the present is known as science; some were to be given to the arts; some to the studies as to the political influence, religious influence, home building, state building; and some were to prepare for services in others lands.
49. Then the entity was among those who were put at the head of the departments that were to choose these from the young and old, as you would term. Their preparations were made for same through the activities in the schools (you would call them such), or the Temples of Sacrifice and the Temple Beautiful as termed in those periods.
50. There the entity gave the greater service. There the entity gained the more.
51. And from that sojourn the entity may find in the present experiences a greater service for soul and mental development in the present application of those same abilities; as well as becoming the channel through which there may be the greater peace and harmony expressed through self to others.
52. The name then was Aarth-elk.
53. As to the abilities of the entity in the present:
54. First, study to show thyself approved in all good conscience to that thou hast set and dost set as thy ideal in the spiritual, the mental, the material realms.
55. These, to be true, must coordinate and cooperate, not only in thy own mind but in thy own purpose.
56. Know that the Mind is the Builder.
57. Then rightly divining the words of truth, keeping self unspotted or unsullied from those things that would make question marks in thy own conscience, SHOW FORTH THE LOVE TO OTHERS - by the service rendered - that ye would be a channel of blessings to others for thy Lord's namesake!
58. Ready for questions.
59. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file " " Mr. [261]
