R E A D I N G
Born March 17, 1883, [2:15 P.M.] in New York City. Time of Reading 11:25 to 12:15 Noon - Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Life Reading Suggestion)
1. EC: (In going back over years from present - "1937 - not so well! - '36, '35 - '20 - yes - yes - " etc., on back to birth date.)
2. Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called Miss [1599].
3. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find here, first we would give some warnings to the entity as to the manner it is using its abilities in the present.
4. There is little wonder that there is confusion within self. There is little wonder that what at times is accredited to the astrological aspects appears to be averse.
5. For the entity not always has been true in this experience to self.
6. Knowledge is well, and understanding is good; but to use these in a manner in which self - the own ego - is to be exalted, makes for confusion to those who would seek to know their place in the activities of the realm of opportunity that is given in the present.
7. From the astrological aspects we find that these, as has just been indicated, vary from that ordinarily accredited to the astrological data - but because of the manner in which the entity in the present has applied self in relationships to same.
8. Hence as these studies from the mental angle have been and are a portion of the experience of the entity, leave these rather to thine OWN seeking in same.
9. For ye are allowing much of the material things to become the stumblingblock to thy spiritual and thy soul development.
10. Hence rather than the changing of these - for they are only inclinations, tendencies - we find that there must be in the heart, in the mind, in the soul of every entity that
1599-1 Page 2
which is its ideal, its god, its trust, its hope!
11. And they that trust in themselves alone are not wise!
12. Rather know WHO is the author, then, of thy wisdom. WHO is the keeper of thy hopes? In WHOM have ye believed?
13. These should be, these MUST be, first those determinations within self. Not because of this or that formula for the arousing of the emotions within the physical being for an experience alone that may be the connection between the spiritual and the mental self within to be trusted.
14. If these are to be used for self-aggrandizement, self-indulgences, do they not become rather as He gave of old? "Ye shall come and say, Did we not in thy name heal the sick? did we not in thy name cast out demons?" and He will say, "Depart from me, I never knew you!" Why? WHY?
15. Because the desire, the purpose is that self may be exalted, rather than the humbleness of the heart before Him. For he that would be the greatest must be the servant of all.
16. THESE be those things that ye must choose within thine own experience.
17. For there is ever, as given of old, set before thee each day good and evil, life and death - choose thou!
18. These are not, then, other than that thy prayer should ever be: "Lord, here am I - Use me in the way THOU seest that I may be the greater channel of blessings to those I meet day by day."
19. For until ye are willing to LOSE thyself in service, ye may not indeed know that peace which He has promised to give - to all.
20. For as he gave, "My peace I leave with you - my peace I GIVE unto you." Not as the world giveth peace, but that which is able to keep thee ever as in the shadow of His wing.
21. As to the appearances in the earth, then, we find these quite varying - in the environs as well as the inclinations that have been brought into the emotions of the ENTITY in the present.
22. And those influences in the emotions, unless they be governed by an ideal, often may become as a stumbling-stone.
23. But use rather thy choices, thy endeavors, thy experiences, in a way and manner that they may become stepping-stones for a greater comprehension, a greater awakening of that consciousness of the Creative Forces of good, of hope, of faith, of brotherly love, of kindness, of gentleness; yea, of patience.
24. For too oft have ye lost thy concept of what patience
1599-1 Page 3
means! And as He gave, "In PATIENCE become ye AWARE of your souls!"
25. Before this we find the entity was in the land of the present nativity, during those periods when there were the first settlings in the land, in and about the present sojourn; when there were those questionings as to whether those lands were to be under this or that rule from associations and connections.
26. The entity was in the household and the environs of those who made what would be called in the present the political or national alliances.
27. Hence we find the entity oft is inclined to be a "joiner," as it were, to this or that movement, this or that cult, this or that faction. Or there is the inclination to have an interest in social conditions as they regulate the activity of groups, MORE than as political fervor; or rather the interest in how these may be used for increasing the popularity or the working out of those factors in the experiences of others to make them know their place.
28. Is this founded in brotherly love? Answer within thine own self.
29. While these may have been misused or misapplied in thy experiences and associations, know that ye - as each soul - are constantly meeting thy OWN self day by day!
30. For as He has given, the whole law is to love the Father - in mind, in body, in soul - and thy neighbor as thyself.
31. These are ONE. There are no preferences before Him, save they that love His ways - for they are a part of HIM, that do such.
32. The name then was Flo Hemindeger. These are a part of some records of that household activity in those days of yore.
33. Before that we find the entity was in the French activity in the early periods of the preparations for the Crusade undertakings for an idea - rather than the whole of an ideal.
34. The entity in that experience was of the opposite sex, and among those who were aroused not so much by sincerity but by the expediency for enlarging the vision and exploitations; yet with the outward avowed purpose of holding to a faith - or a desire to rule by power.
35. And these brought retardment. But with the periods in what is now the Turkish land (not even reaching the Holy Land), when coming under the influence of those whom the entity had avowed to destroy, and seeing the variations in the manner in which there were ministerings to the needs of body during the periods of distress through captivity and
1599-1 Page 4
injury in body, there came a change in the experience. And the latter portion of the entity's sojourn in that experience was one of development; eventually returning to the southern portions of that land in and about Cannes.
36. There, on the return, the entity made the greater practical applications of those tenets with which it had started forth, or for which it had started forth: Love thy neighbor as thyself, and as ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them.
37. And from that experience there arises within the INNATE forces of the entity in the present the ability in a psychic nature; the ability to be AROUSED! Yet how have ye used that? or how MAY ye use that?
38. For remember, as given, ye are constantly meeting thyself!
39. The name then was Jaun Bettelli.
40. From the activities in that experience, if ye will meditate the more upon how that as He gave, love and forgiveness, faith and hope may overcome spites, fears, distrust, ye may open thy heart, ye may open thyself to the opportunities that CONSTANTLY lie before thee in thy activities in the present.
41. Before that we find the entity was in the now called Persian or Arabian land, during those periods when in the 'city in the hills and the plains' there were those activities in which there were the manifestations of that love of the "neighbor as thyself."
42. The entity, though, was among the Grecians who came into the land for the express purpose - by those who had undertaken such - to undermine; through the associations and activities with the peoples of the city for its undoing, or for its "taking" by the peoples who sought the gratification of self's interest alone.
43. Coming under the influence of Uhjltd, however, as combined with the Esedus (?) group [Endresa? Edssi? Esdena?] and those who were in command of or directed the influences to others, there came a new experience from the activities there. For those of every land were accorded the same; those who were of unclean body or unclean mind were given the hope and help that brought new experiences.
44. The entity became rather as one who aided than hindered, and was raised to the position where in later periods it became a messenger of faith and hope to those not only of her own land but to those lands in which the entity had become active in the experience.
45. Then the name was Celieo.
46. We find that in the present the entity may apply the
1599-1 Page 5
tenets of that experience, if it will turn to those influences that come to the entity from the application of self in meting to others that "ye would have measured to thee." For those laws are as immutable as Life itself, that as ye measure to others so is it meted to thee. For as ye have done and as ye do it unto the least, ye do it unto thy god-self as well as thy Maker. And ye become in same that as hinders or that as a growth.
47. Before that we find the entity was in the Atlantean land, during those periods when there were those activities that brought about the last destruction of same through the warrings between the children of the Law of One and the sons of Belial or Bel (?). [Baal]
48. There the entity was among those who waned between the children of faith or the Law of One and those who sought the use of the spiritual forces for their own self-indulgences, self-aggrandizements.
49. The entity was among those, though, who were sent to what later became or is in the present the Yucatan land, of the Mayan experience.
50. There the entity rose to one of power; yet with those very wavering experiences there was not always peace brought to the entity.
51. From same we find the desire oft innate, and manifested in certain directions or ways or means, to produce or allow effects to be produced in the emotions by rote or by odor or by the attempts to raise to the material activity by the expressive force of the mental self.
52. These are oft questions. And unless the purpose or the desire is to have HIS force, HIS power as the dominating influence, such experiences become that upon which thy neighbor may stumble.
53. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, and that to which it may attain, and how:
54. The inference may be drawn from the experiences the entity has had, from the studies the entity has made in the present, that there ARE abilities - as in each soul - to become indeed the true child of the living God; in that thine own self is a manifestation of His love.
55. Why - WHY not express same in thy dealings with thy fellow man?
56. First there must be the finding of self, then; realizing there cannot be one relation with thy fellow man and another with thy Maker, not one expressed in words and another lived in the inner life.
57. But know - "Know O Israel the Lord thy God is ONE!"
58. These sounded, these kept within, ye may rise to those
1599-1 Page 6
abilities to give, to measure out, to become a channel through which many may call thee blessed!
59. Study then to know thy relationship to thy Maker. But KNOW WHO is thy Lord, thy God!
60. Ready for questions.
61. (Q) Just what should be my life work, according to my abilities? (A) First, find SELF; and then be led by that as was first given - let thy prayer be, "Here am I, O Lord; send me, USE me!"
62. (Q) Why does the astrological chart not check? (A) As has been indicated. Astrological aspects are a matter of inclinations. And what one does about same may be another thing entirely.
63. (Q) Please give exact time of physical birth and spiritual birth. (A) These as we find coordinated almost as one. In the evening, two-fifteen. [afternoon]
64. (Q) Why does the entity not attract friends more easily? (A) Have ye not heard, have ye not learned, that if ye would have friends ye must show thyself friendly? that if ye would have love ye must show thyself lovely? Not outwardly, but as PURPOSELY! THESE be questions that may only be answered within self. For ALL are equal under the law. What is the Law? LOVE, GRACE, MERCY; so long as ye ACCORD thyself with same!
65. (Q) What would be the best metaphysical studies for me just now? (A) Fourteenth, fifteenth, sixteenth, seventeenth of John! and put thyself in same! Know that He is speaking to THEE!
66. (Q) What should the entity do for greater activity and expression? (A) Such should be the outgrowth of the purposes, rather than to be set as rules or laws. For as all phases of the human experience and relations are the outgrowth of what ye do ABOUT thy opportunities, then ye GROW to these; and they are not laid down by rules that ye are to do this or to do that! But what is thy mission? What do ye desire to do? What manner of life do ye live? LIFE itself is the expression of the Creative Force. That is eternity. What are ye doing about same!
67. (Q) Would it be wise to marry again? (A) Again it must be the choice within self. If it is for self-gratification, for self-security, know that they who would have life must give it! they who would be secured must make security for others, in the mental and spiritual sense! For these are the outgrowth, not things to be sought
1599-1 Page 7
within themselves alone!
68. (Q) What type of person for the greatest development and expression? (A) It's just given.
69. (Q) Is there some particular individual I should marry? (A) As has just been indicated.
