Born September 22, 1893, 1:30 P. M., in Wilmington, Ohio. Time of Reading 10:50 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., New York. (GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the personalities that are latent and exhibited in the present life. Also you will give the former appearances in the earth plane, the date, the place and the name, and that in that life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, and that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions that may be asked, as I ask them:)

1. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called Mrs. [1620].

2. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them, these are chosen with the desire to make the experience a helpful one in the present activities of the entity.

3. While the faults as well as the virtues are drawn, these are given that the entity - or with the desire that the entity may see self; and thus, having set its ideal, enable self to turn more to the within.

4. The natural inclinations of the entity to drift here or there, or to be overenthusiastic about this or that movement or activity - today one and tomorrow another, oft leave the entity with the experience - in its enthusiasm - of having expended all the glow or gloss or foam, and being left with the dregs only.

5. Oft such activity tends to make for questionings on the part of others. This also causes confusions and doubts. For the entity finds individuals or groups enthusiastic today, and tomorrow entirely lost in the activity of such as may for the moment be a very promising experience for the entity.

6. It is well, then, that the entity take all of those inclinations as may be presented and analyze them within the experience of self; and know that what is everyone's business is nobody's business. While, to be sure, it is

1620-2 Page 2

well to analyze and to have advice or counsel from this or that student of this or that thought or activity, the real analysis must come from within. For it is with what measure ye mete that it is measured to thee again.

7. Then it is well that there be the answer from within. For until the individual becomes enthusiastic over any movement or any activity in which it may engage itself so as to be CONSISTENT in same, it has not begun to take hold.

8. So it is well that self know self and what is the ideal; not only in what ye believe but as to Who is the author of what ye believe. Be sure that the author is able to supply mentally, physically - and above all, spiritually - that as may be the answer for every experience; whether it be in turmoil or in peace, in harmony or in discord.

9. For that which answers not ALL is to the inner self only half a truth.

10. In giving the astrological aspects, and the urges that arise in the experience of the entity from same, know that these are only innate - or are activated upon by choices that are made by the entity in relationships to same.

11. For as the body is made up in the present of the physical, the mental and the spiritual aspects, so each in its turn has its influence according to the choice the entity makes.

12. Then the end thereof, which is free-will, may be known and given a helpful force in whatever direction it is chosen.

13. Rather than these astrological aspects being an influence because the Sun, the Moon or the Planets may be under certain zodiacal signs when the entity enters, we find that they are in such positions because of what the entity has done! and these then are influences because of the associations of the real or soul self in that environ, rather than because of their material aspect or influence upon the activity of the entity.

14. For as the entity is a part of the whole, as the entity may attune itself to the universal consciousness as may manifest within, thus it is a part of the whole and not ruled by any portion of same - save as the will allows same to become the motivative force for any given activity.

15. The Moon was a sojourn of the entity. Hence oft in the developing years, though beautiful in body and in manner of expression, in its association, the entity was always called fickle - or changeable. This is a part of the entity's experience, and yet - as the entity would express self - it never intended to be such. But there are the emotions and the activities. Hence there are the needs for the entity to

1620-2 Page 3

make for the finding of the self and the purpose and the desire within.

16. Jupiter is a benevolent influence or association, or desire for the entity to impress or to be activative or dependent upon or to influence great masses of people. But know it must be individual. Do not seek to make others that you would not be yourself. Ye may not climb up higher than thine own ideal. Ask not others to do that ye would not do yourself.

17. Also we find Venus in its beautiful aspects as an influence in the experiences of the entity. Hence easily does the entity influence or control individuals, but just as easily does the entity find that - as the entity would give expression - so few are dependable! Why?

18. Ask that within self and know the answer is within self, as much as or more than within the others. For thou art a part of the whole.

19. The Uranian influences also make for the sudden changes, as well as interests in the occult or mysterious forces; and the natures of things as in their extremes are a part of the entity's experiences.

20. As we find, such astrological influences or urges arise through the innate mental forces; while the emotions arise from the sojourns of the entity in the material plane.

21. These as we find (the material sojourns) have been very, very far apart; not a great many in number, yet not all of these are given, for not all influence the entity in the experiences of the present activity - but arise from the emotional forces, or through the emotional forces of the body.

22. Before this we find the entity was in the land of the present nativity, during those early experiences of the early settlers; then in the name Amanda - or Armanda (both were used) - Ledbetter.

23. There we find the entity was an associate or companion of one who attempted to give the conveniences to many in their new surroundings.

24. Hence we will find that the entity is naturally interested in those things of a creative nature, or as would work for activities in relationships to home or environs, or the associations of individuals or groups with others; and especially in those things that may be said to be of the nature of patents, as would be termed in the present, or those things where changes or additions are being made to that already in use as in relationships to others. This as indicated makes for much of that urge for changeableness, as well as for the exceeding extremes that arise in the

1620-2 Page 4

experience from time to time.

25. Know that all such must have a spiritual inception, and not for might or power or for fame or fortune ALONE, but such as the result rather than the purpose or aim in the inception of activities of such.

26. Before that we find the entity was in the Roman land, as now called, during those experiences or activities when many changes were being made in the borders of the land; the attempts of those to rise in power because of their feelings of exaltation or the ability to rule - or the call to become the lords of the earth, as during the early periods of those activities.

27. There we find the entity was in the opposite sex during that experience, and in association or in activity with those who were sent to many of the foreign lands.

28. Hence things of an African or Arabian or Persian land, or the Norse land, the cold and heat, all of these in their extremes have a particular influence or create an emotion in the very activities of the entity.

29. The name then was Puella. In those activities the entity gained, for there was much of the purpose for those influences to create constructiveness, not only in the changes wrought but in the environs of others.

30. Hence the life during that experience was one of hardships physically, yet mentally and spiritually it was a growth throughout.

31. Before that we find the entity was in that land now known as the Promised Land, when there were those periods of the return of the children of promise to rebuild the temple, and the replenishing of the lands.

32. There we find the entity was among those under the King Xerxes, that allowed for the preparing of the way; and was close in association with both the Persian activities and the Jewish customs.

33. Hence the entity finds within self occasions when it reverts to the custom of this and the custom of that, and the activity in this particular group and that and the other. These innately; and these often - if allowed to - bring about confusion in the experiences of the entity in the material application. For the rote in relation to same becomes rather the law than that to be accomplished, or the influence it becomes as a part of the experience of the individual.

34. The name then was Susuan. In the experience we find the entity gained, for as there were those associations and activities with those in power or in authority, these made

1620-2 Page 5

for the greater concept of the relationships between men and women of those experiences and activities.

35. Before that we find the entity was in the land now known as the Egyptian, during those periods when there were turmoils and strifes through the banishment of the Priest as well as the entering of those activities of turmoils from rebellions among the King's own household as well as those of the Natives.

36. The entity was among the Natives who became imbued with the ideas and activities of the Priest, even with the banishment.

37. And, as was expressed and manifested, the entity gained a great deal through knowing and applying that truth - that first there must be lived within self that as would be the lesson taught to others.

38. In the experience the entity was known as Sel-Aid-Arr.

39. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, and that to which it may attain, and how:

40. First, know what is thy ideal. In whom have you put your trust? What are His promises to thee? How many, how much do you make those promises thine? For what purpose do ye strive with material things in this material experience? Is it for the glory of an idea, or for the glory of thy ideal? or is it merely to satisfy self?

41. Answer these questions within thine own conscience. And do not take them lightly. For they are the basis of thy philosophy, they are the questions ye must answer before thine own guardian angel that stands ever before the face of Him as is thyself!

42. In the material things - wear as an ornament, preferably a ring, the moonstone; and have the activities of all the influences of metals, especially the platinum, about thee. Their vibrations are in accord with that to keep thy animation in accord with the best thou mayest accomplish.

43. Then, study to show thyself approved, a workman not ashamed; calling always upon that which is THY promise - to Him that has promised thee!

44. We are ready for questions.

45. (Q) To what publisher or to what individual shall I turn to insure the publication of my Persian Cat's Story? (A) Viking Press.

46. (Q) Or shall I be able to finance it through my husband's patent? (A) If you deem it the best, do that.

47. (Q) Since profits from its sale would be used to further Harmony through sound, color and spirit, am I to understand that failure to negotiate its publication

1620-2 Page 6

indicates that that is not my service to give? (A) That would be ONE interpretation. But as has been indicated, most of thy problems - physical, mental, spiritual - may be answered if ye will find the answers to thy questions as to thy purposes, aims and desires! Not from without, but He hath promised to meet thee within! Remember, man looketh on the outward appearance, God looketh on the heart. How doth THY face appear to Him within thine own conscience?

48. (Q) If it is not intended that the "Harmony House" idea shall manifest, what then is my best field of service? (A) It is not that such is not to be manifested, but for what purpose is thy desire that it manifest? Is it to answer something within thee, to make for the satisfying of thine own ego? Or is it for the glory of thy Ideal? Let thy prayer be, ever - in relationship to thy activities: "LORD, HERE AM I - USE ME! NOT MY WILL BUT THINE BE DONE, IN ME, THROUGH ME - TODAY - NOW - ALWAYS!" And mean it, and do it, and live it!

49. (Q) I had planned "Harmony House" is an 18th Century English and French setting. In meditation a Tudor setting instantly appeared in my right eye. Should I follow that period of decoration if the shop materializes? (A) Is it to be done at all? Let thy conscience answer, as ye are shown the way. Remember, He will meet thee in the tabernacle - and thy body is the temple, and thy mind and thy soul is the tabernacle, and into the holy of holies ye may enter with Him! And there it may be shown thee the pattern! As to whether it is to be any or all of these will depend upon what is thy purpose.

50. (Q) What is my best field of service? (A) Spreading the light of truth! by living it, by practising it, by telling it, by acting it!

51. (Q) With more determined application on my part could I have attained to a singing career in this life? (A) You could.

52. (Q) Have I ever been a vocal artist? (A) In the Roman experience as well as in the rebuilding, a part of the first temple choir there.

53. (Q) Did I live in the Tudor period? (A) As indicated, this is an expression - but not an activity.

54. (Q) Have I ever lived in Japan? (A) In the mind, yes; in the experience, yes; in the

1620-2 Page 7

physical, no.

55. (Q) Have I known my husband, Mr. [...], before? If so, when? (A) Known him several times before, some to good and some to bad! That's why those misunderstandings, and yet that which holds thee together!

56. (Q) Should I undertake the sale of the Scientific Treatise, "The Ultimate Particle," what procedure should I follow? (A) Find that within self, rather than through here. Apply that as has been indicated. Would you like for others to present it to thee? What is it to fill in the lives and the hearts of others? What has it filled in thee? Then the answer, "As ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them."

57. (Q) Periodically for months I smelled either glycerine or witchhazel upon awakening. Can I employ either of these gainfully to aid others? (A) Part of the oils used in temple service, and these are emotions that arise from experiences. These are only signs, not as directions; rather as assurances. Do not use them as directions. Keep them as assurances.

58. (Q) After seeing Lost Horizon - [remainder not said: for several minutes the odor of rarefied air, or some similar chemical substance, was present. Has this any significance?] (A) (Interrupting) We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file
