1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions he has submitted, as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [1623]; this we have had before.

3. As we find, there is considerable change - or improvement - in the general physical forces of the body in the present from that as we have had here at other periods.

4. However, there is much yet to be desired; and the recurrent disturbances in the present as we find take on a little different nature or manner of affectation - though if the disturbances are allowed to continue we might expect a resultant condition of greater disturbance through the abilities of locomotion as related to the extremities and through portions of the torso.

5. In the present, though, we find there is greater anxiety in the areas of disturbance through gaseous formations, between the liver and the lower hepatic circulation.

6. These as we find are the natural or normal results from the very nature of the disturbances which have been and are the cause of the conditions with this body.

7. We find there has been rather the disturbance in the gall duct; not so much within the bladder, though naturally with the inflammation or filling there is the tendency for dilation - causing the reaction more in the duct itself which drains into the system for the activity of the assimilation and digestion. This also causes the end of the duodenum, or the emptying of this into those areas of the jejunum, to close or swell. This is inclined to make for a nature of regurgitation. All of this arose from those disturbances or conditions which have been formerly indicated.

8. In making such disturbance, naturally there is the lack of the elimination, or the association of circulatory forces as related to the activities of the system to the lower

hepatics or to the kidneys. Thus we find the effectual activity of this in eliminating certain forms of acids from the system becomes more or less through the inflammatory forces as reabsorbed; the circulation in the lymph as well as in the general circulation carrying same through the system. Hence it attacks more the natural lymph flow about the joints, as well as in the locomotories of the body where it forms what may be called flexes or reflexes in portions of the system. Thus the condition as we have indicated in the body.

9. As we find, then, as has been outlined, and as to why now these changes would be made or these conditions added to what has been indicated - while some of these may be gradually left off, we find THESE would be the applications in the present for the most EFFECTUAL way of eliminating the disturbing forces and readjusting the system or allowing the system to readjust itself to more normal or better activities throughout:

10. From the very nature of the adherence or stricture through the gall duct area, and the lower portion of the pylorus or the lower portion of the duodenum and portions of the pylorus that become affected, we would apply the Castor Oil Packs at regular intervals twice a week.

11. We find these would be more effective if the areas about the gall duct would be painted with a solution that would form an activity in the muscular forces, and being driven in or absorbed by the superficial circulation AS the Packs are applied.

12. Hence, each time BEFORE the Castor Oil Packs are applied, we would first paint the area with a combination of the opiate with Aconite; the proportions being three parts Laudanum to one part Aconite. Use a camel's hair brush or the like in painting the body. Then apply the hot Castor Oil Packs, using at least three thicknesses of flannel. These should cover the area of the lower portion of the liver, the lacteal duct as related to the umbilicus plexus, and extending even to the caecum area. Do not just pour on the oil, but wring out the cloths in the oil, you see, and apply as warm as the body can stand. Then apply cloths or a pack to prevent the oils from spoiling the clothing, you see. And the body should, of course, rest when these Packs are applied. Then apply the electric pad. Let these remain on for about two hours; and do this preferably about twice a week.

13. About an hour and a half AFTER the Oil Packs have been used (or removed), we would take internally a dessertspoonful of Olive Oil - pure Olive Oil. In this

1623-4 Page 3

particular case it is better to take it in a quantity than attempting to assimilate it in small doses.

14. Also, when there is the heaviness across the lower portion of the kidney and the lumbar area, we would massage the body with an equal combination of Mutton Suet, Spirits of Turpentine and Spirits of Camphor. This will be most beneficial.

15. The activity of the Oil, as well as the Laudanum and Aconite, is to alleviate first the tendencies for inflammation, or the inflammation as related to elimination in the activities of the gall duct area, or the gall bladder itself; AND the liver as combined with its activity. This will also produce the closer associations of the secretions from same to the assimilating system.

16. With this being done, it may produce some little heaviness at times through the kidney circulation. Hence the application of the Mutton Suet, Turpentine and Camphor - an equal combination. This may be rubbed on and then a cloth placed over same, and then a warm pad put over same. This will relax the body thoroughly.

17. Keep up the osteopathic adjustments in periods - that is, about every two weeks have a week or ten days of the thorough adjustment. The activity of this with the system is to stimulate the ganglia along the cerebrospinal system to produce better coordinations with the activity of the functioning of the system, setting up better drainages and better coordinations through the ganglia of the impulse of the cerebrospinal and sympathetic system with the activity of assimilation and elimination as related to the internally disturbed organs.

18. These as we find will keep down the inclination for the inflammatory forces and bring for the body a greater and better improvement.

19. Do that.

20. Ready for questions.

21. (Q) Is the tenderness in the gall bladder region due to diseased gall-bladder, or to the celiac ganglion which lies underneath? (A) As indicated, we find it is a condition in the gall DUCT; not so much in the bladder nor in the area UNDER same, - save sympathetically - as indicated by the activity of this upon the muscular forces about the end of the duodenum, and the reflex to the pylorus.

22. (Q) Would you consider the use of homeopathic remedies? Of compresses made from the juices of herbs? If so, what would you suggest? (A) As we find, the use of these Oils AND the applications indicated for the allaying of the inflammatory forces as

1623-4 Page 4

combined with same, would be the most effective in the special condition, see?
